Hi Girls :D
Sharon, was it you that asked me about the Grug nappy? I won that one on an auction, but I have bought 3 other customs from her (Bonnibuns) and her nappies are great. We're yet to have leakage, and they're so well made. After we discussed what we wanted (as far as a custom goes) it only took 1-2 weeks to get it :)
I've tried quite a few different types of MCN's now, and she's my 2nd favourite... the pop ins are my fave, but they're not exciting as far as prints etc ;)
Yules - thanks so much for your lovely wall post about Carmelo today
GM - Deacons photos are lovely :) I was looking at them today & noticed how well he sits on his own! Carmelo has been sitting by himself for a few weeks... but he's still quite wobbly... and once he sees a toy he wants, he usually ends up face first into the carpet
Big :hello: to everyone else!
As for us... Carmelo is doing perfectly :D
My goodness.... he has found his voice in the last week, so he is all day talking to himself... and not so quietly, lol! I was on the phone to my mum last night and had to walk into the next room because I couldn't hear!
He is such a happy little man, even when he first wakes and is still groggy, he's smiling while he's rubbing his eyes.. he's just so beautiful.
I had him weighed last week and he weighs 7.22kgs... which is fantastic considering we started at 2.8kgs! He's almost on the 50% band now (well for his corrected age!)
As far as solids go, I let him fiddle (BLS) but I give him the puree as well... at the moment he's 2 meals a day. Its not really puree as such, in the morning he has porridge and I mix through either some mashed banana or some fruit from the tins... there's always lumps, though.
He likes sucking on vegemite toast/bread afterwards.
For dinner, I've been making my own for him - steamed mixed vegies (carrot, broccoli, zucchini, pumpkin, potato, beans, mushroom), and then blending it loosely so its still a little chunky. I mix through some grated cheese with it in the mixer.
Last week I pan fried some chicken in olive oil and then blended that up (came out like bread crumbs) and mixed that through the vegies and cheese... Carmelo loved it! I try to make up enough to last 3-4 days so I can keep it in the fridge and then just reheat at dinner time.
He's still not a brilliant sleeper... but doing much better!!!
His last feed is at 10pm, and then he'll either go down for the night until about 7am, or if he wakes, its only once at about 4.30am... and then will sleep through til about 9am.
Most nights he's waking for that 4.30am feed.... but last week he slept through 4 nights in a row (my stupid body woke up still at 4.30am... augh!).
Hoping everyone is doing wonderfully xoxoxo
