Cap - I have a baby bjorn. I like it and Phoebe seems happy enough in it. When I shop I take the pram and if she gets cranky I put her in the sling. Grocery shopping I leave until the weekend and make DH come too. I pass it off as a family outing but really I am just too scared to attempt it bymyself with both girls.
PM - The only time P goes that long between a feed is at night. During the day she feeds around 2 hourly. However she will only normally take one side at the moment for some reason. And if I am going out or putting her down for a nap I offer her milk in the hope she will sleep/ be settled.
Sleepy - Yay for shopping for you (even if Cooper made the makeup a necessity). I bought t-shirts the other day and was excited!
Is anyone else feeling a bit flat atm? I don't know if it is lack of sleep or what but I have next to no motivation. I'm not sleeping very well and just can't be bothered doing much. I can't even say P is difficult. Since seeing the chiro she is a mostly happy bub. I think she is having a growth spurt but only waking one extra time for a feed and then straight back to sleep. Oh well, I'm sure it will pass soon! Have a great weekend!

**** its been FOREVER since I've been here!
I've been thinking of you all, but between the kids being sick on and off (they have been tag teaming!!), and Dr appointments etc life is just shocking...I access facebook a lot cause i can use it reliably on my phone...tapatalk (the forum app) hates me and always crashes!!!
I haven't been able to catch up....so I'll just quickly tell you roughly where we are up to at the moment for now and try and continue from there!
Kaylee is feeding 3.5-4 hourly during the day (and is finally back to drinking around 120ml per feed...when she was sick, I was lucky to get 50 into her!), she is up and down like a yo yo! (Up for an hour....down for around 2-3)
Over night she feeds usually between 5:30 and 6:30pm, then goes off to sleep. When she's well, she wakes anywhere between 2 and 5am for a feed, then goes back to sleep until between 7 and 8.
When she was sick she'd wake at 11, 1, 3 and 5 (then I'd give up at7!)
We are off to the paediatrician in a couple of weeks to have some further investigation into the UTI's (she's now had 2), I hope we get some answers, but so far I've had 2 of my trusted GP's tell me that its likely that she'll end up on low dose antibiotics permanently until she's toilet trained (therefore poo wont end up up her front!!)
Her reflux is totally under control now (AWESOME!) and overall we are doing great!
I'm so so so sorry I've been MIA Ladies!!
-
Hi ladies,
I don't think I got back here to tell you all how Miss Hadley went at the clinic last week. She is still 53cm (same as her 6 week check) & 5.7kg bare weight, so the 50 percentile for both and on the 75th% for her HC which I didn't ask what it was (they just made a note in her book. So all on par with a big head! lol ;)
BW - I hope you get some answers to why K has been getting the UTI's, poor little baby!
MarniKat - I have been feeling a little flat but I think its due to being awake a fair bit through the night. I still lay awake around 3am waiting for H to wake for a feed which is now generally 4-5am and T has been getting up twice a night to wee lately, then I lay awake then too. Then DH wakes me of a morning as he feels I should be up and starting my day at 7 because he does (mind you he sleeps soundly ALL night!) lol so I guess thats why I'm feeling a little flat, I really don't do well without my precious sleep!
Sleepy - I love the full belly smiles when H pulls herself off the boob! It makes all the cares in the world just float away! :)
I hope you're all getting plenty of sleep and you're all happy and well!
-
Hi all. We are all sick with tummy bugs :( I was trying to fight off the flu last night, trying to sweat it out. I was awake most of the night too. I am getting DH to stay home with me' today. I don't think I can deal with it all alone.
I figured out that Elijah is having around 5 feeds a day too. But I'm a bit concerned as he generally only take one side during the day but both during the night. I have a very sore left breast ad he doesn't take to that side very well. He squirms and crys and carries on. So maybe it's mastitis which I hope not. But we all have the dreaded tummy bug. So we aren't happy campers around here.
BW - Don't be sorry for MIA, it's quite understandable. I hope you get the UTI's sorted out. That's not very good for poor little Kaylee :(
A big hello to everyone else and hope you're all doing well. :)
-
BW - hello there, you've had a rough trot with your littlies. Hope you get K's UTI's sorted out but glad to hear her reflux has finally settled :)
Sleepy - you poor things, hope the tummy bug passes quickly and everyone is feeling better soon. I don't blame you for making your DH stay home to help out.
Carriers - I've got an ergo which I haven't used yet I even bought the infant insert a few weeks ago but she seems to big for insert and she is still pint size and only 5.4kgs and too little for ergo on it's own. I have a nuture sling I bought of ebay which I use when out shopping and A seems to like that and falls asleep everytime she's in it.
BF'ing - A goes about 3.5hours between feeds during the day then starting about 5-6ish seems to cluster feed every 2hours until bedtime at 9-9.30pm then goes through til about 7ish next morning. She used to favour my right breast but past couple of weeks now prefers my left, I generally offer both and just go with her mood.
Feeling flat - I have been feeling like doing absolutely nothing and having no energy as well the past few weeks, had put it down to packing & moving. I also haven't been taking my multivitamin and notice the difference - have to go hunting through some boxes to find them.
Well we are all moved in at mums, I have a few things I still have go and get from the old place before it gets knocked down, but it's nothing urgent and I have a couple of weeks :) It's the first time I've lived home in 10 years, hope I don't kill my mother anytime soon lol.
A is a little out of routine being dragged out & about during day to old house to do stuff and also we've had to start doing our selections for new house. She has started waking earlier and earlier and yesterday it was 5.30, I had to get her up this morning to take DH to airport but she is now down for a nap.........she takes after her mum and is cranky as anything when she's tired :D Hopefully she settles down again.
-
Hi ladies
BW- hope you get the UTI situation sorted out soon when i was little and still do now sometimes get them they are quite awful poor little darl.
Sleepy- Hope the bug leaves you soon i know how hard it is when we had the spews and poos a few weeks back it was terrible and i couldnt of done it if it wasnt for my mum coming and helping out as DP had it to hope you all get better soon.
Pheonix- glad the move has gone smoothly for you all.
hello to everyone else
Not alot hapopening here M hasnt been to bad last 2 days waking at either 2 or 4 am but the dummy has been doing the trick lately but still taking abit to get settled at night before bed reflux has been good today i have stopped using zantac as it wasnt working and seems to make her worse now if she has it got a docs appointment next week so will see how we go.
i have brought the sleepy wrap and might keep a look out for another carrier aswell for when she is abit bigger but will try this for now when it arrives wish it was here before tommorrow as i have to go shopping and i havent attempted it since our last episode but will have to just try and cope mum is coming with me so will be alot easier.
anyway i better run getb these kidlets organised takecare everyone.
-
Cap - I hope shopping goes much better for you tomorrow. Having your mum will make a difference - I always like to take someone if I can. Hopefully you will sort out something with May's reflux. I know stopping dressing P in 2 pieces helped. Having that band around her belly seemed to irritate her.
Phoenix - Glad you are settled in! How do you think you will go living with your mum? And how fantastic that A sleeps so well overnight. With the cluster feeding how often/ and long does she feed for?
Sleepy - I really hope you feel better soon. Must be nothing worse that having a tummy bug and having to feed a bubba!
BW - Hope you can sort out K's uti's. They must be awful for her.
Tiff - Hi! Glad that H is doing so well. Did T like pre-school?
Well, P is now 6560g. I have a little chubba bubba! The chiro is still working wonders with her reflux, we haven't needed medication for it for 2 weeks now! So aside from not wanting to sleep sometimes I have a happy, contented little miss!
-
Oh my goodness I just lost my post!!!
Have to come back later and try again!
-
....So I'm back!
Carriers - I have a ring sling and have been using it since H was just days old! It is fantastic.... So quick and easy, cosy for H, she loves and I love having her so close. I had her laying down to start and now she chest to chest with me. I've had T in it on my hip and is comfy even with the added weight! I'd highly recommend it to anyone!
Sleepy - Hope you're all feeling better!
Pheonix - I hope everything goes well with living with your mum as I'm sure it will! Don't worry about A being out of routine, us with a 2y/o that goes to music class, swimming lessons, preschool and doing the shopping etc to fit in with T's nap time rather than H's we have a different routine for almost every day of the week! lol
Marni - What a beautifully healthy little chubba you've got there, so nice to hear!!! So great to hear the chiro is making things go so well!
Miss H has been on the flooring rolling around like mad!!! She was bare bum on the floor rolling over and over... Belly to back, back to belly! Was so cute with her chubby little tush rolling about the floor! hehehe
Hope you're all having a great day!
-
My gorgeous and much loved little baby is now suddenly refusing to lie down and sleep. I don't know why but she suddenly needs a marathon bouncing session in order to sleep. She won't feed to sleep so I can't even take that option to settle her.
I just needed to get that out so I may feel a bit better with today. Hope everyone is going well.
-
Apologies for not reading all your posts - it's been a busy few days. A close friend passed away last week and the funeral was on Tuesday. Then yesterday we went to Ikea to have a look at furniture for our renovation.
Apart from that, Boz has been a bit of a surprise too - he's been waking around 7am for nearly a week, then back to 4:20am yesterday and today 6:20am. He's also been a bit hard to get to sleep too and seems to need lots of cuddles and extra time - normally he's 3/4 asleep after his feed but lately is wide awake and all smiles....until I try to put him down!
Everything seems to be going well though. Boz is now reaching out to grab anything in sight, including my hair! He loves to grab my arm to stop me from leaving at nap time and will throw his dummy away too cos he knows I'll pick it up again (great game for him!). This morning he pulled his toy which made it vibrate and wiggle and was soooo proud of himself!
Hi to everyone - take care.
-
Marni - hope you had a better day yesterday. Those days when they are unsettled are so draining.
Jleigh - to you too, sounds like you have a rough couple of weeks. How cute with B playing games with his dummy to keep you in his bedroom when they are that cute it's so easy to give into them sometimes :)
Tiff - wow H is really rolling around, A has managed a few rolls from tummy to back and gets her legs twisting while on her back but hasn't made it over yet. Still comforting to know I can put her down and she'll stay put a little bit longer :D
Sleepy - hope everyone is feeling better
Hello to all the other yummy mummies
Since moving A has started waking earlier and earlier and now wakes up at 5-5.30 but saying that she has a feed and goes back to sleep - generally in my bed :) for another couple of hours. I'm thinking she is needing that extra feed, I've now mastered the lying down in bed feeding so can't complain. I had her weighed on Wed she is 5.35kgs & 58.5 cms but she really doesn't seem that small and certainly doesn't look skinny lol she is still in 000's think she is just going to be petite.
She is certainly a little chatterbox and chats to anyone and anything that is willing to listen and coo back to her and does this cute little pathetic cough to get my attention. Day sleeps are still a bit of a fight but for some reason if I lay her in my bed and feed her in the afternoon I'll get 1.5-2hrs out of her, so figure as long as she's sleeping that long not really caring where it is - might be an issue when she starts rolling though.
-
Phoenix - Even once she starts rolling you can just put her in the middle of the bed with pillows on either side and check on her. I think they like our beds cause the sheets smell like us!
JLeigh - Yay for Ikea! I love to go just to wander and look. And its great that Bos is doing so well.
Is Phoebe the only bubba not rolling? She likes to lay and kick her legs but doesn't really seem close to rolling. In saying that Tiana didnt roll til she was six months old. We got P a Fisher Price Jumperoo! I have to put it together yet but I think she will love it. Will put some pics up on Facebook once I have some.
-
Hi everyone, we are having a terrible time at the moment - as everyone on facebook would know! Very very drained but hopefully things will improve once bub is better and it starts warming up. Really hope so as DP is off on a surfing trip with my brother next Friday for 2 weeks. Fingers crossed - or I am not going to be a functioning working mumma! lol.
My return to work has gone well, although I miss my little man I know he is loving being with his nannas and they enjoy it too. It is a long day when I work and do the drop off pick up of the little man but I am dealing with it pretty well. I just have to be really organised. Although, I think I will enjoy when DP goes away and I can have a frozen meal for dinner and not worry about cooking lol. I am at weight watchers - have lots of weight to lose (my fault not Hunters as I put it on before I fell preggers with him). It is slowly coming off but wish I was a size 12 again!
Marni - I just wanted to let you know P is not the only one not rolling - Hunter has done it a few times but isnt doing it when I put him down. So dont worry - he is actually better at sitting up - sticky beak!! And P has caught back up to Hunter in weight - I worry he is massive as people always tell me he is big. He was 6.5kg and 61cm last week :-) and in mostly 00 now and crawler nappies - not a newborn anymore. But he is interactive now and smiles for the camera (gets that from me lol) and grabs toys (mostly go in his mouth) and is enjoying making noises with his voice (although mummy doesnt think 2am is a good time to practice).
Glad we are all having some challenges...makes mine not seem as terrible! x
-
SSM - I really hope he gets better soon! It is awful when they are unwell, you feel helpless and lost and even more so cause they are clingy and grissly and you dont get to sleep!
P is also better at sitting up. She is much happier when she can see what is going on. She is also in 00 and crawler nappies. Still fits some 000 pants but defiantely not tops or bodysuits.
Also very exciting! She just self settled herself in her cot for the first time in days!!! She has been sleeping for 2-21/2 hours too!!!
Sleepy, if you are around, How are you feeling now? Is your household improving?
-

-
Evening ladies!
JLeigh - So sorry to hear about your friend, that must have been aweful for you. I hope your little man gets back to his longer sleeps for you/
Pheonix - hehehe Miss H is a great talker too!!! My goodness, no one will get a word in when my girl really get talking... DH, T and I are all great talkers too!!! I too didn't think H was as small at what is actually is... I have people telling me she's really long and she's only 53cm!!!
Marni - I haven't heard of them, I look forward to seeing the pics!
SSM - I too wanna loose the extra dress size or two that I didn't loose after having T. I went to WW, but I am so hungry when BF, particually on the days H is feeding more. I wish you lived close so I had someone to do it all with! lol I much prefer to have support, but all my friends are really skinny and don't need to go. I wish you all the very best, I'm sure you'll be at your goal in no time!
Traylee - I had a look at your pics earlier, I haven't seen bumps in a bubs head like that before.
Have a great weekend all.
H tries so hard to sit up! lol Its quite funny, I prop her up in the corner of the lounge and she rolls forward to try to sit herself up more which sometimes results in falling forward! lol Don't worry she's never there unattended! :)
-
Hi all, just a quick one from me, to let you all know we are slowly getting better. I have been reading posts, just not posting...lol
E hasn't even started rolling over yet, altho he looks eager to start doing it any day now....he rolls from his back to his side so far.
I feel like I am finally losing the weight I put on in the last few weeks, I have stopped eating chocolate, and actually barely eating much else besides lunch and dinner, don't get time for brekky any more. Just a coffee these days lol.
Had a great weekend last weekend, and drank a bit Saturday night..lol, woke up ill but I think that may have been the tummy bug going around. I ended up having mastits, not the flu, so antibiotics helped with that. Also a bit of the tummy bug, like the rest. My third boy, Jhye has the full blown flu tho, and had to get him the $50 flu medicine :( that should be on the PBS! But oh well, least only he had it. He is doing a bit better now, he also has a chest infection now, so we are working on getting that fixed too...
Ok well, gota go to the shops and get medications and going to Kmart...need a new doona cover :) Hope everyone has a great weekend!
-
Just a quickie... computer has been playing up something rotten and I have lots to do cos we're having friends over tomorrow, which in hindsight isn't the best idea as we're in the middle of renovating and the house looks like a tip!
Rolling - B isn't even close so don't worry Marnikat. He kicks out on his tummy, and the last day or two has started reaching for toys which I think might help encourage him, but honestly, he doesn't seem all that interested. Congrats to those smart bubs who are though!!
Ikea - We bought the cheap high chair from there, even though B isn't ready for it yet. And we'll get our furniture from there too.
Sleeps - B slept for 2.5 hours yesterday, and has been down for over 1.5 hours now with no signs of waking. Sure beats the 40 min naps I'm used to! And he seems to be soooo easy to put down atm (though I've probably jinxed myself by saying that!). Nights are anywhere from 8-11 hours, seems to change every day.
SSM - Sounds like the transition to work is doing well and that you are a well-organised machine!!
Sickness - Hope everyone who's sick or has sick LO's is feeling better soon - Traylee, Sleepy and SSM.
Weight - GL with loosing weight. Luckily it isn't a problem for me, but I empathise with you guys and wish you all the best. There are some supportive threads in here I have been told.
MCN's - I got fluff mail yesterday so have been busy washing and am now testing out my new Chinese cheapie nappies - so far no leaks! And they are pretty darn cute too, though a little bulky.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
-
Hi ladies
just a quick one from me
rolling- May dosent look anywhere close to rolling yet my last DD didnt roll over till she was 6mths+ i am in no rush for her to start getting to mobile yet anyway.
Sickness- we all have colds here now this terrible weather.
Weight- also wish you ladies good luck with your weight loss journeys.
Quick update from us May has been better although she has the runny nose like the rest of us at the moment some nights still wakes around 3-4am but last night slept through.
We got the sleepy wrap and gave it a test run the other day shopping she loved it and it was the best shopping trip i have had.
anyway mays awake takecare and hope everyone is well
-
well i had a big cry tonight cause one of troys friends wife told me she thinks scarlet looks like a down syndrome baby and that they have a skull like that to,
i cried lots and lots and was very hurt,
i think she is beautiful baby, and she laughs and stuff, she hates tummy time so doesnt push up cause she screams instead, but i have seen her do it twice, she gets excited to see us and specially hayley big sister,
i looked up newborn skull on net is was similar shape
i think her head might be a think to fix with a helmet if it needs it, which i hope doesnt but if so then we will have to, but i am so upset, do u think she looks like a downs baby please be honest with me even if it does hurt me
-
Traylee - that lady sounds like a *****! Every baby has a different shaped head and S's head is just a variation of normal im sure (I am no doctor though) It just seems she has more of a wide head at the back - which my cousin had :-) Everyone seemed to have an opinion but that was just her head shape and she is abolutlely fine now - about to pop a baby of her own (wonder if she will have her mummys shaped head). Clearly she doesnt have downs (not that I think that is an appropriate comment)! Try not to worry and go see a doctor to put your mind at ease. I think it is normal to worry about every little thing with your bubs - I worry people think Hunter has sticky out ears - but who cares we love them just the way they are!
Cap - hope the runny noses go away very soon, well done May on the sleeping through!
Jleigh - go Boz with the sleeping (which is eluding me at the moment) and have fun with those fluffy nappies!
Sleepy = bet it was nice to have a drink! I know how you feel with shelling out lots of $$$ for medications...gggrrrrrr
Tiff - that is so cute, H is so clever! Hunter was the same but since he has been sick he isnt into trying anything new
Hi to everyone else, we are still not good, Hunter is still as sick as a dog but we managed to keep him in his own room until 5am, although I think we still has to go into him at 2,3 and 4. And at 6 i had to get out of bed with him as he was so congested - poor thing! I am currently typing with one hand while he sleeps! lol We managed to get into the doctor today and waited for nearly two hours despite being taken to the treatment room straight away cos he was screaming and couldnt breathe. I think little man has cried more in the past 4 days than he has in his whole life! so sad. but got meds and a vapouriser (only spent $100 :-() and hopefully it kicks in today - he had 3 doses yesterday - dont know how much more we can take, both dp and i are so tired! Pushing him out was nothing compared to this - it breaks my heart to see him unwell. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend
-
SSM - I really hope Hunter improves soon! It is awful not being able to do much. I know you guys dont co-sleep but have you tried sitting propped up and letting him sleep on his tummy on your chest? It will be easier for him to breathe like this and you could try and get some sleep at the same time :)
Traylee - That was just a nasty thing for someone to say. Scarlett is obviously not a downs baby. I really doubt her head is anything to be concerned over but I think you should try and get in to the drs about it just so you stop worrying! You know she is a happy and content bubba so just ignore that nasty person.
Sleepy - Glad you are improving!! Hopefully you will all be better soon. Did you get a new doona cover?
JLeigh - Have fun with your fluffy mail! And yay on Bos sleeping. Sounds like you needed it!
Cap - Glad I'm not the only one with a bub not really interested in rolling. But how fantastic that May is now sleeping well for you.
Hi Tiff! Hope you have had a nice weekend.
Well, P has woken all congested and yukky this morning. Had a vomit of what looked like snot. Sorry know its gross! She seems happy enough though. I'm just hoping it doesnt get worse as DH has a nasty bout of Bronchitis which came on literally overnight. Thursday morning he asked me to take his temp while I was feeding P and it was 40.2! Yet being male, he took panadol and went to work! However he is now whinging constantly about how terrible he feels...
Hope that everyone is having a fantastic weekend!!!
-
Just a quickie from me too ladies!
Oh my goodness Traylee that is freak'n aweful!!! There is no way in the world your little girl has downs! That women needs a slap across her face for saying something like that, from the pics I've seen she doesn't look a thing like a downs bub. I am so angry for you. My nan's hubby's son has a 3y/o with downs.... She looks like a down bub, she's beautiful all the same don't get me wrong, but looks nothing like your little girl. She is VERY delaid in everything she does, S is far from delayed and some babies just don't like tummy time! My mum works with a lady that's little girl had a flat head from birth and yes she had to have a helmet on for a while. She is now a happy almost 3y/o with a normal looking head (and lets be honest, not many babies have perfect shaped heads and with hair noone would ever know!). If I was you I would get someone to have a look at it to see if she will need the helmet in the future, but be assured you have a perfectly normal, beautiful baby girl.
:hello: to everyone else. I really need to get out of my PJ's!!!
Have a great day all.
Another  Traylee
-
Traylee - That has to be the meanest and most horrible thing I've heard someone say about a baby. S most definately DOES NOT look like she has downs, from the pics on FB she looks like a smiley, happy and content little bubba. Like the others have said if you are concerned I'd go get her checked out by a doc.
SSM - Poor little H, I hope the meds and vapouriser start helping him soon to unblock his nose and help him feel better, so he can get back to his happy little self. that you have to do all that and go to work to, definately a super mum.
Caplay - great to hear the wrap was a success and you had a enjoyable shopping experience :)
Jleigh - YAY for fluffy mail, who would have though you could get so excited over nappies lol. I got a delivery last week and couldn't wait to wash them.
Marni - you have a tough husband, bronchitis in man flu terms would be almost terminal lol. Hope he gets better soon and noone else gets sick.
Sleepy - how did the shopping go, I love retail therapy.
Rolling - after her attempt last week of 3 tummy to back rolls, she hasn't done it again and shows no interest so maybe they were a fluke. On her back she kicks her legs and with nappy off twist her legs from one side to the other. Am quite happy for her to be immobile for a bit longer yet :D
Nothing much going on here. Mum is sick so trying to keep my distance so we don't catch it while still trying to help her out. It's 99% certain DH will be changing his work location from SA to QLD. He'll still be doing 2 on 2 off and fly in fly out, which means no move - thank god coz I want to build and enjoy my new house, but it does mean when cheap flights are on I'll by flying up to meet him up in brissie on his way home so we can have a mini holiday there and where I can catch up with my old work mates from Christmas Island or on the sunshine coast to see his sister........so if you brissie girls are up for meeting IRL :)
-
Morning ladies
Traylee- i havent seen the pics but what an awful thing for someone to say i agree with the others maybe just going the doc to get him to have a look just to put your mind at ease some people have no thought or feelings for others please dont let other people get you down and upset they arnt worth crying over S sounds perfectly healthy and normal.
SSM- im sorry to hear H is still ill and i really hope thhings improve for you soon it is so awful when they are sick and theres not a whole lot we can do about it heres hoping H has a speedy recovery and you start to get abit more sleep
Marni-Hopefully P dosent get sick and it was just a one off hope your DH gets better soon there seems to be alot of bronchitis around atm here also.
Sleepy- glad you enjoyed your few drinks and things are improving sickness wise for you there is so much of it around atm.
Pheonix- Yes i am never in a real big rush for my little ones to get to mobile to quickly my last DD didnt crawl till she was 1 and didnt walk till a couple months before M was born 16mths thats great you dont have to move and you will get to enjoy your new house.
Jleigh- i wish we had an ikea here i went to one in SA when at my brothers and boy i never thought they could have so much in one shop lol
Hello to everyone else i have missed
We didnt do alot on the weekend i did take my older 2 kids shopping yesterday which was nice to just spend some time with them sometimes i feel they miss out abit as things can be quite hectic at times with just the 2 little ones but we had a good day which was nice. My mum is going away to my brothers for 2 weeks so i am going to miss her while she is away i enjoy the weekends when she comes and stays etc.
May has the cold like the rest of us it is just so wet and cold here i think everyone i speak to has some sort of cold or flu.
We have been up since 4:30am gone back to that feed this morning could be just cause she has the cold and needs the extra fluids now i am debating weather to go back to bed or not but i have to be up again shortly to get kids off to school.
May has been alot more content though i have stopped all meds for the reflux and she has been really better even layed on the floor last night and played which is a first for her she is smiling all the time and starting to talk in her own little language it is so cute i love those little sounds and she looks straight into my eyes so gorgeous.
Anyway i can here DD19mths now shes teething something terrible atm better run attend to her
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
takecare

hi all
I've been reading but not posting. I feel like I've been really busy but haven't really been doing much. Lots of staying home and giving E practice settling and resettling in her cot during the day. She's going great at settling - responds much better to me just leaving the room rather than patting etc that I was doing before. We have a little nap time routine of story, swaddle, close blinds and down which seems to be working. Resettling is also getting better and she occasionally manages more than 1 sleep cycle on her own, so yay! I'm still carrying her in the sling for 1 sleep a day so I can get out of the house a bit.
Cap - glad you like the sling and could do some shopping! They're a life saver.
Traylee - don't worry about silly people making uneducated comments. I can't see the pic but like everyone else has said, take S to the doc if you're really worried. Get the opinion of someone who knows what they're talking about.
Sickness - Sounds like everyone has had a bout of something! We've all got colds here. E took a while to settle last night with a snotty nose, but thankfully slept well after that (either that or I was just so tired i didn't hear her!). A was a up a couple of nights on the run not feeling well. One night she threw up all over her bed which wasn't fun, but she seems to be much better now. I hope everyone gets better really soon.
SSM - I must have missed something. What's wrong with Hunter?? Hope he gets better soon, sounds like you need a break!
Weight loss - good luck to everyone trying to lose some kgs. Winter is not a fun time for dieting, and crappy weather makes exercise harder.
DH has taken A out and E is asleep. Better make the most of it and do something!

Hi ladies,
Sorry I've been a bit busy. My aunty had a Baby boy on Monday (elective C-section) and I got to go and meet him last night. It makes me soooo clucky walking into the hossy that I birthed my girls, passed the delivery suits and see all the little babies about.... I can't wait to be back there having another bub! It was so great meeting the little man too, they're just so little when they're new! Oh and they named him Lennox Bernard (Bernard being after my grandad who died in May).
There really is not a lot going on here. DH is sick, T is getting sick as is H and I have had a sinus head ache all day so think I'll be next  So just trying to get a heap of fruit and veg into us all and fight back!
Hope you're all happy and well. Sorry for no persies

Tiff - Hope you all get better really soon!
pmccask - Yay on E settling. Sounds like she is really settling down for you!
We are all doing ok here. P has a cold and is not drinking as much which means that my boobies are huge and uncomfortable again. I have been expressing again. She seems to be on the mend though. We had a sad day here yesterday, Tiana's baby has stopped sucking her bottle and dummy :( Which meant that she then came running to me in tears telling me that baby Lily will be dead cause she can't eat! I don't know where she got it from but I convinced her that she will be fine and is just not hungry. Meanwhile I am off to Brisbane today to get a new baby for Tiana and hopefully she will believe that Lily got better! lol. The things we do!
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Marni - Oh how horrible for T, she'll be none the wiser when her baby starts eating again! ;) We were in the supermarket carpark a couple of weeks ago and there was a boy laying in the gutter (waiting for his mum to pack the car) and T says to me, "Mum look thats boy's dead" :o I have no idea where she got that from?! It's funny how they just pick things up.Anyways, I hope P is feeling better soon and your boobies work out whats going on!

Afternoon everyone, I'm so far behind again.....now I have internet connected again will be on here more often :)
A had her needles yesterday and was fine up until about 8pm at which time she turned feral, she even went down to bed without her usual nighttime feed. Would through a tantrum when I laid her down to offer her my breast. So thought she'd be up again soon for it, but she slept right through until 7 this morning, had a feed and was out until 10.30am........after that she turned grizzly and clingy again.
Ahhh there she goes again - but on a side note had mothers group this arvo and one of the mums is 8 weeks pregnant!

Hi All.
Sorry I've been MIA. But E has decided that sleeping thru is not for him! He wakes anywhere between 12 and 2 and then 4 hours later. So I've been pretty tired again lately.
I can't believe how quickly time is going by. E is nearly 4 months old. I tried him on that summer fruits gel last night. I don't think he likes it. He had 3 tiny bits. But tonight I gave him a teaspoon of farex with breast milk. He loved it! I think my boy is like his dad and loves savory foods. So I'm glad I only bought 3 jars of the gels.
He is trying to sit up already. He pulls the top half of his body off the ground/chair and has really strong muscles. I think he just wants to hang out with everyone and see what's going on. Lol.
Anyway I better go and have a shower. I'm sooo exhausted. Plus DH and Cooper are talking between themselves about having more brothers/sisters....hhhhmmmm not sure about that one.
Phoenix - Does the mum in your mums group have a baby same age as ours? Cos that's crazy...lol. Awefully close together! Don't know how I'd deal with that! Lol.

Sleepy - P doesn't sleep through either. She only wakes once normally for a feed though and just goes back down. Can't complain. So I take it DH wants more babies? Tiana has been telling everyone that I am having her baby brother - this is news to me lol. Hope that E sleeps well for you tonight.
Phoenix - Oh, nasty needles! I need to book P in for hers this week :( I hope that she has improved for you tonight.
Cap - Hope you all feel better!
We have had a yucky day. It has been raining so we have been stuck inside all day and Tiana has gone a bit feral and P had moments too! P is now in bed but had to be cuddled to sleep tonight - which isn't normal. But was nice to have cuddles anyway. Well I am off to bed - Hope everyone has a good night!
