Yup if you are wanting a VBAC thats the recommended amount of time between births. Having said that I had 16 months between mine - so depends who your care provider is I suppose.:
My sister has had 4 c-sections, the last two being a year apart exactly (her 3rd child was stillborn, and she fell pregnant with her second daughter 3 months later).

Mr I had his needles today and he was soo upset all day, I wasn't overly happy either I had my whooping cough booster and felt off all day (the crying baby could have been the reason I had a headache though).
Argh finally got Theo down. On his belly. Again. Oopsie! It seems to be the only way he'll settle these days.. :wall:
Natty V is just GORGEOUS! Dark hair and blue eyes, just lovely! Dad will be fighting those boys off with a wooden bat in years to come, haha.
They must have changed them Arimeh, cause my Baby bjorn is nothing like that at all. Theo is supported by his bum, You can put there arms out the little arm holes if you choose, but Theo places his hands against my boobs and kinda nuzzles into his hands/boob area iykwim. But yea, doesnt sounds like the one i bought at all, he is totally supported by his bum, and then the padding supports his back and body. Actually it seems very similar to the one in your FB photo, except there is a spot for his legs to come out.:
Oh - and about the baby bjorn - most of the reviews are about how bad they are for the baby's spine (because bubs just sorta hangs there by its armpits basically)
Snowy i hope Mr I sleeps well tonight, poor little man. ANd i hope your arm doesn't end up totally dead! mine was a bit achey for a couple of days, and DHs was like it for a week (but he also gets bad cases of man sickness, and needs to harden up, lol).
Alison hope your visit went well too, what a PITA that your boss wasn't even there!
Billy i checked theo's. Its probably the size of a 10cent piece (same as whoever said that, lol, bad memory!). But 10c piece in a funny shape iykwim. I really hope all is well xx

Oh well thats good that they have changed them! A few years ago they were really really bad, hence all the reviews, and to be honest, I haven't looked at them since that. But if the company is taking it on board and making the changes to make them better - awesome! Kudos to them :D:

Hi Arimeh, I have a Baby Bjorn as well and like Telly said it's very supportive, I'm quite impressed actually - they're also very supportive for the wearer, I suffer bad shoulders and neck so had to be careful hence why I didn't go a sling as such and this has great lumbur support and is very comfortable, I definitely think they've improved them in the last couple of years. I finally put mine together and tried it out tonight and it's ever so comfy, can't wait to use it now I can - I'm at the 6 week mark so can get back to normal! Wahoo! Guess that means I should get exercising and get rid of this gut and extra 8 kgs, urgggh! Still waiting for the fenugreek to kick in, I just managed to express 30 ml which is good for me but I want more!!!!
The visit into work went great, was there for over 3 hours though as it took ages to see everyone, they all loved Amelia and she was so good today. Everyone said they miss me too which made me feel nice. I thought I'd feel funny and get all sad about missing work but nope ha ha - was quite happy to visit and go home with my little girl. :D I'm going to have to go back in in a couple of weeks as my boss was on leave and also one of the other guys who gave me a lovely present was on leave and he'll be disappointed that he didn't get to meet Amelia so I'll go back in.
Anyway, catching up with my swimming girls tomorrow - got a busy week this week and it's getting hotter as the week goes on.
I must go check out these pics of yours Natty, will do that now.

I have an ergo carrier and i just love it more so coz i got it for a steal on ebay! and also i made a wrap style one like a hug a bub- which is ace too. harper could stay in there snuggled next to my bb's all day! Good luck with increasing your milk supply too- wish i could share some of mine with you, i have loads! i soak through 2 breast pads daily and harper constantly coughs and splutters each feed. a real pain actually. hard for her to feed well in the beginning and im sick of having wet patches on my tops all the time :shakehead:
arimeh- as you can see im addicted to slings like you, but may not have such a collection! i just love them! as do our bubbas! i hear you on the close age difference. tully is almost 18 months so theres under 17months difference between. its tough. he is a bit little to totally understand and is just into EVERYTHING! but he is a real sweetie and i think too young to be really jealous. But i hope their closeness make them great friends and playmates when they're older. a friend has her 2 a bit closer and they are 5 and nearly 4 now and are just the best of friends. and maybe our number three will be close too! i'll be 28 this september and want another by the time im 30- not that it really matters. so that will be 3 under 4 if it happens that way! then i'll comvince dh that we should have 4! i never wanted more than 2 kids, but since these 2, i don't think i ever want to stop! he he definately 3 though.....

anyway- enough with my telly obsession- i too get all soppy looking at my beautiful bubbas. wow! look what we created! and i too would cut of my leg with a rusty butterknife for them in a heartbeat. amazing what you feel for a child. now i understand why my folks are so soppy to me still and im 27!
Harper is fairly clingy to me too atm and is actually sleeping on her tummy atm. whatever works sometimes huh.....
your fb photos are just devine too- what great baby makers you two are! kaili is such a stunner and theo! heartbreaker! i just love my boy- i bet you do too. What is your background?? where does kaili get her gorgeous skin and dark eyes from?
i'm in a shopping mood too and feel a bit rich too. our business is doing well and its a safe feeling having money for when you want. I have been browsing ebay a fair bit at the moment which can be dangerous.......but i did get the cutest country road dress for harper! love it!
oh and lastly telly my love- come visit your friend in melbourne and ME!!!!!!!!!! now you have more than her to just visit! Ubba is in melb too!!!!!
and i feel the same with tully as you do with kaili. he has been plonked inside in front of the telly since about 38 weeks coz i was just over it. poor little darlin. no wonder he acts up sometimes. i just dont know how to have quality one on one time with him with a 4 week old harper!
snowy- hope mr I feels better from his needles. DH had a bit of a cough and was a bit sore from his booster. i hate seeing the little ones get needles- i sook more than them i think! hope all is well with you guys!
heavenly- hope serenity shakes those sniffles and sleeps a bit better- and i hope jose is all good now. What a terryfiying time. scary just for you but more so with the kiddies around. very bizarre, but sweet to see how protective he is. hope it never happens again.
kymmy- hope you are going well. We had ds vacc and will have harper vacc too. hope you aren't too torn with your decision. fontanelles sink when they are a bit dehydrated- so it was prob just near feed time- harpers feels like that sometimes too. hope all is well
billy- hope ellas fontanelles arent worrying you too much, im sure its just a natural diference. how are you going with 3 kiddies?
natty- yay for V!!!!! im so glad she is settling a bit better. H has been a bit clingy and i feel as though my arm is going to fall off if i hold her anymore! feels like all day! No wonder my booty is still so fat- i barely move off the couch these days!
J'ds mum- im hearing ya with the poor un loved older child! i feel as though all i do is yell at tully sometimes. and everything he does annoys me too! im sure they will be fine. i hope you get through it ok and if you have any tips.....i'd love them!!!

afm- well harper is 4 weeks old now! wow! where does that go??? feels like just yesterday i was 39 weeks and so over it!
we saw MCHN yesterday and harper is doing well. i was worried that she wasnt feeing enough- she'd a super speed feeder- barely spends 5 mins on a side sometimes- must be an effeicent sucker. She is a little porker now- up 700g in 2 weeks and another 1.5 cm taller! im so glad- it was hard with such a tiny fragile little one! A dr friend of ours says i must be a good cow! LOVE IT!
she has been a little unsettled with wind pain but infants friend has been helping.
i do feel a bit house bound though. its hard to get out with 2. havent done the grocery shopping with them yet. kinda dreading it coz tully has not co operated the last few times we went before harper was born.
having a bit of a hard time with my post baby body too. you all know what its like i guess. just hate it. hate how i look and feel. they are worth it but i just feel a bit down.
we are closing the cafe for 2 weeks after australia day. boy are we looking forward to that! we are going to go stay by the beach for a week to get away. poor dh is so tired. he works so hard. working for yourself is tough. tully will love the beach! he loves water!
last weekend i went by my self with the kiddies to echuca to stay with my folks at their holiday cabin that we have gone to since i was 12. being there was good but the 2.5hr drive was tough by my self. tully loved the river and we just had a few relaxing days.
think thats enough from me! what a rant

Good to hear from you Sarah! I was wondering how you were going.. Tully and Harper are sooo beautiful! Glad you are settling into your new role well! It's amazing how fast they grow isn't it!? Archie is enormous! Haven't had him weighed in a bit as the child health centre is closed til tomorrow but he had outgrown newborn nappies (huggies) at two weeks and now fits into the crawler size! He is only 5.5 weeks old! I really feel the urge to have another one too! Just have to convince DH! Glad you had a good time away x

Alison: Glad you had a good time back at work! I have a busy week of catchups too! And as for the pressies, i can't believe how much stuff Archie has been given!! I had to clean out his drawers already cos all the clothes don't fit! And his cot is full of teddies.. just lucky he doesn't sleep in there yet!
Oh i'd better go... just saw the time and i have a visitor coming soon... the last visitor caught me fresh out the shower in my dressing gown and got lumped baby sitting while i got ready!

Kymmy how hard are trolleys one handed! I guess it just takes a bit of practice at working out the timings..I have wondered if you could park the trolley and go back later for it lol..As for the Vaccs I know they have gross stuff in them but I havent researched enough to oppose them so V will be getting them. I have seen some ACA stuff on TV but not enough to not get them done, up to the induvidual of course...
Hi Telly, the Ergo carrier I got from Baby Kingdom but they only had one and it was camel coloured haha it looks like something Id wear in the Army dh and I had a big laugh about that but Im so impatient I wanted it for that day to use at the shops so I settled for it, Its a pity its not pretty but it is just a carrier and maybe..just maybe dh will use it on his back later on....He really doesnt want to use a sling he reckons they are gay haha...I like it because all the weight sits evenly on your shoulders and hips, we wear similarly rigged things at work and it feels quite familliar. V fits into it without the insert for infants but I have ordered one anyway so I dont hurt her neck unknowingly... You can also get them at Babies Galore... How did you go with the earrings discussion? I would like Vs done I think babies look so pretty with them done but as I said before, dh says a big fat no lol.. Aww thats such a nice thing to say I think she is pretty too haha biased much? lol...
Billy I cant see Vs cos of the hair and it grosses me out to touch it so Im not sure but the paedeatrician yesterday said it was ok...Once again not sure what ok consists of.

Afm, Things here just keep getting better! I have started putting V to sleep on her tummy too...She gets out of every wrap or wakes herself up struggling so I have given up...Ill be putting the sensor pads under her mattress tonight because I was freaked out the first time did it but she is staying asleep which is a miracle once again...I really missed her in my bed this morning I wanted to go gt her lol but Im trying to cut the co sleeping to a minimum as she is def geting used to it and I cant sleep properly with her with us and dh slept on the couch last night...not good...
Hi Madame wow 5 min? I love that the half hour V takes I know she will cuddle me and not yell haha but 5 min!! You must have loads of milk lol..sometimes V chokes and splutters too its kind of funny to think she is getting shot in the back of the throat lol.... Hey DH and I checked out your cafe online, we go to Seabrook to see his folks quite regularly and dh reckons we could come to your cafe maybe next time we are in Melbourne..Enjoy the time off you must work so hard but as you say being your own boss must be great too and its noce you are not struggling too..
We went to the paedeatrician yest and he has given us some reflux med as he thinks that is why she is so disagreeable, it takes 2ish weeks to work so well see...Also what the gp said was heat rash the paed thinks is a bit of dermatitis so Ill be just doing Vs clothes in hot water now and I have a little thing of cream for her too...poor thing...She is however thriving on my booby milk! yay she is now 4.6kg and looks so chubby in the face I hope she didnt get me and my mums chin haha I always try to put my chin up in photos lmao.... I just feel like the fog is lifting with us, I honestly have not enjoyed the weeks of horror (first 6 weeks) and will be dreading that with the next Im sorry to say but now Im feeling a lot less panicked...Now I feel like I can finally start enjoying her rather than "just getting through it" kwim?

Hi Madame - great to hear from you! I wish I could have some of your milk too LOL! Sounds like you could just about squirt it all the way to W.A.! :lol: Not sure about work, I technically have to go back as I took the 2 months paid maternity leave, if I don't go back I have to pay back that money. But, in saying that, I can go back and hand in my notice, just have to give 4 weeks notice and I also have 4 weeks holiday's owing so I can use that as my notice if I want. I loved my job and the money for what I was doing was fantastic, it pays to work in the oil and gas industry that's for sure, plus I worked a 9 day fortnight so got every 2nd Friday off, but I found out yesterday that my boss is leaving in November (I'm due back to work on the 18th October - my wedding anniversary!) so it depends who takes over as to whether I'll consider staying. My boss is fantastic and he said he'd get me part-time....although the company is fantastic with returning mums and will accommodate as much as they can. The thing with me is that given I'm 37 this year and we would like a sibling for Amelia I may start trying again at the end of the year (scary thought) so not sure I want to bother with work or whether I will go back and work until I'm pregnant again or have another baby. Not sure, still need to think about it. The idea of hacking into the city and back every day again doesn't excite me too much these days! We shall see, things can change huh and I think it's too early for me to know what I want at the moment. :D
Hi Natty - Fenugreek is a natural herb that is supposed to assist in stimulating the production of breast milk. It comes in tablet form and you get them at the health shop. It also says it's for coughs too ha ha. I've been managing to get Amelia happy with just the boob for the morning feeds at least and just gave her another and she seems happy enough but it's still too early to tell if it's doing much so I'm still topping up with formula for now. It's hot in Perth this week too so she's extra thirsty. In fact, I just gave her a little bit of boiled water in a bottle as I went to visit my swimming friends and their bubs at one of the girls houses today and she didn't have aircon so it was revolting! Amelia was so hot and sweaty and cranky, she wasn't sure what the water was when it first hit her mouth but she drank some, not much but some. Formula does tend to dehydrate them more so I figured it wouldn't hurt. The swimming girls give all their bubs water and they're all breast fed!
Hi Kymmy - howd you go with your visitor? Sounds like Archie is a nice growing lad! Amelia's still in newborn nappies and 0000 clothes! Don't think she will be for much longer though, we shall see.
I went to visit the girls as I said, the house we were at today was not airconditioned and it's 35 in Perth today - it's going to be 42 on Sunday! Anyway it was pretty uncomfy, the girl whos house it was has 10 week old twins, a boy and a girl and a 19 month old girl, she's such a trooper AND she wants another! A real natural, I don't know how she does it, one's enough for me at the moment ha ha. We took another pic of all the bubs like we did last time, only problem was Amelia was bawling so she's going to be the only one who wasn't looking nice and quiet in the pic, typical! Amelia's the youngest out of the group anyway but they keep commenting how little she is, I didn't think she was overly small, I think it's just that she's long and skinny ha ha! She looks big to me!
Tomorrow is mothers group, I will go a little earlier as it's Amelia's 6 week check with the health nurse, got the paed next week. Tomorrow will be revolting as well as it's only a small room and it's also not properly airconditioned, it has one of those little wall aircons that you can only feel if you stand in front of it. We're doing baby massage tomorrow too, great in the heat, mmmmm!

I have been reading but not posting cause everytime I get to the computer I need to go and do something else!
I will try and respond to the questions and comments but dont hold it against me if I forget!!
Kymmy- We will be getting Ruby immunised, the other 2 are done and I cant really think of any other reason not to get her done without doing research etc. When DS was due for his 8 week needles, DD1 was due for her 4yo needles too. I made the silly mistake of getting them done at the same time. I got DD1 done first, she was crying so I told her to sit in the chair next to me so I could cuddle her while DS got his done, well the ***** of a nurse told DD1 to go and sit in another chair (about 6 metres away) becasue she needed to sit down. I was so upset cause she needed me but had to sit away from me and be by herself. I felt like THE meanest person ever and felt like all to other mums were thinking the same thing. DS is now due for his 4yo needles but I will take him to get them done by himself and Ruby on a different day.
Ruby outgrew newborn nappies at 2 weeks too (babylove) haha! Must be something about the 5th December lol!
Billy- I also checked Rubys fontanelle and hers is around the 10cent piece size. I wouldnt worry about it now, it may be that she doesnt need an operation and you will get yourself worried and worked up for nothing xx
Alison- I have heard about the chemical i bottles BHP or something..? I havnt tried to source them as yet but will soon possible - Im thinking about going back to work once a fortnight :o I know, crazy but Im getting itchy feet - as if Im not already busy enough lol! Glad your visit was good although without aircon - yuk!
Arimeh- I had one of those cheap carriers too with DD1 - Snuggli I think - and yeah did really bad dammage for me too. I got my Close Carrier today! LOVE IT!

Mon- That must have scarred the crap out of you! I havnt ever been through anything like that before, lucky you had the support of your family. Im the same as Alison - beliving in ghosts/spirits and also terrified of them!

Telly- Can I love you too :D hehe! I have been getting an attack of the guilts too - big time. DD1 really wants me to do scrapbooking and cooking with her and I keep putting her off, even though these are things I enjoy doing in my own spare time and DS just wants to spend time with me but I keep making excuses with him too. I find I just keep saying go and watch a movie, play with your cars, read a book when really would it be that hard for me to sit down and play cars for a bit or make a few cards with DD1. As for the cooking, I cook dinner every night, why cant she just help me then..... They will both be at school and kinder in a couple of weeks so I have alot of making up to do :redface: I feel like I am always cranky at them too - "shhhhh", "stop thumping around the house", "stop laughing too loud" What the?? Who tells their kids off for laughing?? I just dont want them to resent the baby.....
Looking forward to the Target sale too :dance: not that I really need to buy anything :lol:
Madame- I have been wondering about you too! Glad the business is going well and DH is getting some time off, it will be great. Well done on the 2.5 hr drive, I did 2.5 hours to mums in Ballarat on Sunday and am driving home tomorrow, Its not a bad drive but glad to get out of the car. I didnt have to stop for Ruby on the way up, hopefully I can make it a strait trip home too :pray: There is a Melbourne BB meetup coming up in a few weeks at the Fitzroy Gardens, I was thinking about going with the 3 kids, I would love to meet you if you wanted to make the trip down?
Natty- I feel like I havnt seen you on her for ages! Always catch up on FB though. V is so cute - I love the comments you put on her photos too! Thats too bad that you have found the first 6 weeks difficult, but you might find it different if you have more babies, and I am so happy the bf is going great for you! I love that snuggle time too, its very special. Glad V has found her comfy spot too, I tried Ruby on her tummy and she slept well once, but she much prefers it on her side. I never put her on her back to sleep unless she rolls back herself.

AFM- I got my Close Carrier today and road tested it strait away, it is AWESOME!! Ruby loved it and was asleep the whole time. I find it easy to get her in and out and very comfy and easy going on my back.
I have been at mums with the 3 kids since Sunday and will go home tomorrow. We cam up cause DH went back to work and I was being a sook thinking I couldnt cope on my own - Please, grow up!
Anyway I will fill you all in when I get home, mum has just come in to remind me its 10.15pm better go before she gets the wooden spoon out on me .......

Alison - I bet it felt weird going back into work, I always took my new bubs to see my workmates and it always felt weird, mainly cos I knew how busy everyone was and I hated disturbing them!! haha!! Now it just feels weird because I don't have a job to go back to....:redface:
Madame - haha I didn't realise our kids were so close in age!! Mehkelti was born on the 2nd August 2008, so there is like 6 days between our kids.. haha!!! I'm trying to convince DH of #4 as well, but if I have more nights like I did last night, we're stopping at 3.. LOL
Natty - I haven't used the ergo for a newborn yet, I prefer my close carrier for that - plus I usually have DD1 or DS in the ergo when we go anywhere anyway. I love it for kids around 5 months plus, I don't think there is any other carrier out there that is as comfy - well for me anyway!!! I'm glad you are starting to enjoy her :hug: It is hard to feel that "oh my god, i'm soooo in love with my child" when they are screaming at you for reasons unknown.... and its not like you can threaten them with putting them in their room if they don't be quiet at that age.. bwahahahahaha
Ubba - yes! Moving again. just to a different part of tassie, half an hour from where we are at the moment, so 20mins out of Launceston. It settles tomorrow actually, but we'll wait a week to move cos I've hardly packed anything, and cleaned nothing!! Figured what the hell, considering we have to pay here until February anyway. AFM - I took DD2 to the chiro yesterday, she has a tight spot on her hip and the side of her neck, which is probably the cause of her reflux - so hopefully we should get that sorted out. I think she is having her 6 week growth spurt too - she's quite unsettled at the moment but is being weird with her feeds, I think she might be going for 4 hours between feeds instead of 3 cos sometimes she only has 40ml and then refuses the rest of it.
DD1 is getting her eye teeth at the moment, so she's cranky. DS is cranky cos he's 3 and thats what they do apparently.
Last night was shocking - we started getting the girls down for the night at 7pm - at 9pm DD1 was FINALLY asleep - DS took an hour to get to sleep as well, and DD1 was still up at 9.30!! Finally got her to sleep around 10pm. Told DH that I'm not having another one cos its crap that we always get crappy sleepers!!!! Arggh.. frustrating children. But as a bonus, DS fell asleep on his own which is a first. DIdn't have a choice though, I was with DD2 and DH was with DD1.. so we ran out of parents..... LOL
Hope everyone had a reasonably good night. Have to go, I'm being whinged at!
