Hi Girls...

Madame & everyone else - All DH's must be the same...whinge, whinge, whinge....my mum tries to help me out and dust and mop etc but it's pretty hard with the 2 of them so when we go the beach for a few days in Feb she has offered to put in to get a cleaner in for about 4 hours to go over everything and DH doesnt want to do it - reckons he will do it!!! And pigs will fly too I guess!! He does NOTHING!!! He doesnt really whinge to me about it but wont accept any help and then wont help me either!! Cant win....

Kimmy - Poor Archie....he must be coping alright though cause he seems like such a good little boy...I'm sure he'll be fine - he's tough!

Natty - That's funny about DH and DTD!!! Dont they get it?? I love it when DH stays up playing the Xbox some nights or if JD comes straight in with us cause then I know I'll have the night off and wont be harassed!! The whole things horrid at the moment - my boobs leak everywhere, I have a disgusting wobbly jelly belly covered in stretch marks - so unappealing, but doesnt seem to put him off!!

Alison - Glad Amelia is doing so well with the sleeping!! What a good girl!! I know what you mean about the pram - we got a Swallow Beema Q pram for about $600 and it's good but I ended up getting a smaller cheap stroller thing for $100 from Target and use that around the shops etc as it's so much smaller to keep in the boot of the car...the big one takes up the whole thing....the Beema is lovely and smooth with great tyres so we just keep that for walks around the neighbourhood and on the bumpy grass with it's great suspension....we also bought bassinet insert part when JD was born as it was winter and that was a pain and being summer with Abbey this time around we havent used it at all so that was a waste!! You certainly learn after a while that you dont need to spend the big bucks for most things!

AFM - Took JD to see Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D today as he is obsessed with it...he did pretty well in the first movie but was getting restless towards the end so we went out between movies and he did his block in the arcade thingy that they have at the front cause he didnt want to leave there so we left and went to a fair they were having and he had a pony ride and got his face painted so that was nice....stinking hot though - wish that would end soon!

My mum watched Abbey...we were gone from about 8am til 2pm so I thought my boobs were going to explode by the time I got back to her...will have to give her some frequent feeds to keep my supply up I guess after having that break. She has been going about 6 hours of a night which is good for her. Usually wakes between 2 & 3 for a feed then goes back down til about 7am...she was feeding last night and I looked down at her and she's grinning back at me and cooing and carrying on and all I could think was SHUT YOUR EYES & GO BACK TO SLEEP!!! I was pooped and just wanted to snooze!! Thankfully she did....

madame husband can be a pain i think i am lucky in that regard jose does alot of stuff to help like dishes during the week cooks on weekend puts the clothes away for me and he mops though hes done dinner a few times this week so i will do dishes

well ive been having a horrible 2 nights hunter wont go to bed and we were trying to have a no closed door policy after the fire but i took his cot out :'( so hes now in the bottom of the bunk nd mally at the top and im going to shut the door until hes asleep cos he was up til 12ish last night then 2 hrs during the night the night before, and we ran out of formula and after jose losing his wallet and our food/bill money couldnt buy more so she wakes a couple times cos its been all booby and then by the morning i end up with 4 kids in the bed with me lol

i did coles online shopping today so my food should be getting dropped tomorrow arvo just gotta goo to a few places to get formula, bread and wipes cos i know where theyre alot cheaper so we will see how that goes

been getting an achy back quite alot lately the lower back very sucky

V has changed everything on me at the moment however one nice surprise is she seems to have "discovered" her playgym and happily bats away at the dangly bits now. She is getting harder to put to sleep and is changing her routine on me which is killing me as far as sleep goes. I just have to figure out why she screams every evening now lol..Im really looking fwd to getting my copy of "the wonder weeks" maybe it will have some info that will be useful too.

Hi Girls - Amelia had her 8 week needles this morning, I was dreading them but she was very brave. She was asleep so I had to wake her and she started to scream so I rubbed her forehead (she loves it) and went straight back to sleep! She seems ok so far, is sleeping now but I was supposed to meet my mothers group girls but think I'll stay home. The nurse said you should keep them away from others for 24 hours in case they pick up something. Did anyone's bubs get any specific symptoms after theirs?

Hi Natty - the up and down sleeping thing is annoying huh, Amelia's doing 6-7 hours now but it chops and changes each week! God knows what will happen tonight after her needles. Where'd you get that book from, I want to buy a copy myself? :p

Alison: I had the Cruiser on layby too but ended up going for the Bebe Care Baby Ace which is a copy of the Bugaboo Chameleon but heaps cheaper! The one i got seemed heaps better quality than the Cruiser and had better features. It was $800 but i managed to get it on sale at Toys R Us for $399!!! I have seen it in the catalogue since for the cheap price. Google it if you wanna have a look. I love my pram.. it is a little bit bulky in the boot but we have a 4wd so it doesn't matter. It has the bassinet attatchment too and Archie absolutely LOVES it. He actually cries now to be put IN his pram !!

Ooh thanks Kymmy, I do like the look of that one, might have to see if Toys R Us want to give me a good deal too LOL - I feel silly after spending $400 on my other pram but I just don't like it so would have to try and sell it if I buy another! Is it easy to put up and down? We have a 4WD too so bulky doesn't really matter as we have a big boot, is it heavy, don't suppose you know it's weight?

I don't think you are silly! I did the same with DD! You could always sell your current one.. that's what i did.
As for my pram, It is very easy to put up and down.. you just have to make sure the seat is facing forward (you can switch the seat to rear or forward facing, or just switch the handle) or in bassinette mode you actually unclip the bassinet then put the frame down. The bassinette is really handy if you are going away or if you want to use it at home without the pram base. I think it weighs about 12kg but can't really remember.... It is definately fine for me to lift and i'm quite small x x

Forgot to ask if anyone uses cloths??? Thiking about using them for daytime, at home only...

Going to go snatch some sleep before the angel wakes up again, now she is back to her usual timings she just wants to keep me on my toes methinks...

Kymmy - No cloth nappies here either although before Trent was born my mum was very pushy about using them but she hasnt said anything since, lol Like Nat, my little man is a pooing MACHINE! He did this massive one yesterday while at mothersgroup and it was EVERYWHERE!!! In his capsule and all in his overalls. Why does he do that when Im out?!?!? :doh:

Telly - Well done on the loss :dance: Wish I could motivate to loose weight!

Alison - good luck with your pram shopping! Luckily I bought mine second hand off ebay for $80 and its great :dance: I do find it a bit heavy at times but Im getting used to it.

JD's mum - dont you just LOVE when they just smile at you in the middle of the night like that, hehe Im the same thinking, go to sleep cheeky!!! Sounds like you had a fun day with JD, Toy story in 3D sounds great :D

AFM - well where do I start! Have been trying this week to wake Trent at around 11pm to feed him in hope that he will do his 6/7 hr sleep after that but it hasnt worked! He slept 4 hrs the first night, 5 hrs the next and last night he woke after 3 hrs and I was like, "its too early" so stuck the dummy in his mouth and he eventually settled and woke 2 hrs later. But thats still only 5 hrs when he was doing longer if I demand fed him. Not sure what to do. Have been told to try to get him into a routine at night since he is now nearly 3 mths old but someone else said that he is very young still and to let him do what he wants cause at this age he is still too young to go a whole night without drinking. Just dont know what to do :wall:

Also, my DP has recently made contact with his 16 yr old daughter which he didnt know about until he was asked to do a DNA test last year and then pay child support for! We had to pay a solicitor $1000 to find her details as child support wouldnt give us any and finally he got a phone number for her and has spoken to her twice this week. She is keen to meet him too which is nice but also scary for him as you can imagine!

Plus, my DP is having major foot reconstruction surgery on 11 Feb in which he will be off work for anywhere between 6 - 8 weeks and cant walk on it for the 1st 2 weeks so Im going to have TWO babies to look after, lol Not really looking forward to that as he wont be able to help me at all with Trent other than feeding him basically.

Then my poor nephew whom Ive had staying here on and off during the school holidays, we've been concerned with his welfare and I finally made the decision last week to call a division of child services to talk to them about him. His mother has bi-polar and is in and out of hospital off and on. He is my brothers son. My brother passed away when my nephew was 2 (he's now 11) I have my nephew here until Sunday which is the day before he starts school. NOTHING has been organised for his return, apparently he needs a new uniform and when I asked his grandfather about it (they live with and he takes care of them when his daughter goes into hospital), he said to me, "he'll be right" :wall: I was so angry. Fancy sending him to school not organised. I called the mum and asked her if she wanted me to organise things and she said yeah that would be great. This kind of thing has been going on for AGES. Its hard for my family cause we are scared if we rock the boat with her, she may turn around and say we cant see him. However, enough is enough so I reported them. He told me the other day that he ate a lettuce sandwich for lunch and I was like WTF???? The house they live in should be CONDEMND as it is falling apart and has junk everywhere. Its that bad that his bedroom which he shares with his 16 year old brother, has plaster missing on the walls and there is cardboard taped to them to cover them up. The grandfather has like 6 wrecked cars in the driveway all filled with JUNK. Honestly this house belongs in a story on Today/Tonight :wall: He basically looks after himself, makes his own lunch for school, wakes himself up. Its just not right. They havent had a washing machine for MONTHS and when he comes to stay with us, his clothes stink and are filthy. He even comes to us with worn shoes with big holes in them too.

Sorry to rant and go on girls, it just gets me angry and upset when I think about it. And with all the other stuff going on, on top of that with my DP, its all getting to me. But not much I can do.

Geez Telly that is freaking fantastic well done girl!!!!!! I'd love to lose 4.4 kgs, my belly is definitely going down now but I have only lost 1 kg in the last week, grrrrrrr. WW definitely works huh, I should try and do it again, I have all the knowledge, I just need to stick to it. It's the weighs that keep you going huh. Well done mate you sexy thing LOL.

AFM - well after Amelia's needles yesterday she slept all day only to wake for a short feed. I thought I was going to be in for an unsettled night because of it but she slept from 9.30 pm to 4.30 am. She did muck around with her feed at that point and wasn't as interested as normal and even threw up a little bit which she never does so was obviously feeling a bit off poor munchkin. She went back to sleep after an hour and has slept for another 3.5 hours and has just fed again and seems her usual self so far today. That sucked yesterday, I hate seeing them a bit off, horrible! In fact, she's sitting in her rocker and just chatting to herself, well, kind of ha ha.

I have my last mothers group meeting at the clinic today so we have to take a plate for lunch. I offered to do a fruit platter as I'm trying to be healthy and as I can't eat wheat I figured everyone else would bring things I couldn't eat anyway but I haven't even bought all the fruit yet so have to lug Amelia out to the shops now. I do miss just popping to the shop easily I must admit!

Hi MissMagpie - we must have been posting at the same time, lovely to hear from you. OMG re your nephew, you most definitely did the right thing, poor boy he can't live like that. There would be lots of foster carers who could give him a better chance at life, I have friends who do foster caring and they see things like that all the time, it's just so sad. Keep us posted with what happens. Now I have a child I just can't fathom having my child living in squallor so to speak, not that she can help it I know but you know what I mean. Lucky he has you. :pray: As for Trent, is he going through a growth spurt as that's what Amelia did the other week after sleeping 6 hours she went back to 3. She's back to 6/7 again now thank goodness, I don't demand feed though, never have really, I do parent led feeding which put her into a routine from the beginning, doesn't work for everyone but it did for us.....well so far so good. Keep at it, he will get there. I find Amelia only cat naps during the day now so I get nothing done, can't win!

yay on the weight lose and guess what ive found it lol i swear ive gained 5 kg after xmas and now struggle with the sz 12 jeans i wannna cry hading back at night to the gym wen school starts .

Alison serenity just went through a patch like that but shes back to 7hrs a night to we went to like 4-5 times a night grrrr

im hot and tired and fat lol and have a massive pile of dishes :( trying to work up the energy serenity is awake heaps durin the day so it gets tricky do do anything

Hi Mon - you are not fat silly! If it's any consolation I feel fat too and have 7 kgs to lose, can't wear any of my skirts and they're mostly size 12's, just can't get the zip all the way up thanks to this flabby guts!!! Grrrrrrr.

yeah if it wasnt for my gut id be great i was like 75.5 kg the other day thats almost how much i was at the end of the pg:shakehead:

I still have 7kgs to lose too! Can fit into my bigger jeans but have to use a lacky band in the button hole to do them up! haha!!

Hi Kymmy - what is it with the 7kgs thing, seems like the magic (or crappy) number! I haven't even attempted to wear any jeans let alone bigger ones, too depressing. I've been wearing my maternity skirts or babydoll dresses only, this gut is hideous, not to mention my thighs, they are carrying a few extra kgs themselves! Gosh having a baby takes its toll on your body, I thought I looked good while pregnant, I must have been blinded by excitement ha ha!

Oh and I went to Toys R Us today, they didn't have any of the Bebe prams like yours at all. Baby on a Budget want $600+ for the Steelcraft Strider. I think I'll have to stick to the one I have, unless I can win the one on Ebay but it's the only one in Perth and someone's already bidding, grrrr.

I have been MIA cause I broke the charger to my laptop and of course it wenr flat. My sister has lent me her charger for a few days so I am back!

I have just finished reading through the last 3 pages of posts, alot to read......

Ruby has still been hard to keep asleep at night, I have been feeding her anywhere from 10.30pm-12am hoping she will stay asleep all night but she still wakes after 3 hours. I have just been sticking her dummy in until about 5.30am but it is just as draining getting up to do that. If I get her up and feed her during the night, then she wakes up fully - I have watched the American morning shows for the last couple of mornings.... She is quite happy sitting in her bouncer watching the tv so I can grab 40 winks on the couch, but Id rather be in bed. Other than her sleeping issues everything is going well. At her last weigh (last week) she weighted 5.3kg so she's deffinately not deprived in the food department lol.

I took DS to get his 4yo needles last night, poor thing cried but he was so brave. He was instantly fine when I said we would get an ice cream from maccas on the way home, boys and food ;) Ruby is getting hers next Friday.

I am taking DD to pick up her school books today so I will be busy covering them with contact paper today - oh the joys! Wouldnt mind a sleep at some stage today but I dont think that will happen. I have to hang around for our rental inspection at 11 then take DS to his speech appointment at 2.30pm. We'll see, I might have a snooze on the couch now while both my girls are in bed, DS is up but he's happy watching tv.

Hi Ubba, Good to hear from you. Lol on ice cream fixing everything Im glad your ds is so easily convinced lol. You know what I thought it was wierd that V has her last feed before 11 but the good thing about it is that she usually (and I say that very loosely) makes it till dawn to wake up. She did it all herself though so I have no tips to help. I kind of credit the cosleeping we did at the beginning as I think that it got us in sync a bit. Good luck I hope Ruby gives you some long night time sleeps soon.

Alison, I dont have thighs I have tree trunks lol..Im too scared to try my pre preg pants on because I nkow hey wont fit. My belly is great though, like I was never preggo, its just that I put weight on my arse and thighs, not my tum. Heheee I cant even get my pants on let alone get them done up :rofl: My arms are gross too! looks like I have two big hams on my shoulders..oh..so sad...

MissMagpie, I think you are doing the right thing too, what a sad thing for you to witness your nephew being in a less than ideal situation...He s lucky you are there to not let it go too far.

Madame, how are you? I dont think our dhs, no matter what degree of helpfulness they exhibit, will ever understand what it is like to be someones ENTIRE WORLD...Maybe its because they are the centre of their entire world (or maybe their penis is lol) and they can take a break from the situation and we cant and lets be honest that is what being good mums includes dammit lol...Im sure if he had a bit more compassion it would make the feelings a bit less desperate as all we want is someone to acknowledge we are doing it hard and deserve some kudos...well KUDOS to you my dear! :hug:

AFM: Well V is getting a bit better, she is getting used to pooing I think because last night she fell asleep in my arms about 830 and I put her to bed at 930 because I really didnt think she was out for the night but she slept till 4am! wow! I wasnt sure what to do because usually we do battle every night and I am buggered by the end of it..This was too easy and I hope it continues..

I have a question re bf...I usually give V some boobie when she wakes up to comfort her or take the edge off her hunger then I change her and let her play a bit. If she becomes a bit sooky or tired Ill put her on again after her play and she will eat and then fall asleep. My question is...Is this ok? Am I creating bad habits? I dont think ff babies would do this do they? actually when to ff babies eat? at the beginning or end of the awake period?

So really I am comforting V with the boobie on waking, offering it to her if she is sooky and nothing else is a problem...(nappy wind etc) and feed to sleep. It is working for us right now but it excludes dh from a lot as he doesnt posess boobies. V is also a bit wary of the bottle as we have had no need to use it since we dropped the comp feeds on week 2..I also wonder how she will go later on as I want to introduce her (not yet) to 1 day of daycare at about 6 months so she is not scared when I go back to work full time at 12 months. Any suggestions?

Um V just rolled over in bed and woke herself up! new problem lol....

I feed serenity when she first wakes up and then a quick top up before i put her down, i try not to let her fall asleep on the boob though...i think one day a week would be good at that age hunter was in 3-4 days at 7 months cos i went to tafe for 6 months he didnt like it when he was a little older cos he finally figured out i was leaving for a while but its just a phase they go through then theyre happy again cos they know ur coming back.

ended up with 3 kids in my bed, in the middle of the night i heard a tinking noise and hunter was up playing then at 2am when i was feeding serenity cos she went to slepp at 6:30 i heard something in the bathroom and he was flooding the sink and playing with tampons sitting on the counter...lil punk

Natty: You're too scared to try on your pre preg pants, i'm too scared to try on my engagement ring! Don't want to have to cut that off too!
With the feeding, we have absolutely NO routine, but it works for us. We both get lots of sleep at night cos he starts off in the bassinette then when he wakes up we co-sleep. I think he feeds about 3 times during the night but i fall straight back to sleep so i don't really notice!
Can you try giving V a bit of boiled water in a bottle to get her used to the bottle? I give Archie water when we go out in the car and it's hot just for a very quick drink and he loves it.

Hi Natty & Kymmy - I hear you all! I can't fit my pants or wedding rings!!!!!!!!!!!! Kymmy, I got my rings on last night first time since week 34 of pregnancy but they were too tight so had to wrench them off again. How on earth do your friggin fingers get fat too!!!!! grrrrr.

I'm off to my first mums and bubs swimming class today, god knows I need it. I'm too scared to get into bathers for fear of making people sick so I'm donning the boardshorts and singlet top to cover up all the horrid body parts! Amelia's been sleeping 6/7 hours at night but last night she woke after 4.5, bummer! She did however finally do a big poo for daddy this morning before he went to work, she'd gone nearly 3 days! Oh and Natty, I do the same as Mon, BF when she wakes, top up with formula and then during the day she'll have awake time after that (sometimes she hardly sleeps in between) but at night straight back to sleep (usually any feeds after 6.00 pm).

Natty - I'm going to try and take control the Abster as she is doing my head in with her non sleeping and being attached to my boobies all damn day and just snoozing there on and off and then when I put her down she only lasts about 20 mins....I cant cope anymore with the amount of sleep I'm getting and also being on the lounge 24/7 is doing my head in and JD's....I just cant cave like I did with him after about the 3rd night...I've got to be strong.

Today I have wrapped her both times when I put her in to sleep and also put her in her cot in her room instead of the bassinet...I think she is getting too big for that now anyways. The first time this morning she only slept from 9:20 - 10:15 but that was better than usual then this time mum rocked her to sleep at 1:45 and it's now 3:40 so I have to try and keep this up. I need to stay home for her sleep times instead of being out and about and try and get her in some routine.

I always seem to be feeding her...it's the easiest solution to stop her whinging so I just do it...got to stop that too as she mostly falls asleep and just cat naps. I'm one of those mothers who cant stand to hear them cry so run to them straight away...have to stop that too! I seem to do alot of things wrong...

Alison - hope you enjoy your swim class today...sure Amelia will love it if she enjoyed the pool the other day. I only go swimming in my dad's pool as I wouldnt want to frighten other people off if the saw me in my boardies and top...pretty damn gross! I have the worst stretch marks and saggy belly is like an apron (sorry TMI!) so combine that with the thunder thighs and tuck shop lady arms it's not pretty!! DH has joined the gym today and I'm going this afternoon to sign up - it's 24 hours a day so I'm going to go in the morning before the kids are up and he can go at night when they are down. If I dont go first thing and get it over with then it will never happen....

Kymmy - I give Abbey boiled water too and she sucks it down most of the time...must be nice and refreshing for them hey!

AFM - Went and did our weekly weigh in yesterday and Ab is now 5.4kgs. She put on 200gms this last week so that's pretty good as the week before it was only 100gm. She is rolling over onto her side a fair bit when she is on the floor and doesnt stop talking - we have little conversations...I ask her something and she coo's away and carries on like she's responding to me - very cute!! She's also putting her hands together and putting them up in front of her face alot...like she wants to double punch me or something!

I actually got my engagement ring resized yesterday - how bad is that!!! My wedding ring fits OK as I had put on a little weight since I had JD and we got engaged but I was thin when DH proposed to me so I hadnt worn it for ages....I got it on when I got home from hospital but I started to panic after a couple of weeks that I wouldnt be able to get it off and my finger would rot from no blood circulation so I got into a mad state and finally got it off - hurt like hell though!! Anyway, $60 later and it fits lovely now and it's so nice to have it on...definitely too many $$$$ spent on it not to be worn!

Anyway, sorry for the selfish post...hope everyone is doing well!

Both kids are asleep, but i'm finding myself drawn to the computer rather than the bed, LOL! Addicted much?

Natty we don't really have any routine at all either. If theo is unsettled i'll put him on the boob. Quite simple. He loves it, and i really don't mind! I couldn't even tell you how many feed he has during the day, its just so automated. You're cranky. Do you have a dirty bum? nope. Do you just want a cuddle? nope. Do you want boobie? yep. haha. its so easy! I was talking to a mW today, and she told me that was great. especially in the heat. She told me they don't need water at all, you just need to give them boobie when they want. NO dummy (she emphasised that), No bottle with water (i know some of you guys do this, just saying what she told me, lol) , boobie is all he needs. And if he just wants to have a quick slurp than thats fine - don't deprive him. We're also like Kymmy. Theo goes to bed in his cot, when he wakes during the night i put him in bed with me (although i must say his time in our bed is getting shorted and shorter - as he is sleeping longer). He could feed 4/5/6/7/8/ times! lol! I really have no idea, cause once he's on, i'm back snoozing! ;) HTH
THeo rolled over the other day too. I wasn't impressed! lol. Told him no more rolling, he's only a newborn! hahahaha - i wish! THey're going to grow whether we like it or not aren't they :(

JDs mum i'm in the tuckshop arm category too! eeewww, aren't they ugly! Can't wait to rid them! Got my hand weights and my 'intention' is to use them while watching TV. Mind you, they're still sitting in the bottom on the linen cupboard, hahaha, all in time my dear! hehe. Good luck with the gym! Getting up in the morning sounds brave - i love my bed and couldn't think of leaving it when i don't have to. You've got heaps more motivation than i, can you throw some my way pleasE?

Kymmy and Alison i can't believe either of you have 7kgs to lose! You are both looking INCREDIBLE! Every time i see photos of you on FB the green eyed monster appears! haha.

AFM - I had my 'six' week check up today with my favourite MW Ruth, Ruth is an elder midwife. Perhaps in her 60's. (now just imagine what she looks like.. so innocent and like a nice warm grandma, who makes you a hot chocolate and cookies when its raining). ..

She talked about forms of contraception, and i told her TBH we don't really have sex often enough to warrant the need for anything other than condoms - hahaha, had a laugh afterwards signaling the end of the conversation. ! Well apparently that wasn't enough, and was a bad idea to say such a thing! She then gave me a big talking to about how important sex is in a healthy relationship :o How there a many more things other than intercorse that we could be doing, oral sex, using hands... Men have a lot of testosterone and enjoy sexual pleasures. Have we tried the other things? What have we tried? specifics? How often do we have sexual relations? Maybe you could get baby sitter for the night and enjoy an erotic night together... etc etc

!!!!!! WTF!?! bahahahahahah!! It was soooooo awkward. :redface: The conversation couldn't end quick enough i swear! hahaha, i feel so dirty!!! hahahaha

Never had any troubles with my rings here either! Probably cause DH and i aren't actually married! lol! I just say DH cause i think it sounds funny saying DP. LIke i'm gay or something! haha - not that there's anything wrong with that. We've been together for 8 years, own/mortgage a home together, have two kids - hell i think that qualifies me to refer to him as my 'husband'. I really don't know if we'll ever actually tie the knot. He asked me about a year ago and i said no. hahaha. So he said he's never asking again :rolleyes: (I said no because i'm sick of people 'expecting' us to get married.. i'll do it when you stop asking!)

Also very exciting. DH and i have been having a competition on who can get Theo to laugh first. And last night he was sooooo close!!!! :) I was playing a bit of peek-a-boo. And he let out a 'ahhhhahaaa', but didn't continue the 'hahaha' noise. I called chris into the room, and he did it a couple of times, but he's claiming it doesn't count, and its not a 'full' laugh just yet. (IE. he wants to win the competition :rolleyes: ) But anyway, it was very very sweet, melted my heart. Even typing this i have a BIG smile on my face, hehe. :p

Argh BillyKat- MIL vent - MIL is telling people that she DESIGNED my kitchen!!! AHHH?!!! I really don't like that woman! that's all

Hi Telly - oh no are you ok? I'm really sorry to hear about your grandad, keep us posted. :pray: As for the sex talk from your midwife, WTF!!!!! You made me laugh though. Thanks for the lovely comments on how I look in my pics, the pics must be deceiving, seriously, I'm revolting, if I didn't think it would make you violently ill I'd take a naked pic to prove it! I'm just wearing sleeves to hide the tuckshop arms (I HATE my arms), babydoll dresses to hide the guts and legs and bum. :o As for the water, they do say it's no necessary for purely BF'd babies but it's water and won't hurt them at all, especially on hot days! Gotta run, Miss Millie is hungry.....what's new!

Oh and I REALLLLLY want a new pram, I've decided mine is fine really I'm just being silly and want something funkier......I really want the Steelcraft Strider Plus but it's so expensive. I wish I'd thought better for the future when I bought mine, shouldn't have bought it so early on!

Ok so the past 2 nights have been freaky...V has gone to sleep without screaming for 3 hours minimum prior...I cant believe it...Last night she fell asleep in my arms at 9 I put her down but she woke so up again but back sleeping in my arms at 10 and in her cot at 11...Woke up at 7!!!! WTF????? She only woke coz I moved her arm from between the cot bars as she gets stuck lol..Happy smiles and some poos since and then she grizzled a tiny bit, I picked her up and back to sleep with no boobie! :o

Sorry for the me post, just happy (for a nice change)...Last night I started crying I told dh I am so grateful as I felt I couldnt enjoy her before as I was terrified of her crying but now things are changing...touch wood lol.. Thanks for listening.

Amelia slept 8 hours too although the one night I chose to stay up till after 11.00 pm so I didn't get 8 hours myself LOL - I'm really happy though, hope this is the beginning of longer nights although I really can't complain, Amelia sleeps on average 6 hours anyway at the moment and she's a good baby really. :p Of course as soon as you say these things it turns to s**t so I could be saying something different tomorrow! I think the mums and bubs swimming class yesterday tired her out. It was really good, we did half an hour with the bubs in the water and she loves the water....they sang nursery rhymes etc (have to brush up on those!) and then you put them in their prams and we got back in and did some proper exercise, she just slept the rest of the time! The only bummer is that you can't book ahead and the next 2 weeks are full so I can't get in again for 3 weeks, ridiculous!

Am off visiting a friend today, she's been travelling so hasn't seen Amelia since hospital when she was 2 days old! DH was down at our holiday house finishing off more stuff last night so I had my first night alone with Amelia (other than in the hospital). Look forward to him coming home today.
