Natty that's so funny I'm 25 this year I feel about 35 though
HAHA Natty! That's really funny - even funnier because you admitted it lol!
I handed in another assessment HOORAY!! I know I am sleep deprived but if I dont do this course I reckon I will be so resentful, so I am making sure I do it.
I dont know if its something that I have eaten, but Ruby's farts are really off. She just did a massive one and I could already smell it, so I said to DS "Can you smell Ruby to see if she has a poo?" So he has a smell and started crying yelling "I dont love you or like you anymore!" HA! I so know he does, I just like tormenting my kids every now and then - is that wrong :o
I saw someones photo on FB (cant remember who it was) and their bubba was in a bumbo seat. Anyway I thought Id have a squiz on ebay and bought one for $35!! Bargain! and its purple too - my favorite colour.
Ruby is getting so mobile, I put her on the floor and she does 360o turns! Gave me a fright the first time I saw her. Shes on the floor now and has a hold of her toes, so cute.
I took her to get photos done today and she cracked it, so I said I would come back over the weekend. I know why she cracked it though, I was filling out their paperwork and the lady just started undressing her to get her dressed into their costume. Ruby couldnt see me so she got a fright poor little munchkin.
Well, what an all over the place post this is - love you all xxx
So the other day I found out my gramps has prostate cancer and it's spread to his bones then tonight I found out my grandad is in hospital cos he had another stroke it's like his 3/4 blinken old ppl :(
Hi Ubba - lol poor DS, nah it's not cruel, it's fun! ;) Yay for the Bumbo seat, I got a purple one for Amelia from Ebay a couple of weeks ago too, I paid $50 though so you did super well! They're $80 brand new, I also got a tray for it but that was brand new at the baby store and that was $17.00. Amelia can't sit in it on her own yet, can't wait till she can though! Can Ruby? Good on you for doing the assessments etc., that's a great achievement if you get that finished. I take my hat off to you.
Hi Mon - poor grandparents.......what is it with our old folks and illness/oldness this week!!! Oldness, lol is that even a word!!!
I know I've always been super close with my grandad and grandma I lived with them when I was 3 for a few months while my mum went travelling spent a week at there house every school holidays even lived with them a couple times while I was a teenager, the problem is I still think of him as the person I knew 15 years ago so I don't really comprehend the fact ppl get old, in Monika land I know my life is going on my I still think of ppl in the same way I first met them like they don't age just me, they're like parents to me so I'm not looking forward to when they pass and I'm already sad cos he's basically blind so never got to see hunter and serenity and niesha was his favourite and he can't see her face anymore which I know devastates him that he's missing out on them
Happy birthday natty!!!!!!!!!
Awww Mon that's so sweet, it's sad when they get old isn't it. I feel the same about my nan, she wasn't at my wedding and now doesn't really understand who Amelia is, sad isn't it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATTY!! Hope you have a fab day! Oh and how old again? ;):happybirthday: xx
Happy bday natty
Happy Birthday Natty!
Mon: Sorry about your grandparents xx
Ubba: Yay you!! I just bought Archie a bumbo too! We got ours brand new cos i have been searching on ebay for ages and couldn't seem to find one in a boys colour in decent condition and i wanted one NOW!! Archie loves it! Ruby and Archie sound the same with moving about the place!
Well, i've been keeping track of Archie's movements the last few days to see what kind of 'routine' (hahahaha) he is in....
This was yesterday..
6.30am- feed and back to sleep
7.30am- wake
9.00am- feed
9.30am- sleep
10.05am- wake
10.15am- feed
11.25am- feed
12.00pm- sleep
2.50pm- wake, feed, back to sleep
3.20pm- wake
4.30pm- feed
6.00pm- sleep
6.30pm- wake, feed
8.30pm- feed, sleep
9.30pm- wake, bath (late cos we went out for dinner)
9.45pm- feed
10.30pm- feed to sleep
So as you can see, we are in a great routine!!! hahahaha!! I think he has been feeding so often cos my milk supply went down a little bit when i was sick and it is still building back up! But i had him weighed the other day (13w 3d) and he is 6.7kg and 67cm long so i don't think we have to worry about him losing any weight! hahaha
Anyway, gotta go bid on a pram on ebay.... another one. haha
xxxxxx
Hey Kymmy - is Archie sleeping through the night now? :p Yay for the bumbo, there seems to be a lot of the purple ones so I'm not surprised you couldn't find a boy colour, did you get blue? I lucked out with mine on Ebay, the girl lived around the corner and it's in brand new condition, she even had the pamphlet that came with it still! Oooh and what pram are you bidding on, how exciting! I'm not the only one with a billion prams lol. Wow he is so long isn't he, hee hee - Amelia is long for a girl but nowhere near that long. At the shops today a lady couldn't believe she was 14.5 weeks, her grandson she said was 16 weeks and twice the size of her.........I think it's funny too cause everyone blames formula for making them fat but not in our case - her grandson was formula fed though lol.
We had a great night from Amelia, 10 hours straight and she woke up around 8.15 am just making noises, I went in and she was chatting away and smiling. So cute. I went in there once at 5.00 am as she was in her usual jammed up against the edge position but she didn't really wake up so that was good. I tried her bumbo today, she's still got a slight lean but I reckon another week and she'll be right. Is it normal that she can't sit up completely straight unassisted yet?
Hey Alison,
No Archie is not sleeping through! He still wakes 3-4 times, i just didn't keep track during the night! I got a blue bumbo and i bought a Peg Perego Pliko (I just WON it!! My first eBay win! WOOHOO) i wanted a 'stroller' type pram to keep in the car. I'm soo excited! My hubby just bought a motorbike today so i don't feel bad for buying myself a new 'toy'! hahaha!
Archie is still a little bit 'bobble' headed occasionally in the bumbo but he is very strong and loves to be upright.. so i am sure Amelia is fine... what is 'normal' anyway?! Do you carry her upright mostly or baby-like IYKWIM??
x
Hi Kymmy - oh bummer I got excited for you there lol. I like how you discount the evenings, they're over rated anyway ;) I was just thinking today how much of a blur a lot of the first 12 weeks has been lol. Must be sleep deprivation. Amelia seems to be in a day/night routine now but who knows, every day is different to some degree! :p Oh goodie you got that pram, isn't it fun winning on Ebay, addictive, but fun! I just bought (on a buy it now) a playmat, non toxic and waterproof, they have them in the babystores for $200 and I paid $49.00. I first saw it at one of my swimming friend's house and loved it - hers is a little bigger but it's even the same brand, Bubbamats. If anyone is interested I'll FB you the link to the seller in Victoria, they have more! I do carry Amelia upright mostly, she can hold her head up no problems, it's just if I sit her up she slightly leans to the side lol - I'm hoping another week or two and she'll be there. I only cradle her like a baby when she's tired and ready for a sleep - she likes to nuzzle in and be on her side so it's easy to tell when it's sleepy time lol.
Hey girls….
Kymmy – Congratulations on your Ebay win – exciting to get something you really want isn’t it??!! Abbey is still a bit bobble headed but she spends most of her time upright so she’s pretty good really….when we carry her she likes to be facing out so she can see what’s going on and now when we put her over our shoulders she turns herself round…nearly sort of sitting on your hip…I love it when they get to that stage…so much easier to get around when you can just pop them on your hip! She also loves standing up so she does a lot of that too….little chubby strong legs! You’re very good keeping track of that routine…Abbey is in nothing of a routine and I don’t think I’ll be able to get her into one until she’s about 6 months and more predictable maybe…plus I’m trying to get back onto the boob more so she’s feeding more often too….Hope your dad is going OK too.
Mon – I hope your grandpa is OK….old age is the most horrible thing sometimes….
Ubba – Congrats on your studies – you are doing so well!!! I wish I was committed to something like that….I’m a complete quitter….you’re going great guns!! Keep it up! I hope Ruby behaves / d for her photo session and you get some great pics!
Natty – HAPPY B’DAY!!!:happybirthday: Hope you had a great day and were spoilt rotten!!! I’m sure V would have been the perfect angel seeing as it is a special day! Did you get to have your BBQ in the park??
Alison – I know what you mean about little things exciting you!! I feel completely left out sometimes with my single friends – I feel like I have nothing to talk to them about except baby things and they aren’t interested in that….I envy them sometimes but then I’m so glad to have DH and the crew to come home to at the end of the night….the grass is always greener but it never really is hey! Abbey has been in crawler nappies for months now….how stupid am I – I didn’t realize there were even any Junior size nappies cause they didn’t come in the boxes so I put her straight into crawler after the newborn size…haven’t had any massive problems with them, sometimes she leaks number 1’s through but never number 2’s….I have complete baby brain at the moment!
Telly – Ha ha about the BSB’s!!! Yeah Kev was def the odd one out – he’s not even in the band anymore so just 4 of the old fella’s now…it was hilarious – they have a song called PDA – how bad is that!!! Hope your routine is still going to plan!!
AFM – Abbey still not that happy on the boob but I’m persevering….she’s gotten lazy I think and cause she has to suck a couple of times on me to the milk flowing she loses it before it comes….I’ll keep with it though…so much easier.
God I’m stupid – I opened up a tin of formula last night and thought oh the spoons pink instead of gold….then looked at the tin and I had bought god damn follow on from 6 months formula….how many other things can I stuff up at the moment??? I’m forgetful, clumsy and constantly doing the wrong thing!!! Lucky I had some reserves of the birth formula to get us though if she needs a bottle but geez when’s it going to end???
Hope everyone is having an exciting Sat night like me – Go the Roosters tomorrow!!
xoxox
Hi Shayna - great to hear from you. I'm so glad Amelia isn't the only slightly bobble headed baby in the group ha ha. Like you she likes to look around, was just saying to DH today that it's so funny when she turns her head to look at things it's like robotic, it's cute. Amelia is wanting my boob less and less too, the only feed I've been giving her is looking less likely, a couple of times this week she has cracked it and only wanted the bottle - not sure if it's because I've had my period, I have heard that it can make your milk taste funny. Will persevere though as every little bit counts. And don't worry, I have THE worst baby brain, I forget everything, buy the wrong everything - I miss appointments, forget what I was saying halfway through conversations, you name it lol! It's frustrating isn't it! Bummer about the nappies ha ha - although the crawlers are better value anyway as the infants only come in small packs and are expensive. The crawlers are quite big on Amelia still so am using them at night for her wees and will finish off the pack of infants during the day, both hold the poo the same, her poo's are mostly formula ones so are more contained anyway lol.
Well, best get off the computer and have a cup of tea before Amelia is due for her final feed for the night. Iron Chef is on soon too, I like watching that! :p
Shayna: I hear ya on the baby brain! It is CRAZY!
That is not our routine.. i just wrote down what happened that day just out of curiosity! haha! Have you seen how often he feeds!? It is flamin crazy i tell ya! I carry Archie on my hip all the time.. he loves it! He is such a little man! Never really was like a real baby baby. He loves standing too! We do this little thing where i hold his hands and count to three and he pulls himself up from lying down to standing and he gets all excited! So cute! Little chubba legs are my fav! I am not going for the routine thing yet either. I figure its less stressful this way cos if it doesn't go to plan i won't be disappointed! haha!
Good on you for perservering with BFing.
Ali: I'll have to check out those playmats! We'll need one cos we have slate and its so rough.. poor Archie's knees when he gets to crawling!
Going to pick up my pram later.. how excitement!
Gotta go tend to bubbalumps xxxx
Hi Girls!
Happy Birthday for yesterday Natty! Hope you had an awesome day, Im sure you got spoilt.
Kym- I saw in a baby shop one time they were selling baby knee pads! Have a look on ebay if they have any, now that you are addicted to it.... Your day with Archie is exactly how mine is/was - shes still waking 3-4 times a night too. Must be something about the 5th December, being born quickly and us having a PPH. Pft, not really but it sounds good anyway
Alison- Ruby can sit in it pretty well, she still has a bobble head too and only likes it for a short time. She cracks it cause she cant reach her toes when she's sitting in it.
Shayna- Good on you for persevering with the feeding, its a tough road isnt it?
Mon- Im sorry to hear about your Garandparents. Hopefully they are both comfortable xx
AFM- Ruby almost rolled over!!! DH and I were cheering her on, my body was all tense willing her to get over - but she didnt. Now she is crying cause she's been on the floor for too long. DH is holding her but I think only the boob will do.....
I cant be bothered cooking tonight so we are having fish and chips. I will make yummy dinners for the rest of the week, I really feel like having a good meal with lots of veggies.
Well, gotta get the boob out, xxx
Hi Kymmy - I'll FB you the item number etc for the play mats on Ebay. :p
Well, this morning bugalugs didn't want my boob at all, I'm so upset, is this the end of my useless attempt at breastfeeding altogether! What a failure! :o
