Hi Everyone
Just a quicke to wish all of you & your families a very Merry Christmas!
See you in the New Year!
Natasha xxx
Hi everyone sorry I haven't dropped in for ages.... I hope you all had a lovely christmas and have an awesome new years planned. We are going to the races on New Years Day (free tix yay!)
Logan is going along well - he has 2 top molars now, they just appeared with no fuss at all. Just the way I like it so now he has 9 teeth :) Still bum shuffling, I reckon it will be quite a while before we get to the walking stage.
Hi!
Hope you guys had a great chrissy! We're up at the IL's and it's HOT!! I had to go to bed early last night as I ended up with the beginnings of another migraine - funny vision and feeling light headed!! Not feeling too bad this morning although it is still lingering...
Kylie - Sounds like Logan's going well!! How are you feeling?? Ethan still has his 6 teeth although I must say after he bit me the other week I haven't had a good look in there for any more! LOL!
Natasha - hope you had a great chrissy!
Ok - chat later!!
Kristie - migraine doesn't sound good, although at least you are feeling better today.
So far so good with no morning sickness - I had gastro for the past two days though (initially thought I was getting a bad case of all day sickness!!) Feel much better today though :) I had a dating scan just before xmas that put my dates back a bit so now due 10th August. Saw the heartbeat - 151bpm and bubs looked like a blob as too early to see much definition.
How excing Kylie!!!! My dates have always been put back with dating scans...Bugger about the gastro...you poor thing!
Happy new year everyone - I hope you all had a good night.
We ventured out to the park for the fireworks and it started raining as soon as we got there so we were home by about 8.30. DH was snoring by 11pm. Yay - what an eventful night. it probably worked out ok though, as I was ovulating yesterday so managed to fit a quickee in before the snoring started lol!!!
Kylie - so exciting to be starting the scans and monitoring all over again. You and Kristie must be so excited.
Ben also has 2 molars coming through. We have just a bit of crying and interupted sleep but generally ok.
I hope you all have a good year.
Robyn
Happy New Year!!
I was in bed by 11pm as well! Although as you can tell am having a super late one tonight!!
Just a quick one to say hello!
Robyn - hope this is your month!!!
Wow - what slackers are we! None of us are posting much this year. I hope that everyone has had a great summer so far. Nothing really exciting to announce here yet - Logan is still shuffling around all over the place, lots more words though. We had a great big poo incident on the weekend. I got a sleep in as I had a sore throat and DH got up and looked after Logan. He was happily playing in his room and up and down the corridor when DH noticed the smell. Then he looked closer and noticed that it had not stayed contained and there was a poo trail wherever he had been due to the bum shuffling. He said there was that much that it covered up his boy bits entirely and he almost vomited 3 times whilst changing the nappy! I have to hand it to him though - he didn't come and get me to help (even though he thought about it). He even mopped the floors and cleaned the rug that had chunks on it..... Apparently I owe him big time and he is excused from changing poopy nappies for a while. Thank god I was still in bed!!!!!
Hi!
Kylie - eww on the poo! LOL! How great he didn't wake you! How are you feeling? Time's really flying - 2nd tri now!!
A big hello to everyone else!
We're all well here! Just had a weekend away which was nice...Louis started 4yo kinder last week and we started all the kids activities so they've been quite tired and cranky! Ethan's doing gymbaroo and Dylans doing ready steady go sports class. Louis is doing swimming and brightstars as well so it is a pretty full on week!
Really need to start getting ready for bubs...we've moved Ethan out of his room now so I just have to get the bassinette set up and wash his clothes, buy nappies and start packing my hospital bags!! Not long to go now. Have already started with pre-labour - getting quite a lot of crampy braxton hicks...hopefully my body's getting nice and prepared for a straightforward labour cross fingers.
Had a fair bit of back pain but the chiro's been helping heaps!
Looking for a new car still - Probably going to get a chrysler grand voyager people mover thing...never thought I'd see the day I'd be driving a van type car - LOL!! It just seems to be the most practical thing right now though!
Ethan's going well -getting into lots of mischief. Singing heaps and trying so hard to talk - he definitely gets his message across though! Such a gorgeous boy he is...
Ok...hope you're all going well! Chat later!
Wow it has gone quiet in here, i feel so lazy. lol
Kylie- PMSL @ Logan's poo mishap, thats gross but hilarious at the same time. Wow 2nd tri already that went very quick :o
Kris- Wow u have some very full on weeks eh..... LOL @ the van type car, i was just thinking this morning actually.... i wonder if she'll get a mini van cause i seen a mum with a bunch of kids get out of a minivan and i thought of u. haha.
You should be resting as much as possible, god knows u aint gonna have any once number 4 is here :p
Wel Lys started school last week, she is LOVING it, im HATING trying to find a carpark.....its just ridiculous, in order to get a carpark close by you need to be there atleast 20minutes early but usually 30minutes :wall: Only 17 more years of school to go :o
Charli is just hilarious lately, every day she literally does atleast something new, she says 'lyssy' all the time and calls out 'mum' and 'dad' when she wants us, also tells us 'no' which is kinda driving me bonkers. Everything is no lately.....can't wait til she learns yes. haha.
Well i better be off, gotta turn the cooling on before it gets warm, plus i got plenty of banana's to make banana bread with for the kids school....... some for my nephews too, trying to encourage my sister to give less 'processed ready to go snacks' but we'll see... lol.
Chou!
Hi Everyone
How funny, I was just thinking this orning that I really should come on here becase I've been so slack & then I saw a notification in my inbox! Must be my psycic powers! hahaha!
Glad to hear that everyone is well - especially the preggies! :)
Kylie - great poo incident. I'm waitig for that to happen with Liy as she has started to take her nappy off! She's ok with her itti bitti's because she can't undo the snaps but her mii lala's have velcro. SHe's been getting her chubby knee stuckin the bars(? sounds like a prison!) of her cot - she stands up & wedges her knee in there. So, yesteday I heard her cying & thought that must be it, & it was - so I went oer to hlp her out & almost sliped on a puddle of wee! Her nappy was off, shews nude & her cot was dry so she must have wee'd while she was standing up! hehe!
Kristie - good luck with the van! hehe! 'Soccor Mom'! ha! Have you loked at the Prado's & other 4x4 type's - a lotof them are 7 seaters. Even Joel's 91(or is it 95? I dunno, !) is a 7 seater. And most second hand ones have been put on gas already. At least then yo uescape the van scenario. Or you could always embrace it & get a Tarago ;)
Kirra - (hmmm, I feel let out not haing a name that starts with 'K'! Well, at least my last name does! haha!) - How great that Lys loves school! Good luck with the parking!
Well, my girl are great. Lily is always busiy running around & getting into mischeif. She opens the sliding door & justgoes outside, climbs up things like Evel Kinevel, sings & dresses up! Such fun! She loves her 'Sissy' & is always giving us kisses! The best thing is that she LOVES put stuff away & cleaning up! Lets hope that she keeps that up! Her little feet are finally growing a little & she has a pair o real shoes(still a size 3 though!).
I can't believe that Lily will be 15 months tomorow! How time has flown!
Pip is a lot more cheeky than usual. Is it a 3 year old girl thing? She'sanswering back & carrying on. Last nght she was being so cheeky that she kept being sent o he rom & was there so long in the end that it was time for her to actually go to bed! She has her first kinder session on Friday which she can't wait for(only half a session though) & the we are off to Emerald for a weekend away for my 30th! What an old bag. We come home on Sunday, my actual birthday.
I've been back at work for a month & I can safely say that I hate being ther as much as I thought I would! But I have to suck it up because I haveto go or else we'd be homeless! Still working on getting Joel to agree to having number 3 - you know what theysay, persistence pays off! hahaha!
Ok everyone, enjoy the heat. I'm of to veg befoe gtting ready for workno sewing for me today - I'm takinga day of there! :) )
ciao xxx
Hi everyone!
I havn't been on this forum before, even though I've been checking out belly belly since my little person (now nearly 15 months...!! Wow!) was in my belly ... belly!
We've just had our first day at our steiner playgroup, which was pretty cool, we're still booby snacking, and my daughter has just recovered froma horriblebout of teething!
Anyway, hi!!
:-) Tine and Finna
:D
Hi Finsmum
welcome!
We've all been a bit lack on here lately!
How's the teething going? Lily has been suffering on & off with all 4 eyeteeth these last few weeks. I can see them, they are nearly through! She's a bob monster too! That's all she wants lately, even not at her usual times! She pulls at my top & says, 'bees, bees' for boobies! cheeky thng!
Take care
Speak soon
Hi Tine :hello: I am thankful charli isn't a 'bad' teether, gets sooky but not too bad. She has only 5 teeth..... how many does your lil one have?
Natasha- LOL @ Lily pee'ing on the floor, Charli does it ALL the time, but its cause i let her have nappy free time all the time. Last time i didnt know she'd pee'd and my nephew stepped in it, then he came and told me someone had spilt something.....when i told him what it was it was hilarious watching him rip his sock off.
Well i better go, charli has my phone listening to her fav song... Jet "that girls a genius' she sings along 'oh oh oh oh' so cute, but no doubt she's getting into the menu's and changing my settings :s
Enjoy yet another warm day :p hopefully all u interstate ladies have got nicer weather.... :p
Hi Piper and Lilly!
Thanks for the reply - don't worry, it's hard to find a moment to sit down and type anything... slackness is probably just busyness :-)
Thanks, yes the teething has settled ... it sometimes just takes so long! She seems to be getting one at a time at the moment, making the process very long and slow! But she's back to her happy self now, and even slept almost all night (she may have woken for boobies once last night, but I don't remember...!!) last night!! Yay!
Lily sounds cute! Four teeth at once ... crikey!
Finna also requests boobies wherever we are, but she clearly says 'boobs!' and pulls my clothing aside to get at them! I've grown a thick skin!
:-) :-) Tine
Hi!
Finna is currently sporting seven teeth... there's more struggling to get through but happily they are giving it a rest at the moment! We use homeopathic teething powder and an amber teething necklace, and these did the trick nicely for the first four teeth, but the last 3 have been more of a drama...
:-) :-)
Haha, yes, Finna does the peeing on the floor thing too, after her bath ... a few times she peed and then immediately slipped over on it, so I've learned not to let her have nappy free time on the tiled floor!
Wow Charli's teeth are really taking their time eh? lol
PMSL @ Finna slipping over in her pee..... its so funny when they do it but gross at the same time and of course sad cause generally it hurts their bums.
Charli is demanding i get off the comp now, shes yelling and sooking at me so i better go attend to her. lol.
Later
IT amazes me how different little kiddies develop - especially teeth wise! Lily just needs her eyeteeth(thy are just about to pierce through, I can see them!) & she has the whole set - then it will be 2 year old molars & I don'tthink that they are far away. My little toothy mouth!
Oh today Piper took a toy from Lily & when I yelled at her to give it back(it was one of those evenings) she threw it at her. Of course Lily cried so I cuddled her, it wasn't unil I looked at herthat I saw she had a little cut under her left eye & it was all puffy & bruised straight away. My poor baby girl! What amean sissy she has! She was ok in no time but, oh, my poor little one! I squirted some boob milk on it right away so it will hurry up & heal & hopefully not scar!
No wee incidents for us today - I would have preferred that!
Have a great night evryone
xxx
Yes, those poor little bums and mouths! I'm glad Finna wears nappies, or her little bum would be bruised from all the practicing walking sudden sits...
I'm amazed by the differences in teeth in different kids, too.
Poor Lily! Booby milk's great stuff, it's good for what ails ya! I used it when I had conjunctivitis last year... Finna fell head first some weeks ago onto the bricks on the porch (eek!), and a huge bruise immediately started apprearing. I gave her homeopathic arnica, and by the time the Dr was checking her head there was very little to be seen, nothing at all the next day. Arnica's good for what ails ya too!
Hooroo!
:-) :-)
Sure is, charli's def lagging behind, although atm im not complaining too much, im too tired to put up with a sooky teething baby. lol
Oh the fighting, that started long ago here, usually its charli bashing alyssa though and telling a 1yr old off is like wasting your breath but if i dont do it alyssa gets upset. This morning they were fighting over the play shopping trolley, alyssa had it then charli wanted it and wouldnt let go so then i unpeeling her fingers from it and she threw herself on the ground and had a lil tanty.... i just ignored her so she ran off and tried to steal the trolley from lys again :wall:
Then as i was making alyssa's lunch charli climbed onto the chari in the study and then ontop of the desk.....then fell off.... i was running around looking for her, i could hear her crying but had no idea where she was.... when i heard her scream i assumed she had fallen over in the bathroom. We got the carpets cleaned yesterday so the changetable was in the bathroom and charli just thinks its "the best" to climb up the side of the change table and sit/stand ontop.... I nearly had a heart attack but lys keeps forgetting to close the door.....thankfully its back in her room now so hopefully no more climbing..... i tell ya this kid is gonna be the death of me :o
Well its miss charli's bed time now so i better go get her into bed or she's gonna be mighty grumpy in the morning :p
Ciao
Huh, yes, don't blame you ...I look at how many teeth 2 year olds have with some horror... she has to go through teething THAT many times in the next 9 months??!!
Crikey, kids are just full on little critters aren't they?! thay don't hold back when they've got something on their minds! Gotta love 'em (except perhaps when you're separating them ...!). Finna had a breath holding thing at 13months (went blue and passed out - I thought she was dead for a few seconds...) and her first real kicking feet stomping tanty recently - which I found funny, and laughed, so she stopped...
Hi!
Kirra - How exciting Alyssa starting school - what a bugger with the parking - seems to be an issue at lots of schools around here! I'm very grateful that we'll be able to walk - it's only about 300m so would make no sense driving the car!! Also when the boys are older they can walk themselves - LOL!!
Charli sounds like such a little character! It's such a fun age for that!
Ethan only has 6 teeth - he got them all before he was 1 and hasn't had any since! LOL!
Natasha - Glad the girls are well! LOL on Pip's attitude - I certainly have it with Louis and Dylan at times...
Bugger about being back at work...good luck on talking your dh in to no.3 though!! I hope he agrees - I know how much you'd love another bubba!
Tine - Welcome! Glad the teething has now settled down for you...
My second 2 boys have done the breath holding and pass out tantrums...normally over and done with very quickly but gives you a big fright that's for sure!!! We're going to have very strong willed kids I think!
As for sibling fighting - I've certainly got lots of it here and I can only expect it to get worse - LOL! My mum freaks out but I think it's just natural for them to annoy each other. I'm always making them say sorry for something and cuddles and kisses. They're not usually violent with each other - more just snatching toys etc...
We've bought a new car!! Don't get it until next week some time but I'm very excited! I put the link on facebook if anyone feels like having a look! I LOVE it!! Never thought I'd say that about a van but it's go so many extra's that it feels like we'll be driving a luxury car! LOL! Very spoilt I am...bit of a stress getting a loan and having to pay for the thing though but we'll be fine!
Ethan's going well - starting to use lots more words and definitely getting into lots of mischief - the most annoying thing is when he throws his food and plate and placemat off the table - drives me crazy!!!!!!
Anyway, better go - got to take Louis to his sports class...luckily dh is home from work today so I don't have to drag them all out!! Chat later!
Hi everyone
Wow it looks like i have missed so much.
Kristee - exciting about your new car. I suppose you are going to need a bigger one to get all these boys around to there activites. I know the feeling re the plate etc going on the floor, very frustrating especially when you have just mopped the floors.
Hi Tine.
Ben seems to have a lot of teeth at the moment. His back ones are coming up now, we just give him pamol now. He gets so upset and it keeps him up at night, and us, so pamol has been our saviour.
We are having issues with him at the moment where if i tell him off for something, like climbing onto the table or getting into dangerous positions, he then runs to dad for a cuddle. So then dad and i have words cause it makes me look like the bad person. So he is now not picking him up and trying to reinforce why he is being told off!
Anyway, does anyone have a childrens table and chair set. We are going looking this weekend, just wondered if anyone had one. Don't really want to spend all weekend looking for one.
Hi Kristy and Robyn :-)
Yeah, teething is a crazy time! She seems to have stopped at 7. That's enough teeth for her apparently...
I don't have the school thing yet, but was a teacher in another life, and getting parking for a relief teacher can be hard .. the pick up drop off thing just looks insane!!
Crickey, sounds tricky with your sone running to dad, Robyn! How vexing! I find it hard to get on the same page sometimes.. I do most of the parenting, but we have had some serious clashes over stuff ... I do very gentle parenting approaches, but there are still always things to disagree about, although generally it works pretty well. I've been reading 'the Science of Parenting' which is SO SO helpful with understanding where their behaviours are coming from and helping them through it all in a positive way - LOVE it! It all works in practice too, which is rare and valuable...!!
Better try and get my sleepy daughter up again - she's a natural late sleeper like me, and I'm trying to get earlier sleep times so I can get her to bed at night ... she sleeps with me, but I got up an hour ago, and she declined ... "no, thanks mum, I'm right. Check in in an hour or two, I may need light refreshments"...!!! Haha!! I know I'll regret it later but I just can't bring myself to disturb her!!!
:D
Argh, sleep madness!!
I'm in need of a little support, ideas and empathy..!!
I love co-sleeping with my beautiful girl, and the sleeping bit is pretty good but it's SO hard to get her to go to sleep! She's tired, I do all the right stuff - calming routine, lots of daytime outdoor play, sleepy music, walkingin a sling and rocking and boobies but she resists sleep for so long! It's really wearing me out. I'm trying to get us into a routine of waking at 8 so she'll sleep at somewhere between 8-9pm, but as I say . she's clearly tired, yawns and rubs her eyes and nearly drifts off ... then fights backand pops happily up wanting to play, have a drink, etc. I can't explain to her yet either why she needs to relax and sleep, or do a meditation or anything ...
I'm actually finding it really exhausting and stressful, and my partner doesn't seemto see the problem, which doesn't help...
Any words of wisdom?
Thanks for listening!!!!!!
:-) :-)
Hi guys :)
finsmum - I can't offer any suggestions re getting you DD to sleep, just offer support in hoping you sort something out. Logan is great I just put him in bed and he sleeps...
Kristie - not long for you now. I am waiting to hear the birth announcement any day. How are you?? Do you have Ethan in a bed yet? How do you know when they are ready for one. I am hoping to not have two cots, but Logan doesn't seem anywhere near ready for a bed, he is still all over the cot every night.
Robyn - did you find a table and chairs? How is the teething going? Logan has all but the bottom two eye teeth, so 14 all up. I was fairly lucky that they didn't seem to bother him when they came through. When I tell Logan off, or he gets frustrated, he bangs his head on the floor!! I just try and ignore it as I don't want to accentuate the behaviour.
Kirra/Natasha - Hi, hope all is going well with your girls.
afm - I'm halfway through this pregnancy now, not sure where it has gone but it has happened quickly. We didn't find out the sex, leaving it a surprise again. Feeling heaps of movement now which is great. At almost 17 months Logan is still not walking, but at least he is finally pulling himself up on things (for the last couple of weeks). He doesn't really furniture walk yet but always wants me or dh to walk him around holding our hands. On the other hand he has an amazing vocabulary and will copy almost any word we say so I am not too worried. as long as he is progressing in some way.
Kylie - good to hear everything is going well. Those movements you feel are so amazing. Ben has started banging his head too, he seems to be having a lot of what I can only call are tantrums now. He has very runny poos last couple of days so must have bit of bug. Just got back from NZ and I think he caught it off his cousin.
Yes we bought a table and chairs from Ikea. We got a red set for $100.
I wouldn't worry about Logan not walking. They all do things in their own time. Even though you probably want him to, enjoy it while he can't walk. Once he can he will be in to everything and you will need eyes in the back of your head!
We are still trying for #2. I hate to think it, but we might have to start investigating the IVF route again. It makes me feel sick and horrible thinking about that again. My girlfriend just had another cycle and got another -ve result yesterday. It is so heart breaking.
Kristie - you must be hanging out now for baby to arrive. Hope you are doing well.
Hi everyone else.
Kristie - Happy due date, I hope that boy of yours doesn't keep you waiting too long.
Robyn - I have my fingers and toes crossed for you in your ttc journey. It sounds like a very emotional roller coaster ride for you.
Today I took Logan for his first lot of professional photos (finally gave in as he is so cute) and he was happy for about 5 mins and then cracked it big time. I have to go back this arvo and try again after his sleep. I actually have to go and wake him up soon. Hopefully he is happy and lets her take more shots. It is so hard with a bum shuffler as he just wants to take off and won't sit still in the shots!!!
This is just a WOOHOO update - Logan is finally walking!!!! He still has his sea legs, but started about a week ago and hasn't looked back, he is so excited :) Hope you and your families are all well xx
Hi!
Kylie - Woohoo on Logan walking!! How exciting! Wow - just noticed your ticker - this p/g is flying along for you!
Hi to everyone else!
Just a quick one from me also...things are going well here - super busy as you can imagine...have another bubba that catnaps through the day and seem super windy and chucky...make my days very draining but of course I wouldn't change a thing...am super tired as well but know this stage won't last forever. Jayden is gorgeous and the boys have been doing really well occupying themselves while I deal with him...I really am so lucky to have such great boys!!
Hope you're all enjoying your weekends! Chat late!
Hi ladies, Just thought I would give our thread a little bump!!! I hope you are all great and our toddlers are doing well. I can't believe they are all 19 months now :) Logan is doing well, keeping me busy that's for sure - running around, talking heaps and feeding himself really well. We are just painting the spare room for him so that he can get a new bedroom before this next baby arrives it will have his big boy bed in it - but not for him to sleep in straight away. I can't believe that I only have 8 weeks to go now, time flies by so quickly.
Anyway I hope to hear how you are all doing soon xxx
Happy 2nd birthday to all our gorgeous toddlers xxxxxxxxxxxx
Yes! Happy Birthday Bubbas, although they are not Bubba's any more! I hope that they all have an awesome day.
Lil'ys not to impressed about turning 2 next Tuesday because it means no more boob! If it were up to her I think she's breastfeed forever! Sorry Miss Lily, I want my boobs back now!
xx
Yay, happy berfday to all our little people!
Finna gets to keep booby access for a bit longer... I wouldn't get away with removal of boobs, haha! Guess I'll get them back eventually...
Funny to think about how little and helpless she was nearly 2 years ago, and how much she can do now... amazing!:D
Hi!!
How are you all???? How are the kiddies?? Hope you're all well!!!
Ethan is well - having some major terrible two moments but at the same time having some absolutely gorgeous 2yo moments as well. He's talking so well and omg he is so clever when it comes to doing puzzles!!!
Anyway, just a short note to see if anyone's around!
Chat soon xo
