Hey All
Nae - How are things now? I also agree with Barb. Good advice! I understand how bad in laws can be -in my two long term relationship I've had two awful, awful lots of in-laws! I would get DH onto the case - he can talk to them if need be. And the snoring thing is horrid too - it makes you feel so alone probably even more so since he's not in the bed. So maybe get that checked out.
Barb- Can't wait to hear if you get the job. And I'm sure Poppy will be fine with you going to work and you'll stike a balance that works. First few times I left Elliott to go to TAFE I was quite upset but realised how good the break of a few hours was! And he really did not mind.
Things are pretty tough over here at the moment too. I'm prone to anxiety disorder when things get really bad, and it's flared up again over my job. I was just being harassed and contacted all the time to help them out and when I finally put my foot down my boss went crazy saying things like "I need to confront the reality of work" and that I was to come in and help for free!! So I've had all sorts of symptoms. The runs, cramping in my hands (from lack of blood flow when heartrate and breathing are fast and shallow and precursor to panic attacks), crying very easily, very brittle. Not sleeping. I've been bullied in the job for years but not really had an issue, but it all caught up with me now!
I have quit my job, but it hasn't solved the issue cause now my boss is auditing every bit of leave I have ever taken cause he doesn't want to pay me out. I've had to get my own industrial rep to fight for me! So caring for a baby on my own through this whole thing is pretty tough! I guess though it shows how strong I am - last time I had this disorder was during a break up with lawyers involved and I lost my house to my ex partner - and I had at least three friends on speed dial and I ended up on medication and I had a therapist and still cried in public every where. Now my friends aren't as close, I can't take the medication and haven't had time to organise any therapy but I am still pottering along.
Added to that was a blocked duct which although is clear now BF is still really painful on that side - I think the nipple was just so traumatised. So I've cancelled TAFE and stuff cause I can't express and am in too much pain with feedings to feel like going anyhow.
Third issue is that I had to do DNA testing and when that comes back I'm wondering if Bady Daddy will emerge wanting some contact. My worst fears is him going for joint custody but I'm pretty sure that won't happen since it turns out he's married with kids already and they don't know that he had an affair and he has kinda told my lawyer he is still hiding everything!!!! I really feel for his wife and kids - I don't want their family broken up cause he is an idiot who cheated and told me lies about his true situation, but I do think Elliott deserves the child support.
Elliott's sleeps are not the best - only 45 min cat naps during the day and nothing works to extend them so I've just had to learn to cope with 4 or so 45 min breaks during the 12 hours he is awake and that's it! Plus still two night feeds AND now at 5.30 for some reason he is waking and needing reassurance and I have to go to him and put my hand on his back and tell him I'm still here otherwise he starts screaming and won't settle. So that's up at least three times a night!
On the plus side, although his sleeping isn't great, he's a pretty easy going boy still, doesn't really cry or scream too much, and pretty far ahead on all milestones, maybe cause he's so big and stong - he's 8.3 kilos! He rolls every which way, sits sometimes for a bit before falling over, loves his Jolly Jumper and Activity Centre, is very vocal at the moment and trying to commando crawl everywhere and lifting hips of the ground a bit so well on the way to crawling maybe.
