csab - oh you poor thing. You are going through the wars atm aren't you. I hope they let bubs stay in there for as long as possible. But just think you could have another bubs in November!!!!!. I haven't had a scan yet but my dr won't order more than he has to :( I have to wait until the 12 week NT scan but that is not far off now. I go back to the dr tomorrow and get all the referrals (hospital, scan, etc) I think I might be joining you in the GD department though. I have been testing myself when I test Meara and my sugar levels seem to be a bit higher than I'd like. What were your levels like - numbers wise??
I spent most of yesterday in bed as I felt so awful. I'm sooooo tired with this pg but I put it down to age lol. My mum actually phoned me yesterday, the first time since I told her about this pg, and not once did she ask how i was or how the pg was progressing. I'm getting real sick of trying to please this woman but failing all the time. I think even less contact is the way to go (not that we have much anyway :) ) but she is buying me a ticket to go to a show with her (for my birthday) called Menopause (after making snide comments that I will be going through it soon). We went and saw Busting Out which was hilarious so I'm expecting a good night with this one. It will not just be my mum and me though, she has invited nearly all her ladies from work. Damn it why are families so difficult???
Hi to everyone else and bring on the birthdays now. Hey I just worked out I will have 3 children aged 4 and under when this one is born. Omg what am I doing??? lol

hi everyone,
It's been a very ordinary long weekend, it's been pooring with rain the whole time so have been stuck indoors instead of at the beach or going to the park etc. I have quite a bored little girl. Luckily dh is having some time with her now. Olive is starting to get excited about her b'day now and said yesterday ï'm nearly 2. It's my birthday soon." was very cute. What is everyone getting their LO's? Olive is getting a gorgeous wooden dolls cradle and a backpack for daycare and a fancy new sippy cup cause on her b'day the bottle fairy is coming:( Not looking forward to that but i really want Olive off the bottle before the baby comes.
Kim i know how you feel tired wise except this is only my second pg. Yesterday i had 2 sleeps, taking advantage of dh being home. I'm so big already and still have 18wks to go. Going to be a very uncomfortable summer and i can't wait to give up work.
You must be a very patient person to cope with 6 children, i can't even begin to imagine.
csab - sorry to here that you are having such a difficult time of late. It must be really stressful going through all that and looking after the rest of your family. I really hope bubs hangs in there for as log as possible to give him'/her the best start. Did you end up finding out the sex of your baby?
hollye - i'm really sorry that this wasn't your month. Hopefully next month will be the one. hugs
hi to everyone else. Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone

Quick update - I have my 12 weeks scan booked in for the 26th of this month which just happens to be Mearas birthday. Fingers crossed that it shows all is well.
CW - I don't think I'm any more patient that anyone else - maybe more senile lol but then that helps with the more kids you have :) I sometimes have to have a nanna nap but I try to push through until about 8.30ish as I find that I sleep better during the night without a day time sleep.
Happy birthday to all the little ones this month and take it easy all us mums

Hi all,
Kim - I have to admit having a nanna nap through the day can be a life saver. lol. Especially with so many kids. I really look forward to some quiet time, when they are all in bed. Soooo peaceful. I dont sleep all that great of a night, I am always up either checking on the little ones or going to the loo, or drinking water to replace what I had just peed, or getting up to the dog wanting to go outside for a pee. Sometimes I wait for one of the older kids to get up to the dog but it never happens. Like to know what they are going to do without me when i am in hossy. Thinking they will have a fair bit of pee & poop to clean up. GL with the NT scan, hope all goes well for you hun, I hold my breathe with every u/s. My next one is on the 19th. Ohhh my GTT results came back at 9, yet the MW that had called me tld me it was 11. So Im not too sure on which one, the diabetes educator was saying that they couldnt find my results. So not sure what happened there. Anyhow my levels have been mostly over the normal range 7 and up while doing my BSL after lunch and occassionaly dinner. had one that reached 13. Not sure what happened there. Which is why they have now made me start insulin. GL with it, I hope you dont need to.
CW - Ohh thanks hun, I am doing ok, havent been able to get a clear answer on what bubs is so far, so I am hoping for a more definate answer at my next u/s. So we will see. I am also looking at getting a 3d u/s done soon at home, keep forgetting to book it. lol. How cute of Olive, hope she had a wonderful B'day. hugs
Well as for me ended having to have insulin. Started the injections yesterday, boy was I getting quite worried about that esoecially the first one was freaking me out somewhat. thankfully it hasnt been too bad, I thought it was going to be worse, yet I barely feel it. more the after affects, even that isnt all that bad.
Last night thought i was going into labour, as had a dull backpain and a tightening that wouldnt ease up for apprx 1hr. it was just constant. So certainly had myself worried. The back pain is still there but the tightenings havent been so bad. Will just keep an eye on it. Thinking it may have had something to do with the injections.
Little V is 2 next week, I cant believe it, it has gone so quick.
Happy birthday to all those gorgeous little Ones of ours. The Big 2's

just had to ring health direct as i got bitten by a spider but they said it should be fine as long as i don't get any nausea or vomiting or cramps. Bubs is still very active and i'm sure all is fine but still kinda making me anxious.
anyone else had a spider bite in pg?
-
Yeah hun, you should be fine. Do u know what spider it was?
-
No i couldn't find it but i feel ok now and the stinging has stopped. i was more worried about the baby then me but i'm sure everything is fine. I would be alot sicker if anything was wrong.
I'm so sick of the rain, it's been raining here for 2 wks and it's driving everyone a little crazy.
Olive is starting at a small centre next wk after her b'day as her fdc has dropped a day so she is very excited about that.
I'm trying to organise a small family gathering to celebrate the b'day but the weather is so unpredictable. We don't want a big party this year, just a bbq in a park or something but it's easier doing that then trying to slot in all the family members through the day, may as well have them all in one place and they can see Olive when it's more convenient for us not them iykwim?
hope everyone is well and happy. I'm 23 wks pg now and am huge. Don't know how i'll feel working for another 10wks but we'll see, keeps me busy.
p.s is anyone else still having sleep issues? Going a little bit crazy lately with getting Olive to sleep. She won't self settle still and seems to be outgrowing day sleeps even though she usually needs one. She is in bed with her bottle atm but i'm expecting her to walk out in a minute. The bottle fairy is coming on sunday, that will be fun. NOT!!!
Definatly gunna be tougher next time.....yeah right who am i kidding lol
-
Hope you are ok CW?? Did you have any more problems with the spider bite??
I have 11 more days to go until I have my scan. Getting excited now at seeing little froggie. Will be the 1st time.
I almost fainted the other day - twice. The first time I was in Centrelink (how embarrassment lol) and the 2nd time I was home sitting on the lounge. I have never felt like that with any other pg so not sure what is going on. Then again this pg has been different for me anyway. No clear signs of what sex this one is lol. Meara has been sleeping quite well lately thank goodness, only wakes up once during the night now and when I get her lie back down she goes back to sleep yay. We have stopped putting her in our bed as well so we now have the king size to just us lol.
Still not sure what to do for Mearas' birthday. Maybe just a small family thing or maybe have a bbq with some friends over. Nothing to extravagant (sp??) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OUR LITTLE ONES
-
Kim, not long til your scan, I can't wait to hear how it goes. I loved going for scans & used to get soooo excited. We're not having a party for Lara, might just have some family over & she'll have a cake at home etc. Make sure you talk to your dr about feeling like you're going to faint.
CW, did you find the spider? Lucky nothing bad happened. Good luck for when the bottle fairy comes lol. We put Lara in a bed 2wks ago. She's been really good although some days she'll get out & play with her toys for an hr or so before climbing back into bed & going to sleep.
Csab, how's the GD going? I had it with Lara & Lexie. I was only borderline of having it both times & was lucky enough to control it through diet alone. I still haven't been for my post pregnancy GTT to make sure it's gone, I'm too scared to go, although I know I need to.
Hollye, are you in the TWW or anything yet? Fingers crossed it's your month!
Nothing much happening here. We've got DD1's school fête this arv & it's bloody raining so it won't be fun wandering around in the rain.
