-
Rach - hope your boys are feeling better - just make sure you get them onto a good probiotic supplement once they are done with their antibiotics - this will replace all the good bacteria that the antibiotics kill off with the bad. Your local health food store or pharmacy should stock them in the fridge.

Im trying to lok at this positively and say, well at least the ILs get some good quality time with her, as will DH and then when i am home with her ill love being with her a million times more.
We has our last 'parenting class' on tuesday, and our MG starts next tuesday we'll be ging to one of the ladies houses. im a bit excited :) im hoping that when i go back to work im still able to do it and if not im hoping they'll be happy to change the day as none of them have to go back to work for a long time (if ever, the lucky bums ;) )
DH comes home today, im looking forward to seeing him, Miss A and i havent been well (just the cold thats going around) and all i want is him home with us xx

Wow it's quiet in here!
I just thought i would make a quick post while Eli is sleeping. We are off to get his 4 mth needles this morning so i am hoping all goes well and he is a tired and snuggly little bub after (that's how he was last time). I love bubby cuddles with him, especially in this cooler, rainy weather.
I started Eli on solids over the weekend. The paeds dr had said it was fine to start him at 4 mths and we haven't had any concerns with him as far as sensitivities/allergies go so i figured i would see how he liked it.
The first day he was not so sure about what was happening but the next couple of days he has loved it and as soon as the spoon is out with something on it the mouth opens and he makes little noises and waves his arms around excitedly. He loves to eat!!!!
The first couple of days i gave him one of the Rafferty's Garden mixes of apple, pear and cinnamon but yesterday i gave him farex... i was surpised he liked the farex because bubs that i know have hated that stuff!
Well fingers crossed today goes well - and for you too Rach cause i know you mentioned on FB your needles were today as well.
Hope to hear from you all soon,
Tam. x.

I think its really quiet in here because we all have each other on fb and can see what everyone is up to on there plus we're very busy with our growing bubbas!
I for one am going to make a really big effort to jump on here more often;) As I love this group you're all wonderful :)
Tam- Good luck today!!!
RachB- How is your mum doing???? By the sounds of things on fb Lilli is most diffenatly visiting!
Thought Id share with you what sometimes happens to me......I walk through a scent that is my dads aftershave:) I know its him! Not the same as having them here but I feel lucky to have that:)
Am I the only one starting solids at 6 months? Annabelle tried them at 6months but didn't really eat till 10 months. I just figured Id do the same with Lucy. MCHN said at this age and 6 months solids are just an education thing at moment.

Hi all,
Kass, Rach E and Boomba - I was going to start at 6 mths too but when paeds said 4 mths I thought i would see how Eli was going and then decide. I went at 4 mths because he is basically the avg size of a 6 mth old and i have found he has not been taking his bottles well atm.. he doesn't finish them and seems to get really bored, so i thought i would give it a go. I was pretty surprised that he loved the food though!
LJ - i always look forward to getting Eli weighed too. They grow so fast which is a beautiful thing but also a sad thing...
When Eli was weighed yesterday he has gained 1kg over past month (little heffer) so is now 7.7kg. He was difficult to measure length because he was kicking and screaming (and this was before the needles!) but he is a little over 65cm... about 66-67 we estimated given his movement yesterday! I am going to get him re-measured in the next few days. The troubling thing for me is that with his height and weight he is almost the perfect proportion for a 6 month old (i think it is 68cm and 8kg) but he is only 4 mths..... again the whole sad and happy thing......
Eli and I are off to the mum and baby movies today to see Valentine's Day. This is only the second time we have gone to the movies but i am going to try and go most weeks. A local cinema does $6.50 sessions which makes it really cheap little outing and there is a movie to take kids into most weeks.
Have a great day and hi to anyone i have missed, or hasn't posted recently - we love you all so please post again!
Tam. x.
