Thanks all for the well wishes for DS
Stevie - I am in a pretty good routine when DH is at work, but he's not back to work for another week.. Though, it still feels like I'm doing so much more (and getting the 'but that's your job' from DH)
Just a quick one from me - I'm in the car on the way to pick my grandmother up for the airport - She's going to Hong Kong. Staying in Singapore for 1 night, in Hong Kong for 1 night then off on a cruise for I THINK 10 days, back to Hong Kong for 1 night, Singapore 1 night then home.. Lucky thing :( Will bbl

:hello: girls, sorry ive been MIA last few weeks. Been busy setting up my home business. Just a little boutique store, won't earn me to much, but am looking forward to it. Ive named it "Inspired by Lilli" in mememorial to my little princess, heheh even have a little pic of her on my website banner :D Once its complety up and running you all must have a look and tell me what you think.
Well last monday Evangeline had her sleep study done. :( So many wires, i hardly slept a wink that night, just watching her with all them wires broke my heart. But she only paused her breathing a few times  Though, cheeky girl decided to have a big deep sleep when we got home, and once again her alarm went off grrr.
 On current weight gains. Missy moo is 5.5kg and 61cm long now  heheh you should see all her chubba rolls now, i love them!!! Also think she may have inherited mummy's thighs, poor girl. We also have our next lot of needles in 4 days :( can't believe my bubba girl is almost 4mths old. Where did that time go. Sorry the about me post, i will be back later for personals!!!

Hi all,
just put some new photos on facebook so thought i'd duck in and share them. hopefully the link works....
Emma Haigh#039;s Photos - Alyssa Maree | Facebook
Miss A is having a sleep in the cot. Trying to get her used to it through the day so we can put her in there for nights in a couple of weeks seeing as she's just about grown out of the cot!!! growing up far too quickly!!
Fi and Tammie - I'm 5 kilos lighter than i was pre pregnancy but most of my shorts still don't fit. so depressing when you've lost weight but there's some hanging around in all the wrong places!!! i know i need to start exercising but....... I like the 9 months to lose motto as well.
Stevie - bubs name is great!! I've wanted that name since i was about 17. Dissappointed my MIL though cause there's so many different spellings she'll be spelling it for her whole life. thought it was a bit hypocritical for someone who called there son jonathan. do you know how many different spellings he gets of that!!! Don;t know how i'd handle another one just yet. but it is nice to have them close together and if it happens i guess we'd all make the most of it. and you're right - what's meant to happen will happen!! I'm still too scared about labour to think about another one, but in my heart i know i'll probably be trying again this time next year......
Rach - hope you have a nice couple of days away and good luck with the night TT.
Rach - Good luck with the home business. something to keep you busy (like a baby doesn't do that ;). I think little miss has inherited her mum's thighs too!! chubba bub was 5.3 kilos 2 weeks ago and 60 cms. will have to get her weighed again soon!!
okay - be back later. think she's waking up and i'm meant to be ironing while DH is at cricket in the 40 degree heat (stupid game to play in the middle of the day in summer!!!)
-
RachE: have fun in gladstone and well done with the TT :)
RachB: you will most def have to show us your website when its all done :) your doing to be a busy busy lady :) im glad that Miss Es sleeping test went well too xx
LJ: your granma is like mine, she's a jetsetter ;) she;s goes everywhere and does everything. she's almost always holidaying .. but she deserves it of course :D
and i kno wwhat you mean about the "but thats your job!!" grrr.. who votes that taking the rubbish bins out is a mans job??
**RAISES BOTH HANDS AND WAVES THEM AROUND LIKE A MAD WOMAN!!** lol
Em: your baby is gorgeous. and you know what else is funny, my DHs name is also Jonothon.. but with all 'O's ;)
afm.. im dwelling  i hate it but i cant help it!! i tried to get stuff done today but my mind is just elsewhere at the moment.. its driving me nuts!! and im so excited about gettingour car, i just want to have it already LOL. DH is booked in to get some more of his Tattoo done (he's getting a full sleeve on his left arm) im booked in to get more of mine done in May but this was made jic ive stopped bfing (wouldnt have thought i might be UTD tho) coz aj (the tattooist) is really good, and has like a 5 month waiting list. but ill have to cancel sit coz i want to bf for as long as i can now. i better go Miss A is dropping off to sleep and i stil have to bath her and get her ready for bed.

Hi all,
Just wanted to say a real quick hi!
No personals today but wanted to let you all know that DH and I just took bubby to the Coast (we went to Main Beach on Gold Coast) today and he loved it!!!!
I really thought he would hate the sand on his feet and the colder water but he was happy to sit on the sand and put his hand in it and sit on my lap in the shallow waters.
He has also just drank his first formula bottle.... i am not stopping bf but as i have difficulty expressing (and don't like feeding in public) I have decided to use ff when we are out. He took the bottle fine, but did screw his nose up for the first few sucks. Then drank about 160ml which is avg for him.
Before anyone gets offended, i don't have any issues with other people bf in public, i just don't want to do it - i actually don't feed in front of anyone but my husband. Sounds silly i know, but i can be a little proper at times....
I am so happy he loved the beach and took a bottle I just wanted to share.....
Be back soon,
Tam.
-
So sorry I have been MIA ladies. Ill keep up from now on!
Hope all babies and mummies are well, healthy and happy:) BBL for personals :)
-
Tammiere: bfing, i understand what you mean about not liking to feed infront of others, mines for a different reason tho, coz i have had so much drama with breastfeeding, i still feel so unnatural at it. and i know i look silly when i feed her, and i know that anyother bfing mother would probly notice :( having to have to use a nipple sheild i always have to carry that and a towel with me and.. well its aalways just a stuff around really. Otherwise tho, i really dont care (friends and family) im probly a bit to open and honest about things but hey, thats just me lol.
Good on your little man for taking the bottle so easy, it will make your life alot easier, its made things a million times easier for us. she doesnt get formula everyday. just days where she seems to be eating alot and my boobies cant keep up 9or theyre super sore) or if she left with MIL (she's the only person who has babysat her so far) DH hasnt even looked after her on his own yet :shakehead: i dont think he would be able to either sadly..
also good that he loved the beach, i havent gotten around to taking her, im a little too scared too, its soo bloody hot up here the sun would be nasty at the beach, so im waiting for it to not be so 40 degree weather LOL.
hey Kass, good to hear from you :)
afm: meh.. what can i say.. same old same old lol. Dh gets home in a few days im looking forward to it coz im so bored. Miss A is doign wonderfully, she's alot of fun to play with now, i feel bad for saying that but before she'd just lay there whereas now i can wave toys and stuff in her face and watch her get all excited lol. its pretty awesome. got my first real giggle the other night, i was blowing raspberries on her belly and she's let out a cute loud giggle then id crack up laughing coz it was so cute and i was so excited to finally hear her actually laughing then she's stop and look at me as if to say "you weirdo mummy" i told DH and he's like "just you wait til i get home then" he can make her smile by just looking at her, he would have her laughing (well that sound that you know is ment to be a laugh but it sound more like a cough lol) she already has him wrapped around her little finger.
great granma (this woman doesnt like me or DH [she's DHs granma..long story] but she puts on a act for the family) made a little comment when i said that she had daddy wrapped around her finger.. "her little fingers must be very busy.. she seems to have everyone wrapped around them by the looks of it!!" well of course she does you silly woman she's the first grand daughter LOL.
anyway i must be off,
:hello: to everyone

quick howdy I am so tired thus too slack to do personals  bad I know
well weekend was good IL's behaved themselves with Luke allowed me to stick to routine etc with Jack so so but I was firm and tough and I had him in bed normal time 2 out of 4 the other 2 we had been out so were late home etc, then everything was late, but I still had him down ASAP...
they even repected me in regards to Lukes day sleeps I was liek man ... mnd you there were still many  keep ya mouth shut rach moments  but I was so proud of myself standing up for my boys and stickign to things I beleive in, my nephew who is 4 in 3 weeks OMG  the crap he is allowed to get away with of course Jack tried it and Jase and I bit that in the butt very quick... things like walking around when its dinner time, filling up on juice cake etc not eating real food, being allowed to run around sports club climb on tables etc, no way is Jack allowed to do that stuff and MIL kept saying oh there having fun its ok I iwas like no way, I am sure once we left today they wil have commented on what a cow I am but :p to them
anyway must move my little man has been sleeping from 7- 7-30pm till 6am but today when we got home at 2.30pm he was in foul mood had a shower and feed etc, and went to sleep at 4pm and well:o its 7.40pm and he's still down :o I'm a bit worried that he will wake and stay awak but am thinking he will wake around 11pm  thats what he does and goes straight back down, we normally go to craft for4 Jack on wed morn but giving it a miss tomorrow as he has swim lessons starting .. so if I have a bad night at elast I dont need to be out of house till 11.15am rather than 9am
ok goen to wash up and straighten up in case he wakes
-
Hi Ladies. It's been pretty quiet in here this week so i hope everything is ok for everyone.....
Stevie - i had to laugh about great granma.... i HATE elderly people who pass judgment on my parenting skills (or lack thereof at times). DH's nan is the same - i have a baby swing and Eli loves it and has from the moment we got home... well she made comment that it was dangerous and swung far to fast for a baby.... it's a Fisher Price swing... i'm pretty sure it is safe for a baby to use! Stupid people.
Rach - congrats to you for sticking to your schedule. I am becoming a stickler for that too... i have realised how much happier Eli is when we stick to naps and bedtimes etc so now i make sure it happens. The other thing i hate is when people pass E around heaps - he gets cranky about it and so do i but they don't seem to care.
I am so anti-people today!
afm, we have had a terrible couple of days. On Wednesday Eli was exceptionally sookie and grumpy all day. He wouldn't play, nap etc. Then Wed night he woke every 1.5 hours which he has never done before - the most he has ever woken before is once during the night and always around 2am. But on wednesday it was 10pm, 11:30pm, 1am, 2:30am - back to bed at 3:30am then 5am.
Thursday he was a little happier but still very high maintenance. I have noticed he has been putting everything in his mouth that might fit and instead of sucking his dummy when it goes in his mouth he has been biting down on it. So i gave him a cold teething ring and held it in his mouth for a few mins for him while he gummed down on it and that seemed to soothe him for a while. So i am guessing his gums are starting to get sore..... i can't feel anything in there yet though so who knows how long this is going to go on for!
the other issue i have is blocked tear ducts. E has had these since birth and i have been cleaning his eyes many times during the day etc. I got saline wipes (Little Eyes) last weekend from the chemist and while these seem to be clearing the tear duct up they are making his eye ball a little red. Does anyone have any experience with blocked tear ducts?
I spoke to the pharmacist and she said the biggest thing to watch is his discomfort (he has none presently) and lots of redness around the eye can indicate infection in the tear duct.
Just thought somone might have some ideas/info on this one.....
Last thing, E is 3 months today so had him weighed and he is 64.5cm (90th %), 6.7kg (75th %).... but most importantly he is my gorgeous little bub!
Hope you are all well.
x Tam.
-
sorry can't help with tear ducts tam but it doesn't sound very nice for por Eli
AFM ..........OMG luke rolled tummy to back this morning and i got to witness it i am so excited
-
Yay Rach - that's super exciting!
E has been able to roll from tummy to back if on his tummy mat... but i don't count that yet as there is a pillow under his upper body which helps him. But hopefully not too far away......
As for his eyes... for about the first 10 weeks both tear ducts were blocked but now it is only in 1 eye so we are making some progress... albeit slow!
x Tam.

Hi girls. Thanks for making me feel better about my mummy tummy! I have one because I am a mummy so I shouldn't complain! I like the advice about 9 months to gain it 9 months to lose it, very practicle ;)
Great to hear from you Emma, glad everything is going well.
Rach2281 yay for the home business! Can't wait to hear more
Rach75 good on you for sticking up for what you believe in and not letting the inlaws get to you or disrupt your routine. Good luck with the TT! Go Luke with the rolling! I don't think Leila can do that yet. She still tries to crawl when I put her on her tummy and when on her back she can roll from side to side but I haven't seen her do a full roll over yet.
LJ & Boomba your little boys are doing so well
Stevie - great news about the car! Hey, have you done another HPT yet??
Tammie, don't worry abut the bottle and BF in public thing not everybody is comfortable doing it and if you are not comfortable then you need to find something you are comfortable with. I thought I would feel uncomfortable about it before I had Leila but as it turns out I'm completely the opposite and I happily feed her anywhere, anytime in front of anyone who happens to be around! Very weird but I'm comfortable with it so thats all that matters. As for Eli being unsettled sounds very much like Leila has been lately. I think she had a growth spurt as she had a few days where she was unsettled and waking for night feeds where she had previously been sleeping through consistently for weeks. Did my head in! BUT, it passed quickly. Leila has also been sticking anything and everything in her mouth. She's actually started sticking her fingers down her throat and making herself gag, then looking at me and crying as if she wants me to stop it from happening  Poor little thing! I think my little girl may teethe early too as her gums are starting to get a bit sore & swollen but I don't know too much about teething so I guess it could still be a while yet - hopefully anyway! Not sure about the tear ducts sorry. But hopefully your little man settles down soon, I know how frustrating it is  Oh and well done on the awesome weight gain!
Who have i missed? Sorry if I've missed anything important it's not that I don't love you I'm just short of time and there has been a lot happening.
AFM all pretty good here. My mum & dad arrived today to stay for a few days which is great! I've had to do a bit of work here & there which has been ok but I really miss my little girl when I take her into child care :( Leila had a terrible night last night. The worst night she has ever had, poor little thing I was really starting to freak out. She woke from her sleep and just started crying and crying, then screaming and screaming and screaming and screaming! It went on for about an hour and a half and I have no idea why. I have never heard her scream like that for so long, it was the most awful thing to be so helpless. I don't know if it was wind (which is her usual reason for crying and very easily fixed) or maybe her gums were sore?? I have no idea. I ended up giving her colic drops which didn't work and in the end I gave her panadol, which I really didn't want to, but I didn't know what else to do and I just wanted something to help my poor little girl feel better. It worked anyway and she eventually settled down and had a good sleep. Its so hard when they can't tell you what is wrong. At least my mum is here now so if it happens again she may be able to help me figure out what is wrong. But fingers crossed it doesn't happen again, it was just heartbreaking to see her in so much pain.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

 Fi for you and little Leila. Sounds just like Eli atm. He is putting everything in his mouth that might fit (bib, blankets, hands, fingers until he gags etc)... and the dribbling is insane! I have started giving him cold teething rings which seem to keep him happy but they are quite big so we have to hold them for him while he gums away on them.
Good luck on a good nights sleep - i have just put Eli down and am hoping for the same since he has been waking the last few nights.

just dropping in to say ive been keeping up but havent had a chance to really even breathe these last few days..
i will be back when i can for personals
til then HUGE  to all our mummies and babies xxx
-
thought i may as well post while i can (about to go and pick DD up from MIL)
Rach75: good to hear you stuck to your routine. Its hard sometimes, i try to stick to the little rountine i have as much as i can but DH throws it all away when he comes home anyway :(
WOOHOO how exciting about Luke rolling onto his back  i was VERY slack with tummy time when Miss A was very little, coz she HATED it, but as of about 2 weeks ago she really enjoys it so i put her on her belly much more :) she's rolled onto her back a few times but i honestly think it was just fluke, she was just leaning to one side and lost balance and kind of toppled over, was vvery funny to see
Tam: sorry i cant help with the blocked ducts :( and im so sorry to hear Eli has been out of sorts
Fi: no i havent done a hpt yet, i will be doing one in the next few days, im almost too nerveous to do it lol. Im so to hear you had such a rough night with Leila :( its so hard when you dont know what the matter is :(
afm: im not in a veruy good mood :( DH has been at me all day and im so over it. i just cant wait tfor him to go back to ****ing work.
Miss A cut her first tooth a couple of days ago, it makes sense now why she was so grumpy, but she hasnt gootten any better, if anything worse. but now that i know i can give her teething rings and teething gel (the curash one) well the other day i was at my friends MG (they went to the pool and she invited me to go) was lots of fun hangiong out with lots of lil babies (all a few months older than Miss A) but when we went back to one of the ladies places, we had all the bubs on the floor and Miss A started laughing, like REALLY laughing, ive just gone "this is Alissa'a first laugh" and it souded SOO cute.. i started crying infront of everyone LOL how embaressing, then they're all going "naw.. how sweet" and she's just laughing her head off, it was the coolest thing ever.
i best be off, sorry if i missed anything or anyone, im just haveing such an off day :(
xxx

just to clarify our routine is one Luke has got himself into not one we chose if that makes sense, it was just a matter of I read his moods etc, with Jack IL's would not take any notice if I said Jack is tired they would keep bouncing him round passing him back and forth basically ignoringme then when he was way overtire stimulated pass him back and off they would go to bed :wall: frustrated the crap out of me, so this time I am being tough I am the one who has to deal with the boys at night no-one helps me so its my rules if they want to think I am a witch I sdont care anymore

AFM
Hi all! I've been lurking on the forums from time to time but its been awhile since I posted in here - sorry!
I have started training to be a natural fertility educator which is right up my alley with natural medicine so I am really excited. Its only a few hours a week at this stage but will hopefully bring me some rewarding work (part-time of course) down the track.
Jasper is as well as can be - can't believe how big he is getting! :o He is such a happy little chap - always smiling, cooing and blowing bubbles. The other day he surprised me as I put him down on his tum, and when I checked on him again he had rolled onto his back with his head up the other end! I might have brain fog but I don't remember DS1 doing this manouver at this age!
The best news however, is that he has started sleeping through. His pattern varies a little - between 5 - 7.5 hr sleeping stints at night, but I'm not going to complain about that! Only prob is the sore boobies!
Last time my periods came back when DS1 started sleeping through so I'll have to be careful if that happens. Not ready for a 3rd just yet!!
Our only issue is that Jasper is not so keen on other people - just wants to be held by Mum and Dad at this stage, which upsets my MIL a little - but she'll just have to get over that until he grows out of the clingy phase. People tend not to believe us when we tell them that we rarely hear Jasper cry - coz he always cries with other people!! :wall:
Well, I hope you & your bubbas are all well. I will have to pop back in over the weekend to catchup on the goss.

Welcome back JB!
Glad to hear Jasper is doing well and congrats on getting a few hours sleep each night.
IKWYM about the moving around. Eli has a little lovenest pillow (he was starting to get a bit of flat spot so i bought one to help prevent it... seems to be doing the trick) but when i go and get him from his cot in the mornings the pillow is normally out from his head and he has turned himself at least 90 degrees in the bed - all this and he has been sleeping wrapped!
Speaking of wrapping - i have finally had the last 2 nights where i have been able to leave his arms out from being wrapped so i am heading off to buy some sleeping bags for him today. : )
Stay well
x Tam.
