HELLOOOOOO!!!! :hello:
It's so so quiet in here so I thought I'd drop in and say hi to everyone.
How is everyone going? I don't know about anyone else but I finally feel like the fog has lifted!! It's been clearing for a while but now I just feel so much more in control of things - it's such a nice feeling!
Leila is doing really well, she's such a funny and cheeky little monkey! So beautiful and affectionate at the same time though so we are blessed to have such a sweet and vibrant little girl. She's sitting on the floor reading to herself at the moment, she loves her books. Earlier she was trying to eat some plastic packaging (tiny little pieces) that esacaped our clean up. I told her no, they are not for eating and that they are ta for mummy (baby language is great!) anyway she then went around and found another few pieces and kept bringing them to me and saying ta!! How cute is that!
Well I don't know about anyone else but we are going to start trying for #2! Originally I thought we would wait a little longer but we figure now is as good a time as any so next cycle we'll be on the TTC rollercoaster - hopefully it's a short ride!
Love to everyone

good luck TTC #2 Fi :)
I keep dropping hints to jase that I want another  but so far no luck he thinks we are too old dont have the room etc

Thanks Rach!
I hope you can persuade Jase to have another one!! ;)

Hi Girls,
Good luck ttc #2 Fi!! Up until last month, i was soo soo ready to start ttc#2 DH is not ready at all. Then something clicked inside me and now im not sure that i ever want another one.. that sounds so horrible but Alissa is getting older and starting to get easier and now im thinking, am i ever going to be ready to go back and start again? ands something in me says no!! DH is saying that one day we will when she's older and we have done some travelling and enjoyed ourselves and everything so thats a good sign that he wants to.
But im just not sure ill ever be ready to be a part time single mummy to 2.. being it to one is hard enough :(
Good luck and i have my fingers crossed for you that its all super easy... a tiny part is jealous so thats a good sign too ;)

hope you all had a wonderful 2nd xmas with all the bubs and a safe new years xxx

Fi - We thought we were going to wait till DS was 3... But about a week ago, DH said (in the shower) he wanted another baby. And, I was right in the middle of my cycle and close to O so, well, we decided were going TTC #2 through this cycle.. Then, if we're not successful (with all the BDing we've been doing, I'll be surprised if I'm not UTD!) we'll wait next month (DH doesn't want #2 to have the same birthday as DS) then after that cycle, start again
-
Happy new year everyone!!
Wow good on you Liz - good luck with this cycle I have my fingers crossed that everything falls into place for you. You must be so excited - we have thought the same thing about avoiding next cycle due to the babies being born around the same time. I can't wait to hear about your BFP!!
Well we were all set to start TTC and I was so excited but then things at work just went banana's (its been building for a while but just seems to be getting worse) and I've been so stressed and unhappy - I feel like I'm constantly in conflict which is so unlike me and I've just been beside myself and considering very carefully my future at my current job.... then of course I stressed myself out even more because we do want to TTC#2 and I don't want to be doing so if I'm looking for another job and we'd have to postpone our baby plans etc. It's all been doing my head in and I've been a mess really so we haven't been TTC this month which I'm not happy about. But by the looks of things my cycle is totally out of whack anyway with all the stress and I don't even know if I o'd this cycle or where things are up to which is going to make things challenging when we do want to TTC.... It's all a big drama really. Trying to find the right work/life balance is so much harder than I expected!!!! To top it off we went away for xmas and Leila caught hand foot & mouth from her cousin and we got home to find our cat had been bitten by a paralysis tick :wall: Arrrghhh anyway, I'm going to make a real effort to stay positive this year and deal with things without getting too worked up.
I hope everyone had a great xmas and is feeling excited and positive about 2011!

ok girls lets update on the babies well toddlers now
whose talking
Luke says dad, da, dada, bub, bubba, jac (jack), Hara (harry) og (dog), boo, ta, bu (bye), Lo (hello) he attempts lotd of other words sounds but these are words that anyone can decifer understand...but he wont say mum, he said it once a few months back he was crying and following me going mummmmmm...but thats the one and only time he said it so maybe it wasn't mum and just part of a tantrum sook so any other bubs out there who dont say mum
I sit there and say to him say mum he looks at me smiles and goes bub, I go no mum he says louder bub then just reoeats bub bub bub bubba or starts saying da da da :( makes me sad whe wont say mum a few friends have said why does he need to say mum as I am there with him 24/7  and I suppose its true I say where's dad, or Jack or is that harry barking..nobody says where mum... I asked Jase to start but he doesn't Jack has been saying say mum to him a lot but still nothing... oh and he started saying oy like the end of boy if harry barks LOL
whose walking/running still crawling
Luke has been walking since just shy of 1 and is now running its so funny ...he takes off down the hall or across the yard when we brave the midgies and go outside
what else is new
he started blowing kisses using his hand at xmas and will on command do what we call a ta ta (bye) kiss he blows us a kiss and waves goodbye/night... he also started shaking hands proper like he holds out his hand you take it and he shakes awww its so cute....he went for his first proper beach swim over xmas he isn't voerly fussed on the water but as logn as I hold him is fine..I think its more the coldness of pool/ocean thats gets him... but he started trying to blow bubbles, sticks his whole face into the water LOL he loves to have a shower and holds his face up to the spray and everything
over xmas we spent time with jase's nephew who is 5 in feb and my god made me so thankful my boys love to shower and have their hair washed serious this kid freaked cause his head got wet from the rain:shakehead:
he is also a climber my god anything and everything its like have a first child Jack never did any of the things Luke does he seriosuly freaks us out no fear I tell ya
not a lot else happening 2 weeks till my big boy starts kindy well this time 2 weeks he will have finsihed his first day, I am excited, scared and a bit sad about it all...

Our Update
* William still doesn't want to walk yet - and DH is worried bout him
* He says 'mum' 'dad' 'nan' 'gandad' (grandad) 'po' (pop) 'gog' (dog) 'all gone' 'go' 'car' 'okay' 'yeah' 'no' 'hey dere' (hey there) 'aaa' (ta)... um, I think there's a few more but can't think right now
* He's cruising the furniture and he's hesitantly letting go for about 5 seconds before realising what he's doing then either falls to his bottom or grabs a hold of something
* He doesn't like cartoons, he loves the music channel - especially Rihanna and Katy Perry
* He used to hate baths with a passion, now it's his fav thing to do. He crawls into the bathroom and stands at the edge of the bath and waits for me to put the water on.
* William has been opening sliding doors for bout a month now, and he's constantly closing them on us too! Has been closing doors on us since he was 8 months old
* What else? ATM he's not eating much, but we're putting that down to the 'grazing' stage, though when he does eat, he loves his food and I don't think we've found anything he doesn't like
* With a rocky start, he's been sleeping through the night since bout 8 months - with a wake up during the night only every now and then
* He has 10 teeth, 4 at the top, 4 at the bottom and 1 molar on the left at the top and 1 at the bottom
That's all I can think of right now. It's his bath time, so I'm off

WG William
oh luke finally has 8 teeth LOL Jack had 12 at this age
dont worry too much bout william not walking Jack didn't attempt till he was about 14 1/2 mths and wasn't confident till he was around 16mths....

I've told Murray not to worry, because I'm not.
There was something else I was going to add but I cant remember it now :p
-
Hey lovelies!!!
Jaja is NOT walking, good, my baby for longer;) Meh kids do things when they're ready NOT when a chart says so;)
Liz- omg TTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????
Rach- Luke is a talker;)
Fi- ttc aswell!!! My god I must be behind;)
Stevie- Please do, Alissa would be an amazing big sister AND your babies are soooooooooooooooooo cute!!!
Well, not much to report. My girls are getting so beautiful together. I lve watching them:) Lucy is talking, standing, trying to walk etc but most of all throwing tantrums! Yep, if I dont want to give her the boob, or as she calls it, "here", then she will throw herself on the floor and bash her feet and hands........oh ****......
-
Hey girls it's nice to get some updates!!
Your little ones are all doing so well and developing their own beautiful little personalities, I'm so happy to read how well they are all doing :D
Leila is doing really well...
She's running - walking is no longer an option for her!
She says lots of words... mum, dad, hello (quite clearly), see ya (so cute!), book, dog (she goes woof woof all the time too!), ta, no, Leila (says her own name all the time), that, milk, duck, hat... a few others too I just can't think of them at the moment. Her language skills are quite well developed (I think so anyway!).
She seems to understand quite a lot of things ie. are you hungry/thristy, do you want to go outside, have you done a poo, open/close, on/off, time to change your nappy, let's go for a walk, where's you hat, where's your shoes, where's ...(insert name of toy). I find that if I want her to do something I just say "Leila do" and she has a go at whatever it is I'm asking her to do. I guess she just likes to copy everything that I do
She has 12 teeth and eats really well - has been a bit up & down with her eating but mostly she's really good.
Is a major tantrum thrower!!! I actually just posted to get some advice and she hits herself in the head all the time, it's awful. The poor thing gets upset and then hits herself in the head :shakehead: Kas your post made me feel a bit better! It's so hard when they do that, I worry that she will really hurt herself
Big hugs to everyone
Fi x

Kass, yep we're TTC - But not many people that actually know me know :p I'm actually in limbo atm to where I'm at in this cycle I'm in.
Fi, she sounds like she's doing well :) I forgot 'that' as well - William said 'that dere' (that there) and points to things, but when he says it, he says it as a question :p
-
Hey girls just though I'd update you and let you know that we are putting TTC #2 on hold for a few months as I just got a new job  Don't want to start and then have to tell them I'm preggers so we'll probably give it 6 months or so before we start TTC. I'm a little sad about it as I'm keen to have another bubs but at the same time I think it is the best thing for me right now and in the end will make me a lot happier and put me in a much better frame of mind in preparation for another baby.
