Sparkles - Thanks for your concern. I went to see my GP yesterday and she did a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy even though I told her there's like a -10% chance! Came back negative as I knew it would. She checked for a UTI but negative too. She is sending my urine sample to pathology just to check on the UTI. She had a feel of my ovaries and I nearly jumped off the bed when she touched my left ovary. Sooooo painful! :( She is sending me for an ultrasound to rule out an ovarian cyst. Ultrasound is tomorrow afternoon at 14:00pm..... I just pray that if it is a cyst that it's small and that it'll go away on it's own. Have had a number of cysts over the years and although most of them thankfully resolved on their own, a few of them kept growing and caused intense pain which resulted in surgery (laparoscopy)! :( Thanks for your message on FB too, just saw it come through. Geez, you'd think once we've had babies that our female related problems would ease up or go away lol  You said you were also going to have an ultrasound to rule out cysts etc... Are you having pains as well? What are your symptoms? Do you had a history of cysts as well? Hope for both our sakes it's something simple and that it doesn't affect us TTCing! to you!! xo
Will let you all know more once I've had my ultrasound.... :)
-
Pretz,
What is with these female problems, thats what evryone has always said to me, once your body has done it once it knows what its doing!! NOT!!
I hope your ultrasound shows just a healthy old ovary there & no cysts!!
AFM - i went back on the pill after Ty, went off it 3 months ago and ever since have had excruciating O pain. So bad i have to call DH home from work as i can't move , it lasts for about 14 hours and gets to the point i am in tears, nausea & wondering if i should go to hospital, not fun!!! I have always had O pain since i was a teenager but just a dull, annoying kind of pain!! This is ridiculous. I also don't O till around CD21 and get AF 7 days later so my cycle is all screwy. I always O'd late and had a shortish LP (10-11 days) when TTC but anywayz. So i have an ultrasound this saturday to rule out cysts etc, and go back to the dr;s on monday! In saying all this though, i O'd this month (monday just gone) on CD16 YAY and the pain was still very bad but i could still do things so maybe my body is sorting itself out!! Who would know really!! Will keep you updateed!!
We are all good, Ty is random with his night sleeping at the moment, about 50% of the time sleeps 6-6 the other 50% wakes up about 3-4am and wants a bottle!! Other than that he only has a tiny cough left from his cold!
Hope everyone else is well! xx
-
Sparkles - Ah that sucks! Sorry to hear about the O pain being that bad and that you cycle is all screwy just like mine!! :wall: I too hope for both our sakes that our ultrasounds reveal nothing and that it's just our hormones being a tad out of whack but that it'll fix itself SOON! We want more babies dammit and want to be able to TTC without any of these problems and tests! lol I too have had O pains since I was a teenager and mine were pretty horrific too at one time (lasting about a day (24 hours or so) but mine was due to endo. Thankfully after my last endo op in 2007, although I still had some pain with O, it wasn't as delibatating and I can still do things. :) My last 2 periods lasted 9 days and were super heavy and then came 24 days after the previous so I'm not even sure when I O'd (never really had O pain to tell me I was O'ing) and if I even did (guess in a way I must've as I had a period...) when was it??? :shakehead: Snap that your doc checked your iron and thyroid levels too! Hope it comes back normal. ;)
Glad to hear that Ty is better and yes I hear ya on the random night/early morning hour wakings for a bottle. Noah has been sleeping better again too, sleeping 6:30pm-6:00am but the past 2 mornings woke around 3am chatting away for about half an hour before screaming his head off and nothing will make him go back to sleep except a bottle....lol :doh:He is napping now so I'm hoping he will nap for a while because I have sooooo much to do (or would like to do) before he demands my attention again...lol.
Hope all goes well with your scan Saturday and please let me know how you go too. I will post back and give you an update too!
Have a great day!

Sparkles and Pretz - Bummer about all the girlie problems you are dealing with. I have never had any problems so cant help either of you but just wanted to say I am thinking of you both.
AFM: Really, badly going through a wanna have another baby stage. Kinda gets me down at times but only for a split second as these three gorgeous kids keep me so busy! (and crazy!! lol)
Alannah now says 'bub bub bub' and instead of 'dad dad dad', she says 'bab bab bab'! lol
We bought Alannah her first life jacket for the boat as we are going away next week ------ $99 later!!! *gulp* But she is our babeeeeeeeee, <3
Hope everyone is well. Awefully quiet in here.

Hi to everyone else!

Hiya Vix and Blackrose! :hello:
I miss you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooo x billion more times sooooooooooooooooooo much on FB Vix! We are using the group you created for us more than BB so keeping each other updated on there!
But just for you, here's a special update (copied from our group on FB)..... :)
Great!! (NOT) Ugh, so I had my ultrasound this arvo and the report says that I have a 3.1cm x 2.7cm simple (fluid) cyst on my left ovary and a very small fibroid on the lining of my uterus. I see the GP again on Monday morning so will see what she says about it all and we'll go from there. :( I'm sure the cyst should be ok as I've had plenty of fluid cysts before and they just either rupture (which is painful, but it's better than surgery) or go away on their own, so hopefully that's the case... Not sure about the fibroid though as I've never had one but my Mum had them before having a hysterectomy and said to me before that they sometimes put you on the pill to lower your estrogen levels and that can shrink them too, so not sure...will see what my GP says. The lady who did the ultrasound said it was very small, so hopefully thats a good sign too! :crossfingers:
BLOODY women's problems!!!! Not what I wanted/need just before wanting to TTC!!!
Sorry for my rant..... :(
Vix - I hear ya on wanting to have another baby soooooooooo badly! I can understand how you feel though, but there's always a way IF you and DH do decide that you'd like another baby right? ;) I now almost want one more than ever because I don't want to have more female problems which might cause problems and stop me from having that other baby!! lol WTG on Alannah's words how cute! Noah just goes bub-bu-ba all the time with a Da-da-da in there too at times. lol How cool about her life jacket, you'll have to email me a photo so I can see her in it!
Sparkles - GOOD LUCK with your scan tomorrow, hope you have better news than me and that your ovaries/uterus is all good ready for baby making! :p
Well then, I'm off to bed, am exhausted so will catch up with you all again over the weekend!
Me xoxo

Hey Blackrose - no worries at all. I am trying to keep my little brood healthy before we go away next week! Get better soon.
Pretz - I had a fibroid picked up during an ultrasound with Alannah - completly forgot about it. I think it was for my 12 week scan it was detected and they said it was a 'see what happens' kinda thing. Well, it must have gone away by itself because as I said, I had forgotten about it.
Ouchie, your cyst sounds horrible. That is a darn good size too. Keep me popsted love.
I know, I know. Have had a few people ask me to come back to fb. I even had a friend call this morning saying I had set a good example and she too had been absent more from her fb! I do miss it but not sure where I found the time before. Yikes!!!
No more babies here at all hun. Remember my uterus tore with Alannah....have a feeling thats what sent me into early labour with her. Having another baby would be putting my health and a bubies life at risk. I considered risking it though......I also considered looking into adoptions........I know if all was okay, I would be ttc. I just have 'that feeling' going round and round in my body. Argh!!!!!!!!
nite nite

Awww thanks Vix, that sure makes me feel better about it! My Mum also told me not to stress said that if the fibroid is that small there's a good chance it'll just go away on it's own. It's the large one's that keep growing and growing and cause the problems. Yeah the cyst is big for 3.1cm x 2.7cm, but to me that's not too big. Usually everytime I've had a cyst they've been larger and mostly around the 4.0cm x 4.5cm size and then they rupture (ouch :crying:). The largest cyst I ever had measured 7.7cm x 8.1cm which I had removed in 2005. The OB/Gyn I saw back then said that if it had grown any larger and ruptured it may have damaged my ovary so glad I had it removed before that happened.. :) Second largest one I had was a hemorrhagic cyst which was 6.6cm x 5.9cm! Will definitely keep you updated!
That's right, I forgot that your uterus tore, soooooooooooo soooooooo sooooooo sorry honey!!! HUGE HUGE HUGE 's BUT if you really want another bub/child then there are other options like you said adoption... :)
Whereabouts are you going on your trip next week? Hope you have some nice weather and that it's not too cold! Hope you have a blast!!
Speaking of trips - I only just told the girls in the FB group as I kept forgetting but my Mum and I have been looking at plane tickets as they realllllllly want me and Noah to go visit them. She found a real good deal online so I spoke with a travel agent and she is going to just check on some pricing for me and then get back to me by Monday. If all goes well I should be on a plane on my way to South Africa on 15/16 August for a months' holiday yayyyyyyyyyyy!
Group Question - For those of you that have been overseas with a bub, are you allowed to take your pram with you? Also how do I go about taking Noah's formula onboard, can I take the tin with me or do I have to put it in my checked luggage?
Have a great weekend!

Hi ladies,
sorry I've been reading, but haven't posted in ages. We've been in the land of sickness for longer than I remember. Seems to be either Madi or me sick with one thing or another. I bought a vaporiser yesterday, and Madi had the best nights sleep since getting sick. Argh.
Pretz - to answer your q, yep you sure can take a pram, but it gets checked in with your luggage, unless it's a small stick stroller, which you can take to the boarding gate. If you have a regular pram (we have the strider plus) I highly recommend having it "wrapped" at the airport, as this will minimize any risk of getting damaged during transit. With the formula, I had a couple of those formula dispensers, with each feed amount in the little sections & just took the bottles with the cool, boiled water in them. I put a bit extra in, as sometimes they make you have a sip from each bottle to show it's not dangerous :-/ anyhow, I just packed the regular tins in my main luggage (had to take 3 tins cause the UK doesn't stock what she drinks) anyway, I found this easier than lugging a giant tin in the nappy bag. HTH, any other questions feel free to ask :)
AFM - well as above, we've just been lying low with illness, but that aside Madi has been going great. She is crawling, standing (without support for like 20sec at a time), climbing on everything & babbling. I can't believe how much she has learnt in just the last month! She's always crawling off to investigate things! Still sleeping well at night, and still having 3 naps a day, though they are shorter (between 45min-1.5hr) I tried cutting back to 2 naps, but that didn't work. She does fight naps sometimes though, and I can spend up to an hour repeatedly going in & laying her back down, frustrating! reflux is still up & down, and we have good & bad wks with getting her bottles down, though she eats ok, so that's something.
Group question: so I am still giving milk before food, when do I swap this around? I know milk is still important til 1, but do I wait til then to give food 1st?
Cheers Bec xo

Yeah Bec, you wait til they're one before you swap it around :)
We've all been sick with a nasty flu over the weekend. Summer's still eating snot every chance she can. I think she likes it...
I think I'll buy a vapouriser when I have some money. I had one years ago, but it went mouldy inside & was hard to clean, so I got rid of it. Now I know more about cleaning I'll be able to fix that! (I was 18... my mum is actually learning cleaning tips from me!)
I'm so over the school holidays. They go back Monday. Can't come fast enough!!
We have 6 weeks left before we have to be out of our house & still nowhere to go :( I'll put an application in for a house down the road, but its not a great area. & it'll require me actually leaving the house in the mornings to get the kids to school!! I'll have to drive them 5 or 10 minutes away to catch the bus up here
Its a very nice house though. Old queenslander done up, with 2 bedrooms in the roof, one down stairs. All the rest is one big open area.
OMG its cold! We're out of wood! Going to scab some from dad today!!

JaCaMa - Hiya Bec, great to hear from you! :) Sorry to hear that both you and Madi have been sick. It's going around now as everyone I know and their bubs have been sick recently.. it's too freaking cold I reckon. Thanks for your tips re flying. I might go and buy a cheapy stick stroller that way it's easy to get around otherwise I'd have to buy one in South Africa and then have to drag it all the way back again. I'm too scared my pram would get damaged if I have to check it in so won't be taking it.. Thanks I will do the same with Formula, just put it in the formula dispenser and keep the tin in my luggage. I am only going to take 1 tin in my luggage as my Mum said that they do sell the S26 Gold there, so that's good. I can't remember but how did Madi go on the flights to the UK and back? Did she sleep well? I'm flying from Brizzy to Sydney and then from Sydney to Johannesburg direct so booked one of the basinette's for the Sydney to Johannesburg flight. I heard that you should feed them on take off and landing to help with their ears popping.... how did Madi go with that and did/does she use a dummy? Noah doesn't use a dummy so will have to try the bottle... :) Thanks again for your help/tips. Hope both you and Madi get better soon! PS: Are you on FB? Almost all of us are on there and Vicky created a group for us a while ago so we chat in there mostly since it's easy to chat from our phones etc. If you do have FB, click on the FB link on my profile and it should take you to my profile where you can add me. ;)
Hiya Clover! Nice to hear from you, although sorry to hear that you all have been sick too. I hear ya on the snotty noses and them not wanting to eat food but will the snot if you don't wipe it! lol I hope you get the other house down the road. It sucks when you have to move, but it's also exciting with a new place as you get to find new spots for all your stuff. :) We have bought wood twice since the beginning of June as I have been trying to keep my fireplace going all the time so it keeps the house warm.
Hello to everyone else! :hello:
Hope you all have a great day!
Me xoxo

Only twice Pretz? Geez, I buy a trailor load every 2 or 3 weeks!
I wouldn't mind the house down the road, but the area is pretty bad. I'd rather stay here in town. I'm on my own full time. If I can keep my dog it might be ok, but I don't want to live there without her. I'm worried about living here without her!!

Hi all,
Am reading, will come back later when not trying to listen to my bro play footy on the radio!! IF ONLY I lived in Melb!!

Living with mum & dad, so no net. Sorry guys.

Clover! Hi! So glad to hear from you, hope everything is going ok!
Ladies ...
Gosh I miss this thread. I have spent like most of the afternoon reading through old posts (while Ben had a 3hr 10min nap!!!). FB just ruins everything .... **stamps foot - chanting "bring back Belly Belly"**
FB is so easy to keep track with everyone, and I am the worst for finding time to post on here ... but ... i don't know. Just being sentimental I guess.
Baby ... cough, cough, sorry TODDLER (WTF?!?) just woke up!

Hi ladies! gosh only 11 days until V is a big one year old. And he was our youngest babe wasn't he?
Happy birthday to all the beautiful bubs who have already turned 1 and the others who aren't quite yet. They are all gorgeous.
Can't believe its been a year, flown. I can still remember being insanely jealous of all you who had already popped! Now I'm thinking aww wish Vinnys big day would hurry up, but at the same time would rather he stop growing up and stay a baby.
Where are they all at now that we are a year down the track?
Teeth: V has 8, 4 top and 4 bottom. Teething again atm but I aint sticking my fingers in there to get bitten again.
Words: V is a chatter box. All the regulars, mum dad bub nan up down duck ball book cat dog and some randoms i've only heard once like car chair mouth and then he is constantly asking questions whosthat and whatsthat while pointing at anything and everything!
Mobility: first steps on the weekend (only 2, twice) and none again.
Personality: just a cheeky monkey! he loves dancing and playing with balls. balls are his favourite toy on the planet. he has a really decent throw arm on him! He also pulls the books out of the bookshelf about 10 times a day and doesn't yet get that he has to put them back.
would love to hear what everyone is up to and its nice to reminisce back to this time last year when some of us were popping!
