CONGRATULATIONS SUPA B :confetti:
Oh wow Supa I'm soo sooo sooo sooooo happy for you sweetie!!! :happyforyou:! Is bubbie a little Hawaii souvenir or did the holiday magic continue at home ;)?? I was a bit tired when I posted last night but I hwas going to say so pleased you checked in as I was wondering how you've been. xxx
Hey Noni...Gone plat babe??? When you getting your avvie? Re the flat head - I'd mention it to your Dr/MACH - it's prolly a question of how flat IYKWIM which isn't something you can judge for yourself. BTW that's funny about A's 2s and 3s, we have the opposite - all the 2s fit around the waist (bottoms) but in the body she is too long/hefty so we need 3s up top - bit of a hassle when you're trying to buy sets because the 0-2 range is in a diff part of the shop to the 3-7s and completely diff clothes!!!
HOw's the pumpkin challenge going ladies? I founda website called pumpkin lady who sells the seeds, but she's got 2 classes of seeds: 40-200kg or 40-400kg...I don't know if I'm woman enough to go for the big big ones! LOL
oh Md you are more than enough woman for the big guns. double dare ya!
Supa: Congrats BABE!!!!! :dance::dance:
Noni:  i saw on FB that you are worried that W might be getting crook. :fingerscrossed: that it's just the heat xx. dont worry about having to leave the job, like you said, you have to do what's right for you first and foremost xx
Renee: in all honesty it was a well needed vent at the family for me...very therapuetic LOL!
AFM: same old same old. Leila was a bit bothered by the heat on the bike ride into work today, but luckily it is air-con there so she toddled off to join the kids dancing to the baby elephant song...pity that it is now ingrained in my head LOL! dadadahdah dah dah...
Congratulations SB !!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOX Thats awesome news :)
GAH Maybe Baby! I've got full ferns on a quater of the slide just like I did last Friday, when I assumed I had ovulated!!! What on earth is going on. Looks like i'm going to hunt down a MB thread!
Noni - Hope W is feeling better after his nap xx.
Pumpkin challenge? Sounds interesting
wow who did that? own up!! thankyo thankyou :) i didnt even notice, having a very observant day on my 4hrs sleep lol!! how do i get an av lol i have no idea!!
thats what i meant md shes in 3 tops and idk if we will get away with 3 on the bottom coz shes skinny in the waist.. i know what u mean about the different parts of the shop!! sooo annoying coz ash has been a 3 in tops for a while now!!
william only had half an hour nap grrr he seems a bit better now..still fussy with his bottles tho im kinda worried he might be teething.. oh tell me it isnt so!!! might take his nappy off and let him roll around naked for a bit to cool off in the air con..
thank god my dad used to be a refrigeration mechanic!! my air con started leaking into the house this morning and when i rang the real estate they told me i should turn it off! bugger that for a joke with 2 small kids!! anyway i managed to fix it with some guidance from my dad!! woot hehe ended up just being the filter was blocked lol oops so it was getting a bit of ice on the inside which was melting slowly and leaking out lol! so relieved its fixed.. was nice to be able to ring the real estate back and tell them not to bother too!
thanks clare i think it is the heat or the dreaded teething grr asha was always horrible in the heat at his age too tho... he just looks generally annoyed lol hope he sleeps tonight!!
rennee - goodluck with the maybe baby not sure on all that stuff sorry :(
well im off to sus out this av bussiness lol
CONGRATULATIONS SUPA!!!!! & all the best for a H&H 9 months. Seems you brought back a little one from holiday ;)
Clare - Good on you I would have done exactly the same. I was feeling worked up reading it & when it got to the part of BIL snatching the 'dity' apple off L I thought my gosh I would have gone crazy too. & yes letting it out is so theraputic isnt it, at least then they know not to mess with you. So come on tell more about the peanut butter incident, I'm loving these stories, in a way I am happy that I am not the only one or the only 'bad' DIL iykwim, not that I want you to have family issues!!
Renee - I have come to the conclusion that DH & I are just gonna dtd every night next cycle lol. Surely something will come of that!!!??? Just waiting for my period to end now & its on like donkey kong as they say. We have bought before subject to selling a property too, VERY stressful situation. Let me tell you right now you wont do that again, DH & I refuse to lol. I hope your buyers get finance in time so you dont miss out. Where is your new place if you dont mind me asking, still in the same area?
MD - Yep you are right I do try to relax about it, mostly these days I do. Its just when they go overboard its like why???? Why would you do that to your granddaughter who you love so much?? That sounds a bit dramatic but I'm sure you get my drift. Thanks for all the advice as usual. ;)
Noni - Thats a shame about the job not working out, but there are plenty more jobs for when you are ready. I can imagine working with a toddler and a young baby is HARD WORK. I doubt I will work when we have another, its just too hard. Too expensive with daycare too.
haha "its on like Donkey Kong" love it! The house we have an offer on is in Butler, on the opposite side of Marmion to Quinns Rocks. Butler primary is meant to be really good and we are a minutes walk from the beautiful Butler park. Ahhh I should stop talking like its ours already, ive probably jinxed myself.
Good work apprentice Noni :) I bet that saved alot of stuffing around. From my experience working in a property management department, things like that take a very long time to get sorted. Enjoy your air-con, I noticed its very warm there!
I noticed tonight when I was tickling Rory that he has his back molars coming through! I forgot about those ones LO!L
Hiya chics! (U read correctly, 2.20am, can't sleep!)
Noni- glad u fixed the a/c, u r a champ. Can't wait to see ur AV. I love seeing new ones, I like to see what the person looks like. Ha ha. I should really get one.
MD-thanks for the congrats. Yes we 'made' the little on whilst in Hawaii! Isn't that romantic? I think its rather cool. Wait til we break it to our family they hopefully won't count backwards- but ya know when ur friends tell u, its the first thing ya do! Lol. Nevermind.
Reneenay- back molars? R they the 2yr old ones? I don't even know if dd has them yet! What a great mum I am!
MadsMum- thank u 4 the congrats. I am the same, will stop work once #2 is here. Too hard basket for me. I am so not that organised.
Cassius-thank u. I am a little confused, do u ride with dd on the bike? Wow u r athletic!
AFM: drove past the hospital tonight and I told DH we r basically booked in there next year. He is v excited and loved our first hossy experience. Opps this is supposed 2 b about dd.
We took her to 'donalds' tonight. She tells people she 'loves donalds'. She ate all her cheeseburger except for 3 bites. Amazing incentive huh, if only she ate my cooking that enthusiastically humph...
That's a crackup about "donalds"...Missy E just calls it "the chippie shop". Although last time we told her she was going to the chippie shop she announced quite firmly that she would be having a hamburger. Which is weird cos we've only ever given her nuggets so I guess all those telly ads have leaked into her brainio. She loved the hamburger, btw, but she's an enthusiastic eater most times but I don't think it has anything to do with my cooking Supa LOL. Agree super-romantic getting a bubby in Hawaii! You should check out some Hawaiin baby names LOL
OMG Renee don't tell me there are more molars - nooooooooo!
Noni, well done fixing your aircon, very impressed! Always good when you can phone a 'friend' isn't it?! BTW don't feel bad about work, you've still got 2 littlies, you need to make allowances for that...I guess the agency will still be there when you're ready to try again, might be more convenient times etc with a different family in the future. I bet you feel relieved now though
Renee, got every crossed for you and the house - how exciting and nervewracking for you!
AFM - freaking out big time cos I've just realised as of tomorrow it's 2 weeks until Booby Day. I'M NOT FRICKEN READY!!! Someone please teach me the secrets of slowing down time...???!!!!
hi girls!
Reneenay: the 'pumpkin challenge' was thrown down by arte...to grow SUPER-sized pumpkins...as in, like GINORMOUS lol! MD was looking at the 400kg varieties so imagine lol!
Supa: ha ha! DD doesnt actually know what maccas is LOL! although we do have our local mexican and Leila is all over that like a rash LOL! in actual fact there isnt a maccas near here at all...there was one kinda near the old place...wow! but so so true...i find when we go out for dinner leila can pack away like three times the amount than at home :wall:
MM: so true! it's always nice to know that we are not alone in our 'trapped by the ILs' dramas LOL!
i apologise if i have already told this story...
okay, the peanut butter issue got way ugly LOL! basically DD was in the kitchen. it was family mayhem as usual as DHs bro decided to cook dinner (despite the fact that i had already started a dinner  but that is a whole other issue). ANYWAY, i left the kitchen for 2 seconds to kiss DH goodbye and left DD in there with BIL. next thing i know DD has fallen off the marble dinner table ONTO the terracotta tiles hitting a chair on the way down. awesome. she is understandbly upset (close to dinner, tired, sore etc etc). so in order to help appease her hurt i finish making her snack of peanut butter sandwich...this is when BIL makes critical error # 1. he began mumbling that the stuff is disgusting. going on and on how it is just pure fat...i told him to leave it alone. but of course, in his infinite wisdom, it was an issue that just couldnt be left alone. so he turned around and told me that i was poisoning and condemning DD to a life of obesity and endless unhappiness (no i am not exaggerating what he said :o). *that* may of been when i lost all sense of reason...
i asked in a very quiet and measured voice for him to be quiet. he didnt take the hint and told me that he knows best! it was at that point that my arm became kinda became disembodied and i watched on while my arm (with peanut butter jar in hand) raised and pegged it at him and his constant motor mouth LOL). luckily i am a poor shot and it just went sailing past but he FINALLY realised that i had lost my marbles and left me alone. it even resulted in him apologising to me 1 day later (the first time in his life!).
phew! that was long!
AFM: leila is starting to do things in leaps and bounds ATM. her language is taking off and she even did 2 pees in the toilet yesterday!! so happy!
when i went into her this morning she was sleeping with 2 dollies, her bag and a packet of wet wipes LOL! she must have midnight flurries of activity LOL!
Vent coming!!
I am so over dh looking down on me.. Lately william has hardly been sleeping and asha is waking in the night as well.. Early this morning I asked dh if he could go and get asha coz she was crying and his response was "why should I have to f-ing do it" talk about a nice start to the morning! Then when william and ash decided to get up for the day (around say 8.40) I was carrying william and he spewed all down the hallway and then in the bouncer just before I was able to put him in it, dh was still in bed but I asked him if he could just hold w while I cleaned it up and he gave me more attitude.. After this dh thought it would be a good idea to come out with us but sleep in the lounge!! By 9.50 william had been screaming on and off for an hour and I was losing it, yelling at him and yelling at dh to please help me till I ended up putting w on dh mid scream attack.. Dh gets up and gives me a filthy look and says "would be nice to sleep in atleast once a week u know" like I sleep in ever?? Ughhhhh but it gets even worse!! He settles w and goes back to sleep and has been sleeping on and off, anytime I ask him for help he incinuates im lazy and then when I was angry at asha he jumps in attacking me about being angry with her (like to see him deal with it on so little sleep) and then I went to the bedroom coz I didn't wanna listen to him and he screams "ur too harsh on her" really loud and both kids start screaming... he's probably gone back to sleep now im soo frustrated, as if I don't feel like a crappy enough parent without him chiming in..
Anyway sorry for the vent just needed to get that out..
Noni - big hugs sweetie - lack of sleep makes us all less tolerant - but geez your DH is being pretty unfair. You are doing a wonderful job of raising your two and you should never let anyone tell you otherwise . Oh yeah we all love a sleep in (in an ideal world) but the solution to that when you're a parent is to forgo evening activities and go to bed earlier...they are little for such a short time and in a few years you'll get your sleepins on a regular basis again. In the meantime, time to strike some deals, along the lines of - we're both parents (50% your DNA, 50% mine) so if XYZ for you, then you can XYZ for me. :)
Clare, I don't normally condone violence but hun you were living on the edge! BTW - you'd do well to remind the ILs that a tablespoon of peanut butter has 10 g of fat in it of which only 2 g is saturated, whereas an equivalent serving of the average FORMAGGIO has 10g of fat of which nearly 7g is saturated!!! (I bet more in Italia as i doubt they hold back on the fullfat dairy component). It's all a question of moderation IMO. yay for toilet wees and quiet midnight forays!
Wow Noni 9.50 and he is still trying to sleep, I know its so tiring having a baby and toddler but come on if you have to be up, he should be up too. :( He is being very unfair. Also as for the telling Asha off, I often find that its so much easier for me to get frustrated at M if DH is slacking it on the lounge, not helping when I asked him to etc. Its like a way of showing them you arent coping, step in & help out a bit here before I really lose my marbles. So I know that feeling, dont feel like your a bad mum for it. I think we just expect the hubby to see oh hang on a min, wifey is losing it here slowly better help out - but being men sometimes it just goes right over their heads lol.
Renee - Ohh Butler is a nice new suburb, and glad to hear Butler Primary is good. Its funny how it all comes down to where the good schools are now isnt it? When we first moved here we didnt even have kids on our mind, so of course the schools in this area arent that flash hot, unless you go private. I hope you get the house, waiting for finance is a drag and so stressful.
Clare - Go you!!! This BIL sounds like a know it all, does he have children?? Is he the elder brother? As for peanut butter, I agree nothing wrong with it in moderation, its not like you dont know that.
MD - Two weeks!!!! Eeeek!!! You will be fine though, I know you will love the end result. Go MD!
Supa - LOL at the 'Donalds'. Kids arent silly are they, they catch onto good things verrrrry quickly. M doesnt know McDonalds yet either, but she well and truly knows 'Lollies & treats'. Unfortunately DH did the food shopping yesterday (Big mistake) & came home with half the lolly isle, much to M's delight. She was helping me pack them away while saying 'mmmmm lolliesssssss'. So far its been a nightmare keeping her away from them all, she keeps remembering they are hidden in the pantry. Bet you are so excited about number 2!!!
Girls I am very excited today, after what happened last week DH has booked a holiday for us for May next year to cheer me up a bit. & it has worked, we are off to KL, Singapore & Phuket. M is coming, well should be coming this time if nothing goes wrong!!! We are planning on doing all the fun things like Singapore zoo, water parks, china town, Fantasea in Phuket etc etc. So if I do get pregnant before then I will still be ok to go, hopefully lol.
Fantasea in Phuket :o???! Said phonetically, that just sounds oh so wrong! Yay for your holiday, sounds magical!
SupaB, Congrats!! How exciting!
Noni, why the fudge do they have to pick the frigging day that you have had almost no sleep to decide to start saying such stupid things.... It isn't just you, there is a fair bit of it going on here atm and it is p!ssing me off.
Clare, LOL at your IL stories - I don't think I would ever have the courage to throw PB at someone, although sometimes I wish I could. Well done to L on the toilet wee's.
MD, no secrets so slowing down time here. I would if I could - Miss A is almost 3 months old already - I want my little baby back!! I don't know what to say, only that I hope you are pleasantly surprised when it is over and done with.
MM, that trip sounds fantastic! I am sure that did wonders to cheer you up! My ILs used to try to offer W junk all the time (once I told her not to give him any more and so she was offering him some 'cheese' - when I looked over it was a chocolate biscuit!) but just before they came last time they watched some doco on kids and food additives/sugar and the behaviour changes it can cause.
MP, I had a thought the other day - has N got all his molars? I find that W goes right off his food when he is getting teeth.
Speaking of molars, I thought W should have them all by now but I looked and he only has half of one!!! That leaves 3.5 to go!!!! I suspect that he is getting another atm since he has been a tantruming snot the past week. I am getting really tired of it. Is anyone else suffering through multiple tantrums every day? He can last up to an hour and it is driving me batty.
I am still struggling to keep up but thinking of you all.
Congrats Supa, you will have to give this bub a Hawaiian name lol.
Clare I would have gone and picked the PB back up and had another go lol.
Noni  you really are doing a great job. Parenting is hard enough without feeling like your doing it on your own.
MM lucky you going on another holiday, now that I am not pg I should fit in your suitcase!!
A big huge hello to everyone else.
AFM all good here. L's speech is getting is much clearer and its fun having convo's with him now. He recognises some colours now, the other day he was yelling at us to look at the green bus. I wish we had daylight savings as his early starts are horrible, especially when its only an hour after I fed Z.
Hey Oz! I've been loving the photos on the kids on FB. Your Zoe is quite the cutie :)
Arte, the tantrums have settled for us - he still has at least one a day but they don't last for as long. I don't know how it sort of came about that he doesn't have as many. But we still get one really good one a week LOL.
H, you're going to have to say something, because while they might like the fact that she is reallu chubby and to them that probably equates as chubby = healthy and strong, like a lot of people from that generation do, there is a fine line between 'oh isn't she a cute chubby toddler' to 'OMG isn't she HUGE' when she's a bit older kwim? And I can guarantee that they will be the worst ones for commenting on it even though they created and contributed to the problem all along  I think she is just gorgeous as she is and a normal toddler but they can' keep undermining you by buying her love and feeding her crap. I hope you can get through to them though because it's going to do your head in. And my mum was the same too, busting her ass to give them their first chocolate biscuit  but I always said to her wasn't it lovely that the kids have their diabetic grandmother teaching them good eating habits at such a young age and she layed off a bit LOL. Probably a bit mean but they are my kids and I will be as vocal and as rude as I need to be to get the message though.
Noni, that's crap. If my DH dared say anything to me like that I would tear him a new one. He needs a reality check and needs to realise that this is his life now till the last child leaves home. He can't just swan around the place making you feel like **** and if he wants a sleep in then he can damn well help you because that means everyone is happy then.
LOL SupaB, talk about the new belly babe all you like hun, we'd love to hear how your pg progresses. And I have to live vicariously through all of you that are still having kids LOL so I need to hear all about it.
MD  is there any way you can busy yourself, or set yourself a huge list of things to do before The Big Day so that it seems like it will drag on forever? I wish I could be there to hold your hand and be a cheeer squad for you.
Clare, again I would have tore him a new one if anyone had the audacity to suggest that they knew what was right for one of my children. You did well not to throw more than just the pb jar ROFL. I hope it was the wake up call he needed and you dont' have any issues from him again. I also assume he is childless?
Well I have a happy wanderer on my hands I think. He is just besotted with DH atm and follows him everywhere, regardless of whether we want him to or not LOL. Over the weekend I have had to go and fetch him twice because he's gone off to catch up to DH. First time was just before I had to take L to a birthday party and DH was at the neighbours place stipping their oats, and it was right across the road from our front gate. So I go to get Alister ready to go and can't find him. Ask L where he is and he said 'dunno' so I have a look around and thankgod for bright orange Tshirts because I can see him halfway down our driveway, only wearing a nappy and shirt mind you, but he'd put his gumboots on LOL. So I drive down to get him and ask him where he was going and he said "To Dad on the header" so we come home toss him in the tub and get ready and away we go. Then yesterday DH was carting a bit of straw back to the house with the loader tractor and I didn't realise he'd gone to do more. The boys were outside and I was just about to get him organised to go pick up the girls from BIL's and he comes in wanting his shoes on. So I changed his nappy, put shorts on then his shoes and he just goes outside again. Luckily I went out about 5 minutes afterwards only to see him just at the top of the hill to go over to the back paddock. So again I had to fetch him home and he told me he was going to cart hay with Dad. So we've had to reinforce all the gates LOL to try to keep him in the yard.
hey girls!
Sherie: yip. the BIL of mind doesnt have kids. but he does have opinions LOL!
:o can't believe he is determined enough to 'help' dad that he can walk that far without being distracted LOL! Leila would last all of 5-10 mins before she something else to distract her LOL!
must be scary, but oh so cute!!! *mwah* i LOVE this age!
Oz: i was tempted LOL! ah well, i think my 'darling wife and perfect mother' vision that they had of me has well and truly left the building ROFL!
that is so cool the L is recognising colours! Leila is a bit like N ATM and only likes 'yellow' lol.
Arte: ewww i havent even checked to see if Ls molars are there or not! i am  that they are as i remember a few months ago the misery of her teeth coming through...hope it all happened then!
MM: i am curdling with envy!!!!!!!!!!!! take me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Noni: that is WAY uncool of your DH to say and act like that! i guess they all go through their *moments*, but they also all need to have a boot up their bum when it happens!
AFM: all ok here. slightly peeved at DH who has informed me that he will be in NZ for week...in a weeks time!!!!!!! how's that for notice?! really annoyed as it wil be full on for me; no family around to help and very few friends in situations where they can hang out with me and keep us all company IYKWIM. i know that i am a big girl and can do it, but i'd just rather not be alone....yes yes, big pity party happening at my end of town LOL! also annoyed because he will no doubt be meeting up with one of his exxes while he is there, and TBH i am just not comfortable with that IYKWIM. so all adds to my angst. but i am trying to be a big girl about it and not complain...to him LOL! as for you girls well, sorry!!!!! :p
