md- just got your little package thank you. gonna enjoy it on sat night with a couple of glasses of chardy so thank you! can't wait
just took jimmy for his needles and he put on quite a performance, all the women were surrounding him going 'oh the poor little thing'. he puts on a great sad face, i really think he should be on one of those huggies ads or something!
can you put pics in the gallery these days?
-
No, not going to act on the cluckiness. DH is still pretty insistent that he only wants one (mainly from a practical point of view - he said if we were rich and I wanted to stay home and just have babies that would be fine). I still waver a little bit, can't really decide. I had the sort of afternoon thinking of all the things I would do differently with a second baby and all the things that K and I could do together if I was home during the week - then we had a night of bad coughing and minimal sleep so all baby thoughts went out the window!!
The doc thinks she might have croup (well done Trill) - of course she didn't cough while we were there and refused to have her throat looked at. She seems to be managing all right so far. She just did a half day at school today and we're having a nice quiet time at home. I'm being inundated with bowls of yogurt and cups of tea!
Hope everyone else is well.

Cally, hope K is feeling better soon
We have finally had some toilet training success!!! The other day W didn't want a nappy so I let him have undies instead, then the next morning he came to me with his clothes and said he was going to be "an undies boy today". We had two days of all accidents and no potty action but then today he was great - three poo's and three wee's with only one miss! I am so proud of him, he even came inside to go on the potty.
I have to say though, one of the things I find disturbing in life is boy bits sticking out of the leg hole of undies. It just looks so wrong!

Hi Girls,
Just a quick one from me..... Sorry for being so slack.
We took my dad to the hospital on Sunday thinking he had a stroke as the whole right hand side of his body was not working and it turned out to be bleeding the left hand side of his brain. He had a clot 2 cm thick and the lenght of his left hand side brain and it pushed his brain 1 1/2 cm over so that was what was giving the stroke like symptoms. He has had the clot removed and he should be getting the tube out today so he might be home next week he is now feeling better ......Sorry for the TMI. OMG what more can possibly happen to me...... this year is **** so far....
will BBL to catch up with you all.
-
I saw your FB status and wondered what happened. I hope that he has a smooth recovery and he is home again soon
-
Leanne, at least your dad didn't have a stroke, his recovery will be much better. Sorry your year isn't going very well so far.
OMGoodness, is it possible for a kid to toilet train in one day?? Today W used the potty 11 times today with no accidents. I don't even need to remind him, he will just say he needs to go and takes himself there to do it, even if we are playing outside. We even went to mothers group with undies and he stayed dry. I am amazed!
What do I do if we are out somewhere though? We are planning to go out on the boat over the weekend but have no idea what to do about the toilet. He now refuses to wear nappies, I think forcing one on him would affect his confidence about it because he is so proud of himself and keeps saying he doesn't need to wear nappies anymore and he can wear undies all the time etc.
-
Arte- let him pee over the side of the boat- he will love it! i know my dh does ;)
leemar- hope your dad is ok
JImmy started taking a few steps last night. we are so excited, he gets the proudest look on his face, he's so happy to be a big boy
-
Hi girls,
Leanne: wow, that must of been terrifying for all of you  i hope that he recovers speedily xx
Ginger: wow, i cannot believe that little J is walking! gosh!
Arte: i'm ginger...off the side of the boat lol! unless you really wanna bring a potty on the boat....could get *interesting* lol.
Cally: i too hope that K gets better soon and you guys can get a good nights rest. sleep deprivation is the pits.
AFM: all good here. Leila is starting to also get the hang of TT. they have been doing inroads at kindy and it appears that she likes the competition of the other kids...so we are pretty happy with it all so far. although that said we did have an accident yesterday afternoon with a wee as she was too invovled in her game of dollies. ah well, baby steps and all!

Hi Girls,
Ginger- OMG Jimmy walking gosh time flys.
Art- WTG William on the toilet training. thats awesome
Thanks girls, Dad now has all the tubes out and he has now been moved out of high dependancy room to a normal room. Yep very glad it wasnt a stroke.

that's relieving news Leanne!
-
Leanne - that is a relief - wishing hima quick recovery
G - cant blieve the little rockstar is walking... i bet he will have a real swagger soon LOL! post some new pics of your gorgeous boys - i bet J has grown up so much
Clare - how are you feeling? cant believe you are 16 wks already, are you going to find out the gender at your 20 wk scan?
I wonder how Isadora is doing - miss you!
AFM all is ok - having a rather tough time of it atm to be honest, the return to work is much harder than i remembered and little J has been unwell. so we have had no sleep - he refuses all milk, solids etc all day at creche - so then i am expressing at work (and it is all wasted) and then feeding him all night. he is up every 1.5 - 2 hrs onight... anyway it is getting too hard to manage - i am v emotional, run down etc. i have called and arranged a MACH nurse to spend some time w us at home on monday to come up with some strategies to help break the feed/sleep association (which is just at night) and help us to get him to drink in the day (from anything...). lets hope she has some mahgic solutions for me!
woprk is going well - it is a huge position and i am soooo busy, but i do like to be that way and i love it (lucky since the familial transition is so hard!). i was just thinking i cant believe at this pt iw as thinking about ttc again w Noah... there is NO WAY i am ready yto go again now... i think a much longer break will be in order before we ttc again... i am thinking 3-5 yrs....
mum i sbabysitting this arvo and i am taking DH out for our anniversary... we are seeing a movie in gold class...
-
Leanne- great to hear hun
MP- yes the rockstar has a right little swagger, he's so funny! i got some gorgeous photos of them done, but i don't know how to put them in the gallery?
best of luck with the MCHN. i honestly don't know how you face the day at work after being woken ever 2hrs overnight. i struggle to face going to the park when i'm sleep deprived!
how are you enjoying melbourne? we are loving melb atm, i don't know what it is exactly but ever since we 'got over' our move to sydney we just feel really settled and happy in melb.
well i'm being a real domestic goddess tonight and cooking a roast LOL mamapan you would be proud!
-
Hi girls!
Ginger: oh la la! i would love a roast right now (hint hint LOL!).
MP: hopefully the MACH nurse will be able to come up with some good ideas. but remember there are more options if what they say doesnt sit right IYKWIM. there are private lactation and parenting consultants to fall back on as well (obviously they cost...especially Pinky McKay!!) but they can also be an option... you guys have gone through MASSIVE changes lately from the move (never underestimate the massive life change of that), loss of dearly loved ones and new positions with new people/practices etc. try not to expect too much from yourself in terms of feeling happy and content IYKWIM. it will come once you guys all find a new rythmn...and you will, i promise
i also cannot believe that i am 16 weeks! where did that go?! yeah we will be finding it out! but the name will be kept a secret...gotta have some suprises LOL! also i ssooo dont want family etc to tell me they hate the name LOL! (this happened with Leila and i was livid lol!).
-
Thanks for the kind words - I need them at the moment
It is a private nurse coming so I hope she will be open to my thoughts on what I am ok to do - it does sound that way. I tried to contact pinky as I wanted her but she has never gotten back to me :-(
Yum on the roast - I made sausage rolls today. V easy and a hit!!
Was so great to get out to the movies - we needed the time out
-
what movie did you see MP?
-
MP, I hope you can get some help with J, must be very stressful.
Ginger, your bank balance must be very happy you didn't have a girl. I hate shopping with a passion yet there are so many girls clothes that I could happily buy - you would bankrupt yourself!
Clare, sucks even more when people ewww the name after the baby is born. Happened to me with Amelia (by my mum!)
I went shopping all day today and W stayed home with DH. He has had 3 accident free days in a row which is great since he only started TT 4 days ago. He is very conscience about it and will happily leave in the middle of a game/meal if he needs to go. Does it usually happen like this?
-
arte- i've started buying stuff for my friend's daughters! i can't help myself. i just see the most beautiful little dresses and pretty little things when i'm shopping. the girls' stuff is so pretty! i bought a country road dress for my friend's dd the other day. the highlight of my week this week is that my friend and i are goimg shopping to buy a first birthday present for another friend's dd. look out oobi!!!
-
LMAO Ginger! Ummm...you probably shouldn't look at Isadora's FB status....
