Cass, the Wed night funnies usually repeat on Thurs night on ABC2 or you should be able to see them on iview. I think the vaccs hurt more when you get a really strong immune response....might mean you've had a recent exposure or your immune system was already right across it, kwim?

Ginger, I'm always paranoid next to lakes and ponds too. Or the parks/playgrounds that have that line of fencing to lull you into a false sense of security but the kids can just go to the end of the fence LOL.

Well I've just changed my work days and I've now got Fridays off YAY! I'm still working same number of hours but it's so nice to get to Thurs and the working week is over. Having my hair and brows done tomorrow...yannow, gotta be looking tidy in case those Oprah cameras roll up to my front door :rofl:.

Warning whinge ahead: I am over being sick. I spewed in the gutter between myer and melb central today. Not pretty. I think 4 kids is off the cards, it's just too hard. I can't do this again, maybe I'm soft, but I'm over it!

On the upside both girls crashed before 7, so hauled up on the couch. :)

i told you the other day we were originally going to have 3 but have changed our minds to 2 now. i this parenting gig think is a lot harder than anticipated!

md- what is with the straight line of fencing thing? absolutely does my head in! what is the point? j just walks all the way along it until it stops then goes around. what a waste of time.

:hugs: JM, sorry to hear you're doing it tough with the MS. Have you tried the Ginger+B6 cure? The WCH here did a study and found that it helps right across all MS severities.

Ginger, I didn't realise you were originally pitching for 3? Never say never though, my GF who's eldest is the same age as my DD1 is now pg with her 4th...bigger gaps for 3 and 4 than 1 and 2. I guess though, you need to feel like you have 'capacity'. I know for certain I don't have 'capacity' for more than one littley at once. But I did need to get past Missy E's babyhood/weaning in order for that prolactin-cluckiness to die down :lol:

JM, don't rule out ever having 4. Maybe give yourself a bigger gap between this bub and the next. I know I couldn't have had the 4 of them all so close either. And you've had a hell of a lot on your plate health-wise with this bub too so it's no wonder you are feeling so craptastic :hug:

G, the girls were like that - I had to watch them like a hawk if we were anywhere near water and it always made my day out very stressful while everyone else just seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thankfully A isn't as bad, otherwise it would make water skiing this summer a nightmare.

i'm another water worrier. but i still have vivid memories of when i was 2 and tried to go swimming in the neighbours pool all by myself...

Not much happening here. 2nd day in a row with no day sleep here, I guess I am lucky it has lasted as long as it has.

md- did you hear about all those people that had their oprah offer retracted. apparantley it was a big computer generated mistake. how heartbreaking though if you were told you were going and then told you weren't?!!

Oz: we too are dabbling in the land of no day sleeps. she seems to go for a few days without them, and then a week or so with them again. i thought for awhile that she was ready to go without, but lately she is hitting a wall at 1pm and is just horrid. i guess there is some growing going on!

and another quick question...we are having food issewes...(never thought that i would have to write this!). Leila just doesnt want to eat. of course she is getting 'enough'. but that is in reality a bite or two of breakfast, lunch and dinner. this morning she only took 4 mouthfuls of cereal. yesterday at lunch i praised the gods that she ate a quarter of a sandwich. i dont want to get all fixated but it is worrying me. i have taken to feeding her myself at times (i am hypothesising that she is just 'too busy' to notice hunger) and that works for a limited time, but i am just amazed and slightly worried that she is not eating enough beyond basic survival (laughs nervously). DH and i worried as this kind of coinicides with her lack of energy and bad moods...arrgh! these kids keep us guessing!

hhhmmm not too sure how to help with that one cass- but i can tell you that one of my girlfriends is going through exactly the same thing atm with her dd. her dd will eat whatever i give her though- she was at my house the other day and i was feeding her up! and her mum was shocked at how much she was eating. maybe it's an age thing idk?

Cass- i really wouldn't worry too much. I think sometimes kids need less than we think, today she had 1 weetbix for breaky, no lunch, some cheese for arvo tea and hopefully dinner, but if she doesn't like it she will just not eat it and then ask for milk. So i tell her no dinner no milk! But she is certainly not fading away. She went through a really bad phase, but seems to be a bit better atm. Hopefully this is just a phase for L too.

Have you tried new and exciting foods? Things she doesn't always get? Or food presented in a different way? Like star shaped cheese on toast or something?! What about fruit and/or veg smoothies with yoghurt?

I know Lu always eats more when she's eating at other peoples houses..... i think she had about 5 donuts at G's place. :lol:

she did have 5 donuts. 3 pink ones and 2 chocolate ones LOL

Oz, yes, W was the only one with slugs. There were a few dogs and cats, a chook and a lamb. Miss A was all over everything like a rash!

You guys should all just count yourselves lucky that you still get day naps!!

JM, that must suck being so sick with the kids to look after. Have you told your parents yet? I remember doing the rubbish bin chuck every time I walked past a Subway shop.

Cass, in an average day W eats bugger all. We have taken to giving him an all milk Milo or two in the morning just so he has something. Like L he was not eating tea and then asking for a milk but we canned that because then the was no incentive to eat anything (and it made him wet the bed). I don't worry about it because he eats when he is hungry, just not very much. I am sure he will eat more when he gets bigger. I took a photo of the kids in the bath the other day and you can see all of his ribs and his spine, while Miss A is sitting there with rolls on her rolls lol.

MD, I have been meaning to say that your current haircut looks really good on you (from the pic of you holding the photo of Oprah)

Ginger, 34 degrees! It was mid twenties here the other day and I nearly died! I wish I could live in perpetual spring.

thanks girls for your food insights, it seems that we are all going through some sort of non food movement :think:. i remember my mum going on for years about how i didnt eat and i do remember being really really fussy. food just didnt interest me ITMS. i liked food, but didnt find it interesting enough to hold my attention lol. now on the other hand.......

JM and G would you guys be up for a catch up in Gs part of the neighbourhood this sunday?? DH and I have a free day and a lunch at the yarra glen pub is calling me......:pray: that you girls arent too popular lol! otherwise mebbe next wednesday???? yes, i am begging lol!
