depo provera and bleeding (TMI)

vitex is a herbal supplement you can get from the chemist. Blackmores do it but there are few other brands as well... when i went to the chemist the other day the lady that served me ironically said she was taking it and her AF had just showed up the other day after about one month of taking it. its used to regulate your cycle and help reduce menstrual symptoms. I am not taking it yet though, thought id wait n see what the tests show and get my dr's advice based on results whether it is the right one i need to take IYKWIM.... its reasonably priced at $14-15 for 60 tabs i think?? why did you need to see a gyno jesabell??

i havent seen the gyno yet but i think the doctors done as much as he can and i think he wants the gyno to take it further .i havent had a proper period since jan this year then they stopped for a couple of months and when they finally came back all it is spotting and that can lasts for three weeks sometimes its really annoying u dont know when there coming and when they do come im spotting for ages .

Yeah can understand that jesabell.. i have been lucky i havent even had spotting yet (cross fingers) LOL ... i am not really looking forward to when my AF's start again but not knowing whether i am ovulating or not is starting to drive me up the wall :lol: i have brought one of those saliva tester thingees and all i get is dots.... grrrrr have also started taking temperature in the morning upon rising but charting it well that is so damn confusing lol .... do gyno's know all about charting or is that a job of a specialist?... i have no idea lol

hey jes, just phoned the docs to find out results of my bloods - well my PG test anyway... was told to call back after 2pm today as another doc is checking mr dr lab results whilst he is away .... i am anxious to know, i am pretty sure im not but might get a surprise.... today i have pain in my left side .... heres hopin it might be the start of my cycle coming back....:pray: ... same, let me know how you get on when you do go and see your gyno, can we send private messages on this site, if so let me know how i have no idea lol

hey jes, forgot to call dr back yesterday got tied up but called this arvie and PG result was negative..... which i expected. have to wait now until the 10th for the other blood results.... now i know what the TWW must be like for woman eager to know if they are pregnant or not .... good to hear your cycle is coming back to normal but yeah what is "normal" lol

yeah but i had this on and off bleeding now for three weeks im a bit over it but yeah least it like a period now.oh well maybe next time thats the thing for the last couple of months i keep on thinking maybe im pregnant because im not getting my period .im taking my little girl to the docs tomrw so i am going to ask him about this bleeding i will let u know

sorry i forgot to ask got caught up with asking about my daughter .i didnt even think to ask hes going on hoildays for a week i will have to wait till he comes back so i can go and see him about me .but yeah my spotting has turnrd into a real period so maybe your body just needs time to readjust .who knows its only been a couple of days it might change again

hey jes just wondering how often do you have to get the depo shot i had mine 8 weeks ago and have been brakthrough bleeding now the the last 4 weeks ive also noticed other symtems mention in this forum i dont want to get the next shot should i go on the pill now or should i wait till the next shot is due. i know i should have asked at the time of getting the shot but i had i done at the same time 8 week old bubs had vaccinations so i was a little busy with her

kittykat, my opinion i wouldnt be getting the 2nd shot... take yourself off it while you can and find another alternative.... i has totally screwed my cycle and i only had the one shot back in sep last year. I am still waiting for AF to return.... i dont know how you would go about going back on the pill because you need to know when your true period is starting you may be like me and not get it back for a few months now., best thing would be to talk to your GP ... spotting is not a true period.... jes, i went and had a massage yesterday and i talked to her about my situation (as she is a naturopath too, gonna come in handy i think lol) she has given me some pills like multi-vitamins and funnily enough they have a little bit of that vitex i was telling you about in them.... i was going to buy them the other day but she said for my situation it would be best to wait and see what the blood results show ie what i am defecit in and then go from there... i asked her about accunpunture she said yes it can be very beneficial so might give that a go too once i know what is going on, no harm in trying (and the best thing i can claim this all back on health insurance lol) so i am feeling alot better today about it all.... she seems to think my progesterone levels will be low..... so now i am really curious, as much as this sorta stuff gets me down its quite interesting too lol.... yeah i know im weird.... haha i hope your AF is not giving you too much of a hard time.... one more week to wait for me..... :)

kittykat i agree dont get another shot ive only had the one last year and my cycle slowing coming back.but all this time ive been spotting yeah i go and talk to your gp.hey sasha hopefully when your bloods come back they will give you an answer all mine were fine when i got mine back.well its been abot a month since i have bleeding at first it was like normal hardly anything just spotting but lately its been so haevy now i just want it to stop .at first i couldnt wait to get a period now i dont want it i would try anything if its going to get your body back to normal and yeah youre not weird it is interesting.i just hope you get some answers anyway its not that long now .

yeah not long.... the weeks are just flying by! i start work again tomorrow and before i know it it will be thursday again and i will be on my two days off again (fri/sat).... sorry to hear your AF is heavy i am dreading mine will be the same when it does return... being a fitness instructor it will be a very testing time IYKWIM lol ..... the main reason why i got depo is so that i didnt have to go thru the AF thing every month, nothing worse than having to teach when you have AF im telling ya! lol....

i know they dont even have any idea what we go through . you know i had no idea that heaps of other woman are having the same problems after depo they should give out warnings or say these are some side affects that might happen .Cause if someone told me i wouldnt got it see im a stage where i dont know if im having anymore children at the moment my four girls are enough.
