depo provera and bleeding (TMI)

i say u have to wait till u get your period .you might only get spotting it was ages i think five months before i started getting my period back .thats if u call it a period .hopefully you get yours back without the spotting .i know im keeping an eye on it i cant see my doc until next week hes on hoildays .im so glad somethings happening for u chat soon

hey jes, well this morning i woke to barely nothing at all :( who knows it might start up again later today but at least its a sign my body is trying to regulate itself.... 5 more sleeps until my blood results... now i am excited and am a bit relieved at the fact now its started that bloods will show it is just simply a lack of progesterone??...well thats what im thinking anyway... have you tried taking that vitex supplement?.. maybe you should try it? i reckon that has helped for me.

no i havent i should go and buy some .that sucks but thats what happen to me one month i get some spotting then the next month i get nothing and then it come back again i wish my body would just hurry up and fix it self im so over it.hopefully it does i dont think i could handle this for much longer im so tired .ITS BECAUSE MY STUPID BODY WONT STOP BLEEDING LAST NIGHT I GOT EXCITED IT STOPPED FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS I THOUGHT HOORAY ITS OVER BUT NO ITS BACK AGAIN THIS MORNING.

don't mean to crash your thread, but I'm kinda in the same boat as you girls (only half way between the no AF and then heavy bleeding long term). WOndered if I could join in. We're TTC and I'm just so over this.....

Thank you ladies. Well I'm getting a four day period every 10 days or so - tops! NOT!!! The first one I thought I'd gotten lucky and it was an implant - bit wiser no and realised I don't think I'm O'ing...

Hooray Jes, thats awesome news! Mine has too :( as you say its probably going to be that annoying brown s**t that decides to come and go when it pleases.

KIm, I am like you assuming I am not O'ing.... i started to take my temperatures just to see if there was much variance and my temps the past month have stayed around the same each day, if they have gone up its only like by 0.2-0.3. The past three days have all been 36.6... strange!

Oh well 2 more sleeps and my doc will be able to explain it to me.. i am looking forward to it... i have come to the conclusion that really when you think about it the woman's body is an amazing thing... all the processes that need to happen we are truly remarkable arent we hahaha

My appt is first up tuesday morning 9:15am.I am working till 830 tuesday night so I will post when I get home... hope you are having a good weekend ladies.... chat soon

im just wondering when is it going to come back because it lasted a month surely my bodys going to have a break before it comes back again .hope so

My body has eased off, hardly anything through today while I was at work so I guess its a waiting game now to see how things pan out.
Still havent had a proper "bleed" as yet so I have to assume my body has started the "spotting" stage again :(

ive got to wait till hes back from hoildays which i think he comes back tommorow i ring and check tom .hopefully he can give me some answers i just sick of not knowing when it is comingand im always scared its going to be heaps and people would see i just had a nightmare the other day about it .not long now sash i will be thinking of u that day lets us know what he says

hey Jes, well not alot to report. Doc is happy with all my levels. Said everything is "normal". :clap: I told him about my "spotting" and he seemed to think that that was AF. He worked out that if that is the case I should have something similar happen around the 1st August. He wants me to wait and observe and if I dont get full bleeding then to make an appointment to see him again to get a referral for an ultrasound.

He said if the 4th was the start of AF (even though i didnt actually bleed) then i should ovulate about the 14th.. so just gonna BD now each night and hopefully that will cover it :lol: so in another period now of just "waiting".... bloody frustrating I tell ya!

Am not getting all stewed up over it, that is the worst thing you can do..... everyone is telling me "the more you think about it the less likely it is to happen" so DH and I are planning to take some time off in the couple of months.... its all good, I know it will happen when it is meant too....

ok least u your doctor explained it to u so everytime ive been spotting its been my af so i had it all this time.ok which sounds about right because it usually started the same time each month when it did come.no bleeding surely not anyway i just bleed for a couple of weeks.im not on anything like contraception so if i had my af all this time its a wonder im not pregnant i shouldnt speak so soon i could be pg now.:dunno:

Yeah I love my doctor, he is so good!

I thought this morning probably why the reason I didnt have a proper bleed (red) is because there is not much to shed. If I am correct, the depo shot stops the uterine wall from building up each month hence why I only got the brown stuff. So the next few cycles shall be very interesting....

no next week my kids are still home theres no use in taking them i wouldnt hear a thing.im good busy and tired my little one is getting up nearly everynight .shes teething at the moment.my eldest turned 12 on wednesday i feel so old im only 31 but she makes me feel old.its amazing how quick they grow up.anyway sorry im rambling how are u any signs of your af yet.i think i might be getting my again getting cramps really down low.surely it cant be it was only a copule of weeks ago i had them.

I Haven't waded through all the replies yet, I just wanted to reply to the very first post. I hated depo! After my first shot I had a 3 month period! Then my period would come every 2 months and last 10 days. It was lighter than normal but lasted so much longer. It' took a year after I stopped taking it before my body returned to normal. I would never in a million years take it again.

hey sash somethings going on im getting funny cramos really low and i feel sick and tired and last night in the shower my boobs hurt .did a test came back neg or maybe my cycle is coming back probably who knows.i thought i wait till the second week in august to do another test cause thats when my af is due well i had them same time last month and and if it is still neg then i go and see doc anyway just letting you know whats going on chat soon

hey Jes, sorry havent been online for about a week ... been busy. As for me well I am due for AF around the 1st Aug according to my doc. U/S for me this month if I dont have a proper bleed i.e red stuff so I am hoping it will happen :crossfingers:

I am thinking Af is on track to start next week though as today my bb's are a bit sensitive, which is strange as i never used to notice that sorta thing lol... i took my temp this morning and it had dropped to 37.4 ... so i am not holding out much hope for a +ve this month oh well, try and try again they say! lol

Sorry to hear that your body seems the same, you poor thing. It would be hard to tell with you wether you are PG or not as your cycle is so outta wack :( I would probably wait like you said, do a HPT and if it was still -ve book in to see the doc and get it thoroughly checked out.

my cycle has just finished, thank goodness! Only lasted 4 days, I was very surprised as I was expecting it to be longer of course under the circumstances.

Probably going to chart one more cycle before we actually get serious about ttc. Thinking October we will start trying seriously. Wanna just get my body right first so will chart another cycle. It is our wedding anniversary in October and for some strange reason I just have this feeling I will fall PG then.

hey Jes, sorry to hear you are still bleeding. If it was me, I would seeing a doctor - it has gone on wayyyy too long. I can totally understand how you feel, I would be a little worried to tell you the truth. Make an appointment to see your dr as soon you can hun and dont let them stop until you get to the bottom of why it has gone on for so long. October 17th this year will be our 3rd wedding anniversary. We are probably going to go up to the Sunshine Coast for a couple of days just to get away and have a change of scenery :) When you go to the dr let me know how you get on ok.... take care of yourself

dont worry i am a little concerned everytime i get my af it last for weeks im just so sick of it and then u dont know when its coming again .lucky you we havent had a hoilday in ages think i need one lately though especially with everything going on lately not just this im having trouble with my 12 yr old at the moment shes mentally draining me .im definately going this week i will let u know

hey sasha sorry i havent been on ive been sick ive still got my af and the doc says ive got a pelvis infection so the antiboditics should make my af stop he hasnt so far hopefully it does by tommorow or he says i have to go to hospital i feel a little bit better today so im crossing my fingers thats a good sign .anyway how are u havent heard from u hope u are well

My body is still a bit screwed up. Had AF on the 1st september then on the 18th september started another cycle????? very strange!

i was getting worried about you my body been messes up lately firstly i had my af for 37 days then it stopped for about a week then it came back again for 15 days and havent any for about 12 days now
and thankgod i dont think i could have coped with it anymore .the gyno put me on the pill because my cycles out of whack and my uterus linning isnt thick like it should be when you have a period.so at the moment the estrogen in the pill is hopefully building the linning of the uterus he said it should take a couple of cycles .its been a nightmare
