It really doesn't bother me whether they are fake or not. I just want to be able to squish DH's head in amongst my boobies
I can't wait
Sorry TD, i didn't word it right. I mean im not sure how i would be with them in there? It's really hard to explain! It's not the fact that they are fake, more like it's something there that wasn't there before, KWIM? I would honestly love to get them though.
I am not to sure of the size i want but i would love to fit into a C cup.
As for the maitenace side of things, a male freind told me im silly, as you need to replace them in 10 years?? i asked the secretary of the surgeon and she said that ladies have had them in for 20+ years with no problams.
And i know what you mean about being embarressed TD, i took the plunge the other day with a new man, and he keep telling me how nice my boobies were( without seeing them) and i told him ita all in the bra chicken fillets..so i was so horrified when the bra came off, it was like he was ripped off
i thank you all for your input, its great there is such supportive girls out there, as i thought most people would just say DONT DO IT.
appointment in 2 weeks :D
just had a look though all my old paper work and it doesnt say, I didnt have ANYTHING I was flater than a 2 year old male child  I have to go out to kindy but when I get back I will find the photos I took of before and after ( with swimmers on ;) )and post them for you so you and anyone else can get some kind of idea...
I know when I was getting them the doctor thought I wanted DD as I was getting 450 I was like NO WAY then when he looked at my chest he said I now I see you really dont have anything there do you ! Nice bedside manner there  ...
thanks Tali. I'm just trying to vision it  If you had nothing and had 450mls implants and went to a big B-small C, then my 420mls with the already 200mls, = 620mls, so that should even be a small D. OMG. That is great. But i'm still gonna push for 450mls. If the dr agrees, that's another story.
I hear you about how the dr's approach your boobies at the consult. Mine was very anxious about touching them at all. He just lifted them slightly and said "my, you do have some sagginess", and i thought "no sh*t, really?" They are very subtle about the subject aren't they
Cougs - i think boobies = womanly. I had to argue with my DH in getting them. I told them if tranny's can get them, then i am entitled to them as i am a female. I also argued the point to him that YOUR kids made my boobies this damn ugly. They were small, yes, but were perky at least. You have to let me know how your appt goes.
49 days to go
well i must admit, i really cant wait to see the doctor and book in for the op..im going to the gold coast in january so i might be able to fill out the swimsuit i have on layby..oh ***** maybe my boobies might be too big for it now
oh well, i guess you have to buy a bikini now ;)
TD are you getting done locally or travelling into the City?
Hi,
I had implants put in 5 years ago when i was 23. Mine are silicone gel and are placed behind the chest muscle as i am only a thin build. My incision is in the fold of the breast underneath and my scars are quite thin. I went from struggling to fit an a cup to a nice c cup. The best thing i ever did in my life. I had them done at Adelaide Plastic Surgery Association by Dr Peter Syladis. I took in pictures off the internet of before and afters of other people to show him what size i wanted. Afterwards i had a bad reaction to the anaestetic and some stinging but got by on just panadol and nurophen. I had to have someone help me lay down and get up from bed for the first week and a half. I was told that unless you have a car accident or fall down stair or something similar they should last for 20 years. I have had no complicationa st all over the past 5 years.
Mine were quite firm to start with but now they are softer. Not as soft as natural breast tissue. When i lay down they feel harder than when upright. When i lay in bed now they ever run away a little like normal breasts. If i didnt tell people they wouldnt be able to tell by looking. My dh loves them.
Just wanted to wish you girls luck with your boobies!! Mine have always been pretty decent-sized but after 2 pregnancies and BFing a baby, it takes a heck of a lot of padding and underwire to keep them looking perky instead of pointing at my knees :/ Dh wouldn't mind me getting them fixed up but he balks at the cost of them, and for me personally, my saggy belly and flabby upper arms are much more of a concern than my boobs - at least I can wear good bras and they look great - there's not a lot I can do to hide my awful arms and gut!
Might consider a boob job later on though so this thread is good for future reference :D
Hey Maddy - how many mls were yours, do you know? Are silicone boobiesclassed by mls as are saline ones?
Raven - I'm getting mine done by Dr. David Ross at Peninusla Private Hospital in Frankston.
Glamourcide- can i interest you in a tummy tuck? :p
I have no idea how silicone gel ones are measured cos its not really liquid. I would imagine by weight. Im not even sure where all my information is to look it up sorry.
I wonder if having the breast cancer gene and a mastectomy would be considered a "medical reason"? and if so how much would you be rebated then?
Im not sure about medical rebates but my surgery was $8000 and i got a little over $1000 back in my tax.
Bath im pretty sure a mastectomy would be a medical reason to get new boobs!
i think i would only want a boob lift.. but then again my belly button would get lonely..
But if the mastectomy was voluntary... not because you had cancer... only because you have the gene...
If I have a gene test and find out I have the BC gene I might be able to be rebated IYKWIM?
But if she got tested and had the gene, then she would have to have a mastectomy before having implants and that would be a huge surgery.
My surgeon checked me for any lumps at my first consultation. If there is anything that need to be checked out they wont operate til you get the all clear.
