Since having my boys my period has been really, really heavy. I flood a super tampon in an hour. Anybody else have similar issues?

I actually had the opposite happen. After having 3 kids, my periods were very light. What you're experiencing doesn't sound normal at all. I think you should see a dr.
After Spock was born my period changed. I get 1 or 2 days of insane heaviness, and then a few days of just spotting, like it all tries to come out in one go. Before babies it was medium for a week.
Yep, I had this problem when my periods returned after not menstruating for a long time due to medical treatment. Dr did some blood tests & concluded that it was an imbalance in the oestrogen/progestogens. While I still had oestrogen kicking around I wasn't ovulating which meant that the uterus lining got especially thick & juicy before breaking down. Eventually it normalised a bit although I still have the occasional shocker.
If it continues this way, it's worth seeing the dr to check everything is ok, but it may just be the way it is. If you're finding managing the bleeding is too difficult, there is medication (cyklokapron) which slows it down (but I'm warning you, it made me fart something awful LOL) so don't be afraid to ask your dr for something if you need it.
Thanks for your insights ladies . This period I had 2-3 days of the really heavy bleeding then it has slowed right down. I can have none, then bleed for a little while, then none again. I'll keep monitoring it and if it's still the same in Jan I'll get to the Dr
