I'm glad George is doing well.
I have only spoken briefly to Michelle today as when I called she was on her way to (drum roll) have her first cuddle!!!! :leap: :cheer: :leap: :cheer:
So, going by that things are still good. She sounded excitied and I'll have you all know that Aunty Deb had a little weep of happiness at the news!!!

I have spoken to Michelle today - we had a lovely long chat. She's very very sore (the c/section was not your average burger and fries delivery :cry:) but very very happy that she is getting her cuddles with her baby at last. She is due for another snuggle now where she is loving drinking him in.
Her milk production is great - helped by Georgies big sister Lily who is LOVING all the milk. Michelle shared that Lily was lying down kicking her legs eagerly waiting for Mama to give her her boobies!
So, George of course is all warmed up now, enjoying Mama. Slowly he will come off his meds and then they will begin to feed at the breast and see how that goes. Little steps but massive ones for Michelle and George to be cuddling. The best thing for them both right now. I know that feeling so well where your arms just ache to hold that beautiful baby. Finally he is in her arms & I have no doubt this will be healing for him & I know it is for Michelle.
Keep those candles alight (just so you know Michelle my candle hasn't gone out since your admission to hospital!!), keep your prayers, Energy and Love focused on our beautiful friend and her little boy who is working so hard to be home with his family. :hug:
All my positive thoughts to you and your bbs Michelle!! LOL, don't think I would say that about many women. ;) I bet Lily and George are both loving your milk, how clever are you?!

Well I've had a couple of lovely long talks to Michelle today - the latest was her phone call telling me the wonderful wonderful wonderful news that Georgie boy is going to be rooming in with his Mama from tomorrow!!!! :leap: All going well they are perhaps looking at going home, yes home! On Saturday... :leap: I have had a happy happy cry at this wonderful news - Michelle reminds me that George is only 1 week today - & I have to admit this is one of the longest weeks of my life! (in comparison of course to Michelle it's nothing).
So, after a scary beginning George is suckling beautifully - his attatchment his proud Mama says is the best out of all her babies. :cheer: He is a little monkey giving us all such frights but he has come along so very beautifully.
I am so overwhelmingly ecstatic for you my beautiful friend. I am still crying happy tears - this little boy has certainly rocked your world and all those who love you! He has eyes so deep and knowing & I have no doubt he is to be your beacon through the pain of losing your Greg.
Caitlyn has brought her clouds here today - maybe just maybe she's letting me know that her Georgie Boy is safe again!
Michelle I feel like I am babbling but I KNOW the emotions that only a Mama who has been to deaths edge with her child can know - tomorrow he is going to be with you and the beginning of your "normal" can commence! Finally he will feel like he is really yours, he will smell like a Moore-Cox & your kids can cuddle him close.
Tonight George will have his first bath - a grand affair with all his family present! :cheer:

Michelle You're gorgeous darling boy has come so very far during this past week. He is truly a little miracle boy who is loved by so many including us in this house. I have shown my DH all the precious photos of George and we have cried many tears both the sad sort and the happy sort and I'm sure tonight when he hears this absolutely wonderful news we'll be crying some more happy tears as I am as I post this.
I'm so proud of you and your courageous boy. Enjoy your 1st time rooming in together.
