Mrs Dex - THAT IS SO EXCITING!!!! OMG -your nuchal scan next week. You must just be beside yourself. I think that they are truly the best. You get to see bubs in profile/silouhette plus spine, arms, legs, hands, feet, heart, brain - it is just so cool. Also your due date might be adjusted then based on the measurements made during the scan. And the other best part - you get to take some piccies home! oh I am so excited for you.
I am so glad that people were excited for you and the "squabbling" has begun for the baby shower duties.
How far along is your BF now? Time can pass so slowly. Has she got a virus or is it a mixture of pregnancy sickness and anxiety?
Glad you have some time off... You should have more I say.... if only for a very selfish reason that I would get to talk to you more.
How is work?
How is your DH going with the pregnancy as it advances? is he going to the nuchal scan with you? I think for men, the nuchal scan makes everything much more real.
I wouldn't expect you to be showing yet? Are you? I am a lot more, but I still think the "lazy bump" is more prominent than the baby bump. I can't believe I have turned into a sedentary person. One of the sad things for me, is whilst I am quite excited and hopeful about this pg, most of the people around me, except for DH are not. They say things like, "do you think its ok to buy something for the baby?" or "it's too early to start making things" or I sent you a card congratulating you on the pg and I won't be doing that again". I tell them to go ahead, they should make this baby feel welcome, but each time they say it a little part of my heart is crushed. I understand where they are coming from, and I suppose they don't need the excitment or hope to get them through every day. Like grief, its sometimes harder to deal with others than it is to deal with yourself. Have to say though my ob has been a champion. Quietly reassuring and confident and always reassuring without being extravagant or falsely positive.
Anyway, don't tire yourself out too much with the housework frenzy.
Thinking of you - lots. Big belly rubs to your little one.

Hi Dory, Hi Mrs Dex
I hope you don't mind me popping in! I was having a sticky beak read through this thread last night and wanted to type in a 'Hello' but I was quite tired by the time I got to the end of it all and Hubby was almost finished watching his movie so I called it a night.
I think you two are wonderful people, you have both been through so much and I am so happy that you have found each other to talk to about your experiences. I think you both have tremendous strength and I wish you both the best of luck for your pregnancy.
I have to say, I can't wait to join you on the pregnancy journey. As you may remember Dory, we lost our son not so long ago. It is a tough journey, but I am looking forward to starting again.
I don't want to go into the details here to much of what happened, because I only want to send you guys positive sticky vibes.
I would love to fall pregnant right away, and being that I'm not using any contraception atm that could happen, but I'm not sure how others will take it. My doc might tell me off lol. He told us to wait maybe 6 months, I nearly cried when he said that. The doc then said to wait 6 weeks until the bleeding had stopped and we find out the results from all the tests that were done, and maybe we could reduce the waiting time. But in the mean time he won't give me a prescription for the pill. I'm back into a normal cycle already. I only bled for just under 2 weeks after I delivered and my last period was only 3 days late and seemed fairly normal. I did have some really really bad pains one morning in particular but they didn't last long after taking some pain killers and there was no bleeding at that time. I still don't have the results from the tests that were done from the delivery. I have another 7 days to wait for the results. But they did ask for an ultrasound after those pains and everything seems fine and I am feeling fairly normal.
Ok I think I have dribbled enough words onto the page for now lol, once again, I hope you don't mind me popping in. Take care.
Danni.
-
Gemini - heya - good to hear from you. It's never easy huh? So much pain, so many questions, some unanswered.
Good to hear your cycles are back on track. I was lucky after Amelia. We were going to have a post mortem but in the end decided against it. Dr was really supportive of that decision and of us trying again soon. If I had had to wait for results, then it would have been so hard, because the desire at that time, was to start trying again immediately, but balance against that would have been the need to have more information in case complications could be prevented in the future. My cycles came back quite quickly.
We waited to try again after Sophie ( I have just worked it out it was only about 3 months we waited, it felt like so much longer than that!). I really needed time to heal physically and emotionally and both DH and I were unsure of what we wanted to do, except mourn our babies.
There are no hard and fast "rules" on waiting, its a combination of factors - your cycle, your body being healed if there was trauma, getting the results of any testing and investigations, but most importantly, being emotionally strong enough to experience another pregnancy. It's a lot tougher than I thought it would be. A lot of the people tcc go crazy in the 2 week wait ( and I was one of those too) but then the pregnancy becomes a reality and it is so exciting, because it is what you want, but it is so so so unbelievably scary at the same time. The fear can be debilitating at times and 40 weeks is a lot longer than 2 weeks. Honestly I am pretty lucky, my really desolate and tough days are few and far between, but it is a very long journey and it is very demanding. It's worth it, but its the toughest thing I have done. I can only imagine how tough it must be if those desolate days where the fear takes over happened more often...
Having a late loss also makes the next pg harder ( not because you grieve any less as a loss is a loss) but more in that it takes a lot longer in time to get to your "vodoo" dates. Most women feel some sense of relief when they pass that vodoo date. Some not as much. Its longer to wait to get to 20 weeks than say 8, is all I am saying.
So sweetie - lots to think about in trying again. You'll know when you are ready.
And I don't think you dribbled on to the page - what you had to say was important. It's good for you to drop in Dexy is so busy these days she hardly ever pops in, so its just me talking to myself in here :) Just like the crazy old cat lady I am. ( just kidding Dexy :))
-
Hey Dory thanks for your reply.
Yeh the docs spoke to us about tests on baby but we were not that convinced we wanted to and it was decided in the end that the placenta would provide just as many answers if any. Jayden was too little, they didn't give me a measurement but he was about 10cm, he weighed just 45 grams. I have in my sig that he was 20 weeks, as thats how far along I should have been when I found out, but reality is that he was 14 weeks 2 days.
I still don't know how that happened. Next time I will be making sure that I am kept informed regularly. I had my 13 week scan at 13w3days and didn't see anyone until I went for the 20 week scan at 19w6days.
No, next time I will be requesting to see someone a lot more often than that, even if it's just to hear the heartbeat. I could never work out why the hospital did that, made a second appointment 8 weeks after my first one, when they were the ones who ordered the 13 week scan to check for risks. I wondered for a few weeks after the delivery if there was anything from that scan that may have been seen and therefore prevented if the information had got back to me. But I look at it in a way now that I cannot change what has happened.
So it's time to look forward, and hope that the doc gives us the all clear. Thursday next week is the day I will know more.
In the meantime, my son is having his first game of soccer tomorrow. He is really looking forward to it, he looks so cute in his uniform. He is just extatic. I'll have to sneak some photos before he goes out and gets all muddy and wet. Typically, it's meant to be raining tomorrow. I guess it just wouldn't be a traditional soccer game without the rain lol. I spose thats half the fun, getting rained on and sliding in the mud.
Take care Dory, Mrs Dex.

Hellllo my gorgeous ladies!
Gemini, lovely of you to drop in! & thanks so much for the kind words... I'm so sorry to hear of the heartache that brings you here & do do hope that you find all the support & love you need :comfort:
We all seem to have suffered different issues, of course all similar in their ways too. But our desires are exactly the same, making us understanding & sympathetic to everyone & anyones needs.
I personally found communicating on BB the most helpful source available, to cope, to refocus & to put my mind at ease, when surely without BB, its beautiful members & especially Dory, I would have lost it.
On that note, Dory... How are you? I found myself sitting on the couch shortly after arriving home tonight & thought.... Oh, I must drop in... I hardly get time lately! Lol!
The work day was a long one today - By lunch time I just really wanted a belly full of food & a bed for a nap. Somehow I managed to keep on keeping on & arrived home shortly after 8pm.
I COULD NOT get into 1 pair of my work pants today - I literally went to work in track suit pants! So out with the size 10 Cue slacks & in with the good old Nike trackies! Lol!
My pants were sooo uncomfortable & tight I just could not bear it & not to mention the unsightly flab that gets pushed out over the top of them because the waist is sooooo tight. Eeeeewww! But none the less, I wasnt horrifed. Just shocked that 2 days ago I fitted my pants just OK, but today was impossible! Bizzare!
I'm terribly sorry about the 'comments' you have had to deal with - Hearing those things must certainly have an effect for both you & DH. When you need all the hope & excitement you can possibly summons & someone drops 'do you think its ok to buy something?' - I imagine it does a great job of crashing whatever good thoughts & vibes you DID have on that day :( If only we could just deal with people that have had similar experiences or at least knowledge. Again, I guess that is what is so wonderful about BB... But its lovely to hear that your ob is so supportive & understanding - The world needs more of him! Especially down this way!
Well girls, I'm off to have something to eat, watch a movie with DH & prepare for DS's return tomorrow morning. After a few days at his Nan & Pops... I'm sure he will return totally charged & hypo for an eventful weekend. Personally - I can't wait! x
-
Hello Ladies,
Thought I would pop in for a quick hello.
Sounds like Mrs Dex needs some retail therapy in the maternity section!
You sound like your working long hours, I hope you look after number 1.
Dory how are you going? Hope everything is going well. Maybe still sidetracked with those Easter Eggs...
AFM it's still a waiting game til thursday
Take care!
-
Mrs Dex - ahh you're getting a baby cushion ( it's what I call the amassing of that extra padding around the middle but is not yet a defined baby bump).
I agree with Gemini - retail therapy is in order. I like the idea of going to work in trackies!
How was DS? Nice for you to get a break, nice for Nan and Pop to get to see him and good for him too, and nice to have him home again, even if it does take a few days to settle back into his home routine.
Gemini - it can be confusing. I have to say though, that sheduling of scans is at about the normal time frame - 12 weeks for nuchal and 20 weeks for morphology and it doesn't really raise any concerns on the face of it.
You are the one though that has to ask for more scans and more appointments. Don't worry about Dr's/hospitals thinking you are "crazy" - honestly it means nothing to them and gives you a great deal of comfort. Even though I say that, when I have to call and ask for a reassurance appointment, even though I know without question no one thinks I am crazy, I still have to overcome that idea in my own mind. It's weird that sometimes the thing I have to overcome sometimes is myself. BUt the reassurance appointments are when there is nothing physical wrong, just when I am anxious. I have no hestitation about calling if there is something physically wrong. I suppose i just need to go a bit easier on myself and genuinely accept that anxiety is just as relevant and important as a physical concern.
How did DS's socer game go? I love watching littlies play, because usually it is just a swarm of kids running and falling around about the ball. But they seem to love it.
Good luck on Thursday....
AFM - well excitement plus - I had my flu shot for the year this morning, after checking with the ob and also about 5 mins ago my first nosebleed that wasn't from a physical trauma. I was talking to my mum on the phone and thought my nose was runny. Of course, no tissues to hand so I used the back of my hand ( I know, so gross) and was surprised to see blood. It was only a light bleed but the nostril that bled now feels really weird and fragile an snuffly. I am not surprised as this morning when I blew my nose there was a little blood in the tissue from the same nostril. It is a first for me though. I have read it is common in pregnancy...
Had an appointment with my ob on Friday and got some good news. Heartbeat 140 and cervix long and closed and my blood pressue is pretty good 120/60 ( given I am basically a sloth now I am very happy with my BP)
We had family stay with us late last week. It was good to see them, and it really broke up the monotony of being at home by myself. The other good news was that the cats, instead of hiding under the bed, were in fact pat tarts. They were snuggling up to our visitors for pats and one cat even slept on my nephews legs all night. He loves cats but is quite allergic. Thank god for zyrtec! But that is what kept me away since Thursday.
And I am still eating chocolate. I don't think it will ever end....
-
Afternoon Dory, Mrs Dex
Isn't it exciting for Mrs Dex, growing out of her clothes !!
Dory: Good to hear all your stats are good. Pitty bout the blood nose, I too have read somewhere that this is common during pregnancy. Hope it doesn't give you too much grief.
I'm glad you got the opportunity to spend some time with your family and I had to laugh about your cats. Typical, to come out and want attention when there is someone present who is allergic. Pat Tarts LOL.
I totally understand about the chocolate, its still around in our house and finding its way into my mouth. I'm surprised the kids have not polished off the whole lot.
DS soccer game was great, he got called up to be captain. He went in hard for tackles and even pulled of a few trick moves and left everyone wondering lol. All that practise against his older sister has paid off. Your right they are cute while they are unsure exactly of all the rules, positions etc. DS is funny to watch when he runs, arms and legs going everywhere lol. It was cold but the rain held off. They drew 2-2. DS was so proud.
Take Care.
-
Heya Dexy and Gemini ( and anyone else lurking). Excitment plus for me yesterday - a nose bleed - just out of the blue. It is quite hard to talk on the phone and pinch your nose whilst bending forward. But I managed and I reckon if I can do that I can do anything.
Dexy - I hope you are taking care of yourself and have found some new pants!
Gemini - not long til Thursday..... be strong.
AFM - 17 weeks tomorrow...... inching closer moment by moment. I have to go and fill a prescription at the chemist. Ordinarily I would walk but not now. At most I will be out of the house for 10 mins. But a big excitment for me - a small outing.
Take care
-
Hi All,
You know Dory I find that most impressive, you can post into the future. The post said 3:18pm today but my clock says it is 3:00pm now  lol
I am so excited for you, for some reason I thought that you were about 12 weeks, but 17 Weeks... WOW Congratulations!!
Hope your doing well too Dexy and, yes, how is that search for some pants coming along? !
Have fun and I will be sure to post after my appointment. Take Care.
-
I have more skills than I knew! Go me.
-
Darlings!
How are we all? Lots of good vibes around the thread I hope!
Gem... Hanging out for Thursday! Fingers crossed super tight for you lovley  I will be waiting for your post-appointment post!
I took the retail therapy advice lol. 2 pairs of Jeans added to the collection, just need to find more trousers that I actually like. I'm too fussy for my own good.
Dory - Nose bleeds you poor bugger... Bizzare how the body reacts to pregnancy hormones hey. I hope they dont haunt you too much! 17 weeks, how WONDERFUL! I am so pleased for you. I hope each passing day brings you more calm & excitement ;)
Ahhh.... Gem & Dory.. Whats going on with the chocolate indulgence!?! I'm way behind the 8ball. There is bugger all in this house & I'm feeling a tad left out hahhahahahah! So, on my behalf... DIG IN! Lol
AFM - Nuchal scan yesterday was a complete success. Downs risk is super low. Measurements are all in sync with dates. Heartrate was 150. Sonographer was very pleased with everything he saw & we were just elated to see bubs again growing well. Little arms & legs wiggling (not quite as much as 10w4d scan) But even got to see the little one in 3D! Just amazing... Now I really, really feel like we have hit the ground running! And couldnt be happier :leap:
Will drop in again soon ladies, thinking of you all... All the time x
-
Dexy - that is super exciting. I am sooo happy for you. Did you keep looking at those beautiful images? I am just so so so happy and excited for you. When is your next appointment/scan?
I can't believe I am at 17 weeks.... amazing really.
-
Afternoon ladies, just thought I'd pop in and let you know what's been happening since I haven't been in here for a bit (I needed a bit of a break from pregnant people, no offecnce to you guys, but I know you'll understand where I'm coming from).
Anyway, 18DPO TODAY AND NO SIGN OF AF!!! We've made it one day further than last time.
Still not sure if I'm UTD yet or not, as it is also possible that I didn't O when I thought I did and O'd late this time, but everything is looking like I'm utd atm, super queazy, have thrown up twice, dry-retched more times than I care to count, peeing like there's no tomorrow, dull/sharp/achy/stinging pains in my left side near the ovary (I vaguely remember having them with DS on the same side too, they made us get an U/S early at 7wk6d to check for ectopic lol), tired, eating like a pig, BB's are firm and sore (Even more so than last month and with the chem in Jan)... But I've also had the flu (thankfully it seems to have gone now) and a mild throat and ear infection (antibiotics seem to be helping), so any of those symptoms could be from being sick.
As Dory will surely know from visiting the TTC after MC thread, I had a BFN with 2nd MU yesterday morning, and a super faint, almost invisible second line yesterday afternoon.
I'll be testing again tomorrow morning, figured I'd give the HCG another day to build up without me going crazy Testing all the time.
I'll let you all know what happens tomorrow!
Dory - Yay on making it to 17 weeks!
MrsDex - Yay on reaching 12 weeks!
Gemini - Welcome to the group darl!
-
Jenna
Oh oh I am hoping girl! Thanks for dropping in, no offence taken :) Thanks also for making it easy for me to understand. There is so much that goes on in those threads my head starts to spin a little.
I didn't realise you were 18DPO, but did remember you weren't feeling too good. I do hope when you test tomorrow you so get the 2 lines you are hoping for.
Hmm, not sure I can wait that long now, how are you doing with the wait?
-
Dory - I'm coping rather well. I have 2 FR tests sitting in the medicine cabinet, waiting quite patiently. I want to test, but I also know that the longer I wait the more likely it will be that I'll get a strong positive result. So far I'm staying strong lol
I'm really hoping that this is it, but I'm also so scared that have another mc, or that I'm not UTD at all and it's all just a figment of my imagination.
But, DS is super clingy at the moment, and he only seems to get this bad when I'm UTD (The Terrible 2's seem to have come early... temper tantrums every day! And he's not even 16 months old yet!).
I can't wait until tomorrow morning now lol I just hope that I don't end up waking up a couple of times in the early hours of the morning like I did this morning and yesterday morning lol
-
BFN and big temp drop this morning for me, it's looking like I O'd late this cycle.
-
Jenna - oh bugger. A BFN is crushing..... big hugs:comfort:
-
Good Evening Ladies,
Gee it's been busy in this thread, where have I been hiding lol
Dexy, so so happy to hear your scan went well.. with such low risk, and 3D... sounds great! I'm really happy for you and yours! I hope you got to keep some pics/dvd. I got a dvd made of Jayden at 13 weeks, I watched it over and over, its an exiting time.
I hear ya when it comes to clothes shopping, I hate it. I'm so fussy and normally end up walking out with nothing after shopping for hours lol You know, as silly as it sounds, I drove 4 hours one day to get to Country Target just to buy some pants. LOL However, I only spent about an hour in the store and bought about 10 pairs of pants. If only they had a country target in town lol
Jenna, I'm sorry I'm lacking knowledge of the shortening of words (I'm a little slow lol) but I wish you all the best. I hope you get the news you are waiting for soon. Thank you for your warm welcome.
Dory, we have permission to eat Dexy's share of chocolate !! Hope your doing well too.
AFM I had my appointment today and I'm happy to announce that we have the go ahead to try to conceive. There was nothing to indicate their was anything wrong with Jayden's development and all my test results were normal. It was one of those unfortunate 1%. Hoping for a sticky soon!! My doc says, "when you start to ovulate, your body is ready" They will monitor things closely with the next pregnancy and offer reassurance appointments/scans... I'm so happy!
Can someone give me a run down on the following;
DPO
UTD
BFN
I'm so thick LOL
Take care Ladies!
-
Good Evenin Gals!
Jenna - Lovely to see you drop in.. Wish to goodness it was better news lovley. Whats the plan of attack now? I have everything crossed for a BFP for you very very soon
Gemini - Spot on! The thread has indeed been busy! In such a short time too.
I did get some printed images of the ultrasound, the quality is fairly average thou. None the less I will get the chance to get a DVD at my 20 week scan, so I can deal with that nicley! 4 hours to a Country Traget!!! OMG! I thought I was out in the sticks love... Hehehe.Super pleased you got the go-ahead too. Thats great news... I will have everything crossed for you also. Big news soon hey! Where are you in your cycle? Meanings of abbr:
DPO - Day/s past ovulation
UTD - Up the duff
BFN - Big fat negative / BFP - Big fat positive
Have you girls eaten my share of chocolate yet??? I actually found a little red tulip bunny on the bottom shelf of our fridge!!! I bit its big ol' ears off with total pleasure! Lol.
Dorz - DH says hi. Very excited to hear too that you are 17 weeks.
How is that nose of yours? Behaving I hope. Howz about the kitty cats? Have you adjusted to spending time at home alright? It is a super big change from what you were used to
AFM - Had my hospital appointment today with a RMC doctor (gorgeous woman by the way! really lovely to deal with) She has arranged for me to be transfered to a 'normal' pregnancy clinic & I will receive the deails of my first midwife appointment / check up in the mail soon. More bloods taken, just to check vitamin d & things of the sort. 20 week scan booked & thats it...
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I have to travel into the city tomorrow to sort out a problem job for work. Shattered because I really CBF! Lol! But at least it is Friday & the weekend is soooo close - That should get me thru. I just hope the problem job can be resolved, oh how i love cleaning up other people's mess!
Night Girls x
-
HI Ladies,
Dexy, great news about the pregnancy clinic, everything is going so well for you and your little one. A lovely addition to your signature too! Did u go ahead and let people know that bubs is on the way? Sorry if I missed this in a previous post. I think when the time comes for DH and I, we will likely tell family straight away. Their support through good or bad is great!
Tickers are another thing I can't work out LOL Thank you for those meanings, it all makes sense now LOL
I'm on day 16 of my cycle. Don't know about this month, maybe next, we'll see!
As for the weekend... soccer, soccer and more soccer. Got to be up and have DS at soccer at 8:30 sat and DD 8:30 sun morning... oh for a sleep in lol
P.S Hope the Crows win
P.P.S I worked out the CBF !!!
Take Care!
-
Morning ladies, couldn't resist stopping by and letting you know that I had a big temp rise this morning to 37, from 36.6 yesterday.
Still feeling super queasy, and still not sure what is going on with my body atm, but since resetting FF it is saying AF is due on monday, so we'll see what happens.
Other news, I have to say it, so sorry if I offend anyone or anything like that, but I had one bright light in an otherwhise cruddy day yesterday - DS took his first steps :)
I was so happy and proud of him, took his first 5 steps around 5:30, and by 7 he'd managed to make it from halfway across the loungeroom and down the hallway before finally falling over between the kitchen doorway and the doorway of his room (approx 6m distance).
Just thought I'd share it, as even on our most down days there is always one little ray of light :)
Sending baby dust and sticky vibes out to everyone!
-
Dexy! Hope the trip to the city was good despite the reasons. DH took me on a drive today into the city - about 10-15 mins away. It was so nice to be out of the house, seeing the world, but still relaxing and of course it's a beautiful sunny autumn day and I was with DH. Perfect.
Good news about being transferred to a "normal pregnancy unit". Although being classed high risk does mean you get "good service".
Say hi to your DH for me. It's really sweet he asks after me. How did he enjoy the scan? I reckon for them it makes the whole thing seem a lot more real.....
I am coping ok with being at home. Have been home for almost 3 months now. It's a paradox for me, I couldn't imagine getting this far along, but at the same time have faith that I will get to the end, and have our bub in my arms.
Am feeling a wee bit anxious as I haven't felt baby move as much lately as I have been. Then the little things start to be noticed like Oh my breasts aren't sore, and my aversion to the smell of leather has lessened. But I managed to convince one of the cats to sit on my chest whilst I was laying down and when they walked off, my god it hurt. So reassurance on that front. And then yesterday arvo the smell of leather was making me feel sick so more reassurance. I am trying to ensure the anxiety doesn't get the better of me. Whilst my obstetrician welcomes my calls, I take the view I won't always have a kindly obstetrician to run to every time I feel anxious about something. So I try to work my way through it, but will call Monday if it hasn't resolved. Monday seems sooo far away but it will be here before I know it.
Gemini - I have the Crows Carlton game on in the background whilst typing this.... score is 11 to 25 to Carlton, but the Crows seem to have put together a good passage of play... I don't really follow either team, but like AFL generally.
Awesome, absolutely awesome about your results. It must be such a relief to have heard that Jayden was healthy. Heartbreaking too, because it makes it seem even more unfair. Hope you DTD ( do the deed) asap ( also known as BDing). Can't wait to hear about your TCC ( trying to conceive) antics! Glad to hear you are ok.
I like the power shopping in Target! That is efficient. Hope you enjoyed the drive. * hours return?
Jenna - oh oh, it is usual to feel so queasy for so long..... oh I do hope. Bring on Monday. And just fantastic news about DS. I remember when my niece took her first steps, for me it was the most amazing thing. I suppose its the same, probably even more so, when the little one is your own!
-
Hi Ladies,
How was everyone's weekend. Mine was not so good, up early both mornings, and both DS's and DD's soccer teams lost :( and the crows lost:( Had a big headache last night which was still with me this morning. Feeling very tired the last couple of days. I fell asleep while we had family over yesterday  seems to be the theme, usually FIL falls asleep, not me! lol
On the other hand, the kids are back to school tomorrow. I love having them around but gee I'm looking forward to seeing them back at school. They get thrown out of routine when their on holidays and start to get ratty with each other. The house has been progressively getting messier each day the kids are home :wall: So I might have the chance to catch up on things myself next week.
We had an earthquake on Friday night. It only lasted a few seconds but the noise, it sounded like a jet was flying in low, and then everything started shaking. It was a bit scary, the last earthquake I remember was about 20 years ago.
Dory, How are those movements coming along... ? I love it when the movements start!!Sickness - Thats a tough one isn't it, because on the one hand, you want that sickness to go away, but on the other hand, when it does lessen, the worry can start. I'm sure you will be fine. It sounds like you have a great Obstetrician. Let us know how you get on. Sending postive vibes your way!
I'm glad you got out with your DH yesterday, sometimes just a little drive can make the world of difference. And on such a lovely day too, that makes it even more special.
Yes I think Country Target was 4 hours there and then 4 hours back from memory. From Adelaide to Berri. There is another store a little closer but we decided to go for a drive out towards Berri.
Jen, wow thats awesome your son taking his first steps  such an exiting time also. Make sure ou have the camera out won't you! You'll have to let us know how you get on Monday. Let's  for a sticky for you soon!
Dexy don't you be working to hard this week! I know it can help pass the time, to work harder than usual, but make sure you look after yourself. Let others fix their mistakes.
Take care!
-
Gemini - good to hear your weekend was busy if not a "winner". Next week huh? That earth quake must have been surreal and frightening. Glad it wasn't too bad. Did the kiddies know about it or were they asleep? I have this visual of you asleep at the head of the table, mouth open, drooling, and snoring, drowning out your FIL! Hope the sleep helped.
I was a wee bit anxious from Friday til Sunday arvo as there seemed to be a decrease in my feeling the movements. I know its to be expected but still it starts that spark of anxiety and then if unchecked, the fear. I managed ok with distracting myself and just spending time with DH. I was certain I would be on the phone to the Ob requesting a reassurance visit today, but my anxiety settled once the movements increased.
Jenna - it's Monday. What's the news?
Dexy, another week babe! OMG I am so excited for you. Thanks to DH too. Soon I really will be Dora the Explorer - charting new pregnancy terrirtory and adventures. Stay tuned.
AFM - I got another reminder of how lonely this journey can be on the weekend. My GF was having an afternoon tea for friends and family ( who have a horde of little ones between about 8 months and 8 years) and I didn't go, because, one of the littlies had had a high temp during the week which the Dr said was a virus. I felt like such a bum for not going, but there is no way I was going to an intimate gathering where I knew someone had a virus. But still, it made me sad not to go. I was never really like this before, so hypervigilant to "viruses" and it feels a little pathetic to be honest. Like I am hiding from the world, but the reality is that I am isolated from the world at large. I just don't think I can let myself be anything else other than hypervigilant. At least there are no "viruses" here on BB!

Hey Ladies!
Gem - Earthquake?!? Bizzare arent they... All the ground under you shaking violently & not a damn thing you can do to control it!
Jenna??? Where art thou Jenna? Lovely to hear the little one is on the run
Dory - Glad to hear movement is on the improve, I bet your breathing a big sigh of relief! & your so right... uncharted territory soon enough. Hnag in there mate, your doing an incredible job.
AFM 13 weeks 2 days (and I think about 6 hours! lol)
BF MC again last week. She is reaching ou to me to answer all the questions for her & I'm finding that difficult. When I MC she wouldnt even acknowledge it had happened, ( im sure no malice intended, she just didnt know how to deal wit it) let alone say anything. So we just didn't talk about it, I think I even spoke about this earlier in this thread... Anyways, I have real dificulty talking to her about it now. The tables have turned. It quite difficult becuase I want to help, but I still live with the daily wondering & praying also. Trying to remain focused & confident. How do I find a happy medium?
Only time will tell I guess. I'mjust really struggling with the fact that it was akward for her, so I didnt even contact her with what was happening. But yet it is expected of me to be the coach now the tables are turned. Farrrr out.
Well, just a quickie girls - I'm off work today, I need me time with all the ***** thats going on & had a fever all day yesterday... I don't think its a medical drama I think I'm just buggered. Only got 2 hours of sleep Sunday night & that has not happened to me since I was a newborn myself! Lol
See yas later x

Hi guys, AF arrived yesterday while I was in the emergency department. Was somewhat embarrassing too.
My hip has been playing up something chronic for the past week, and yesterday it got to the point where I couldn't walk, sit down, lie down, stand up, kneel, sleep or do anything at all without being in agony and none of the pain relief we have at home was working.
So anyway, went to emergency yesterday afternoon, saw a really nice lady doctor (Aussie too, usually we only have those foreign doctors that you can hardly understand in our local emergency department lol) and she did a few tests (first time any doctor has done those tests on my hip, and it's been 2 years exactly now since I started having trouble with it).
So lady doctor thinks I need to see a rheumatic specialist as I don't have full feeling on one part of my front upper thigh and hip, and have quite severe pain elsewhere on my thigh, hip and lower back on the left hand side (it's the left hip that's playing up btw).
Left there at 8:30 last night with a pack of tramadol... which seems to be working a bit (at least well enough that I can actually get to sleep at night lol).
Booked in to see my doctor on friday (was booked in for 2 weeks time to discuss TTC and MC issues, but managed to change it to an earlier one) so I can discuss my hip & TTC/MC issues with him at the same time.
Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm going to be taking a bit of a break from BB for the next 2 weeks until I get close to O again.
Sending lots of sticky vibes & baby dust out to everyone!!!

Hi Ladies,
Dory I think you did the right thing by you - by not going to your friends gathering. You may feel uneasy about your decision initially, but in the next 6 months or so, you will be grateful of your decision. As they say, better to be safe than sorry and I would have done the same thing. A virus is the last thing you need right now. I agree with Dexy, your doing a wonderful job. You do what you feel is right for you and your little one.
As for the earthquake, the little ones slept through it and didn't believe me in the morning that we had one, even after seeing it on the news. Luckily, it wasn't like the recent one from Perth! Ours measured 3.8, Perths was 5 which took down buildings I believe. Thats scary.
Dexy I'm a little concerened you don't seem to be having a good time. I want you to enjoy your time right now. I'm so not liking what I hear about your BF. She is your BF and I guess it only natural for her to come to you. Maybe explain to her that you are having difficulty with this as you are trying to stay positive with your own pregnancy. Explain to her that you understand what she is going through but maybe refer her to books or maybe organisations. Explain to her that it is important to you that you do not become focussed on the topics of MC. I want you to just enjoy some time with her, when you get a chance. Organise to go to the movies or out to lunch or something, if she is willing to do something other than discuss her recent MC. Sounds like you both could do with a break. Even if you hire a DVD and watch it at home. Make sure it's a feel good movie!
I think it's important she still feel excited about your little bundle on the way.
Remember, this was her MC, not yours.
Yours is 13 weeks 3 days... and about 6 hours? :D
I know this is pretty basic information I have given you, but sometimes I find with myself, when we're faced with something that we find challenging, the basics is what we can sometimes forget.
You must be getting to that stage of the movements starting... so exciting!
How is Hubby going?
Hope you are over your fever!
Jen - oh you poor thing, I know what you mean, I have problems with my hips too. I'm also being sent to a rheumatologist or however you spell it lol. Mine is at the end of May. Although my hips haven't been as bad during the last couple months, earlier in the year they were causing a great deal of pain and I found it difficult to lay on my side to sleep. Do you get clicking in your hips, mine seem as though they're double jointed, when I lay on my side and move my leg the way I would as if I were on a pushbike, the hip bone feels really weird, like it collapses or something. I too have been complaining about it for a few years but only last year started being taken seriously. Good luck I hope they can work it all out for you and do something about it.
AFM I have a feeling that I will have some good news come June... fingers crossed!
Take care ladies. Think of you a lot, sending positive vibes.. !

Hi everyone
Hi ladies,
I have come across your posts after looking for someone who knows what we are or have been through. It is really reassuring reading your posts and seeing pregnancies and TTC's continuing. And to know I am not the only one that as soon as they see the lines appear on the test start freaking out! ;)
I am currently going through my 4th miscarriage and needed to take the day off work just to have some me time...I tend to keep everything to myself which I know is not good but noone really understands. Also three of my friends at work are all pregnant (which is great) it just makes it hard sometimes...and lonely.
I have been on an early pregnancy monitoring this time and was given progestrone pessaries (mmm yucky) to take...but my last blood test said the levels were dropping again so the news is not good. I have another blood test to do on Sat to confrim and then will see what I have to do from there. They tend to let things go naturally which takes my body ages to get back to normal, once it is I am an the easy 28 day cycle and have no trouble TCC. With the next birthday coming up and age on my mind I start to freak out a little too!
My specialist has given me all the blood tests I can think off and they have come back fine and hubby has been tested. I have been to acupuncturists, naturopaths etc, I just wish there was an answer out there.
Anyway just wanted to say, thanks for sharing, it makes it not so lonely out there xox;)
I have seen some suggestions on the Alan Beer book so I'm going to track a copy down, seen the info on this site and might even look into Dr Sacks. If anyone has any other ideas/suggestions...
-
Hi Ladies,
Just a quick post to see how is everyone going? Long time no hear, I hope everything is fine with everybody and your all enjoying your long weekend. Dory and Dexy are probably sidetracked from feeling the little bundles moving around :D
Hope everyone is well.
Nice of you to drop by kekepania, sorry it doesn't seem to be working out for you at this time.
Take care.
-
kekepania - I am so dumbstruck to read that you have the courage to post, during your miscarriage. I am so so sorry that you had the endure the pain again.
I don't have too many other suggestions apart from what you would have read inthis thread - there is a link to tests that are likely to be relevant on a post by Inanna. I did post the link but can find it again and post it if you need it.
I say a second opinon can never hurt. I think of it as "more big brains thinking about the issues". It is hard to ask for a second opinion, but if you are comfortable with your Dr, then explaining it in terms of collaboration, usually makes something more difficult more management. Besides if your Dr is a good one, they will accept your desire to seek out more information.
There is hope, just some of us have to work harder to hold on to it. Can you let me know how you go?
Gemini - I just got sidetracked actually having someone at home to talk to ( apart from the fur babies) over the weekend. I hardly ever post on weekends, as I am too busy talking to DH. Poor man, I think he might sneakily enjoy going to work to get some peace. I even shocked myself over the weekend at the amount of talking I did! Something exciting for DH this week, he is taking delivery of some new mobile phone that he is excited about. Doesn't mean much to me, but it's nice to see him excited about something. I am sure I will have to endure lots of exicted demonstrations and explainations, but I am sure I can manage. He manages to look interested in things I am excited about so I guess its my turn!
How are you doing?
Dexy? How are you? You must be 14 weeks by now?
All good here. I think I have felt some changes in how the baby moves. Less like frenetic spasms and more distinctive movements.... 19 weeks tomorrow. I am excited and more scared too. Can't wait to enter brave new world of pregnancy that I am yet to experience - 22 weeks and beyond! But scared too that I won't get there. I have my next scan at 19 weeks 7 days, which is how far along I was when Sophie entered the world. Just taking it day by day, like always. Inching forward.
-
Helllloooo Ladies!
How are we all doing?...
Kekepania - Welcome to the thread. I hope you find it the wealth of information & comfort I have & still do. The past posts & the girls seem to have certainly thrown some ideas your way, I'm ure you will find that a huge relief & we are always, always here to help and share x
Gem - Well fever long gone - Think I must have had a virus of some sort. I have 3 (NOT 1!) yucky sores on my lip to prove it. Eeew! Things with BF seem to have settled. It's hard with her livng in another state. Prior to her moving we spoke every other day - most times for no reason, just than we could. Now I only get a call when I am 'needed' to fix others problems or reassure them. Frustrating to say the least, but it is what it is & I just have to deal with that in the most plesant way possible guess.
And YES I am anxiously awaiting movements! I felt something distinctivley different while eating dinner Sat evening, but it must be far too early to be anything exciting. So I am just waiting and waiting and waiting....
June good news?!?! WOWOWOWOWOOW! Oh love, I so dearly hope so! Cn it please be June already?? Lol. Sending those positive vibes right back at cha!
Dory - Don't be scared! Be strong! If ANYONE in this world can do it - ITS YOU!
Funnily enough I went back in time for a re-read of our thread not long ago & was completley re-inspired after feeling my flattest. I know how unfair life has been & the horrific sadness you have had to suffer, but please remind youself of how far you have come! Not how far you have to go. Go back & read... & be proud & be excited. You are day by day inching forward as you said, but over time - You have come along in leaps & bounds!
Well 14w 2d - Got a call from the hospital today & will have my first midwife / hospital check in appointment this coming Monday morning. I'm confident that all is well - I have a belly twice the size I expected it would be to be perfectly honest! Wondering when to tackle the bubs room, will probably make a decision after Monday actually...
I'm OVER work/working. Its leaving me brain dead & clock watching. Oh well, 15 weeks to go! Half way there!
So, how was everyones long weekend? Have you all heard the rubbish about Melbourne Storm? Salary cap breach - Thats putting it lightly! It was 1.7 million at first report for goodness sake! & an AFL player in posession of cocaine! Looks like sport is cursed with bad media at the minute or should I say bad eggs!
Well darlings, hope all is well - Sending love everyones way & will call back soon x
-
Oh Dexy. So good to hear from you. You are inspiring - thankyou for the words of inspiration and support. I will go back and read.
Glad you are over your fever but blah about the cold sores. I just hate being sick, in any form, it's sooooo inconvenient. I had the squirts from about lunch time til about 4pm but it seems to have eased and I am now ravenous.I actually thought I was safe and wanted to go to local video store ( it's $ Tuesday) but I got as far as the car and had to walk quite quickly back inside the house. Luckily I didnt get any further than that! It would have been really inconvenient! Oh well, it's still cheap Tuesday, maybe DH can take me later tonight, but I don't get to go, there's always tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that work is such a drag. So you're giving up work at 29/30 weeks? Good call.
I am excited for you for Monday! Less than a week.
About a baby room. DH and I am are just slackers, we leave most things til the last minute and are likely to do so this time. Well I suppose, we have already repainted..... we know what furniture we'd like, it's just a matter of getting it. We have some baby clothes already, I can't help myself and just buy some every so often. MIL is making cot sheets ( she's an awesome sewer... not like me). We need to get blockout curtains, and ideally I would like new carpet. But then again, maybe just get old carpet cleaned and wait to see whether we have a reflux baby or a puker before we get new carpet.... :) I have most of the things I need, except for creams and lotions.
Do you think you are going to have a baby shower?
It's something I have been thinking a lot about and I think I have decided I would like one after the baby is born, but than again, how exciting is it to have all your girl /women friends together to celebrate the impending birth of your baby.... maybe I can have both? Nothing wrong with being greedy about wanting to celebrate baby's arrival. I read a great idea about "gifts" for a baby shower - ask guests to bring along two pieces of paper - on one write down parenting advice and on the other the person makes a committment on how to help the new baby/parents. In my circumstances, where I am more keen to have a shower after baby is born, this seems like a nice way to involve my support network, but also not make them feel like they have to work out for too many gifts.
Anyway, better go and talk to DH, he's just home from work, and despite the squirts, I am still ravenous.
-
WooHoo... things are coming along quite nicely. I was sooooo happy to log on tonight and find that both you lovely ladies had been to visit and left a post informing everything is going well with your pregnancy, not so much with colds etc unfortunately.
I'm so happy I could dance (but I don't dance lol)
Sorry Dexy, didn't realise your BF was in another state :shakehead: I'm such a dufus sometimes!! But glad to hear it's settled a bit for you. I think you are doing an awesome job staying positive about it all. Especially while recovering from a fever. I'm glad your feeling a bit better, take it easy on yourself with work! It sounds like your looking forward to the time off, and who can blame you. It can be hard to keep it going with work, but you are strong and you obviously know how to stay postive, thats what matters, if you can stay positive, everything else will fall into place.
14 weeks, 3 days  ...and a baby bump!!
Dory where's your ticky thingy? I can't keep up without it lol I'll hopefully be asking you ladies about it when the time comes for me, I don't know how they work!
Dory I hope your feeling better. I had to spend a lot of time in the loo yesterday too. Not nice. But today was when I got the tummy pains :(
Hope you managed to go out to get a movie. What movie did you see? Avatar is coming out on DVD tomorrow!
Baby Shower, so exciting, I say go for it, then you can do it all over again after birth. Well, you know people are going to shower you all with gifts after bubs has arrived, people can't help themselves when a baby arrives :D so I say have one before hand too. Bring on those positive vibes. Go ahead and celebrate!
AFM Think we may have missed the boat this month... I just got this feeling that June maybe our time, so we'll wait and see. I'm actually due now, but nothing yet. I took a test this morning - only because I am impatient and hoping for some luck, but at this stage it says no. I'll wait another couple days and re-test if nothing happens. I'm not use to all this going on with my body. I have had tingly breasts and becoming a little moody. Before I fell pregnant last time I had an IUD for years, which took the periods away completely and I had no moodiness or anything else. When I had the IUD removed I went onto the pill for 1 month, then the next month fell pregnant. So I am not up with all the signs and symptoms, or the forum abbreviations, even though Dexy gave me them and I saved them to my desktop, I still get confused, I keep seeing new ones like AF ??? So.... looking forward to the start of winter. Maybe some good news on my birthday
Anyways,
I'm so glad to hear you lovely ladies are doing well, aside from your colds etc, it's an exciting time and the positive vibes are jumping off the page, it's great to see. I feel priviliged to come on here and follow your journey. Keep up the good work.
Look forward to hear again soon! Take care ladies.
-
Gemini - poor blossom - did you end up with gastro? I hope not. I think mine was either mild and over in 1/2 a day ( unlikely, not enough other symptoms, I did feel nauseated around dinner time, but about an hour after I ate I felt much better. doesn't seem like gastro to me). I actually think it was something I ate having an unfortunate effect.
Sometimes I used to get the squirts before AF ( aka period or aunt flow hence AF) was due, including cramps. But not all the time. I think I would get sore breasts, actually I remember getting them. Again not all the time. I seem to get headaches, more saliva, metallic taste in my mouth, tender breasts all before a BFP. This time I also got super sensitive nipples but not in a nice or sexy way, it's actually painful!
Hopefully when you test next you'll get a sneaky BFP but if not - hoping for June!
Thanks for dropping in an asking after us. It is so sweet. Big hugs :comfort:
Oh about the ticker. I have been really worried that as soon as I change my signature that it applies the new signature to all my posts. I read the forum guidelines for tcc and loss threads as strictly no pregnancy tickers, so I never enabled it becuase it applied to all of the past ones. I tried a couple of times to make it not happen but couldn't. I ended up emailing the mods who said it was ok if the signature applied retrospectively but that it needed to be turned off in all current posts. I got that yesterday, so today I can introduce my new ticker..... will do it soon.
There I did a dance for you. I am not a dancer either, but when no one is watching, I might do a little dance..
Dexy - glad to hear that things with your BF are settling down. Sorry that you feel like its one way traffic though at the moment. I know what that feels like and its tough.
Kepekana - how are you doing?
-
Hey,
Hows everyone?
Thought I would drop in for a quick one. As I predicted, It wasn't our month this month, but although its not our time just yet, I am still excited because it could mean that yesterday is the first day of our next pregnancy ! !
AF... still confuses me lol, I know you tried to explain Dory and I have thought about it, but I don't know where aunt flow comes from. I've never heard of that expression, Everytime I think of aunt flow, I wonder what has my aunt got to do with it lol. I must be living under a rock lol Anyway, started spotting couple hours after my last post, next day was full on and still going strong, so I guess my body is back into some sort of routine about it all.
Still not sure 100% if my feeling about June means that we will have some good news in June or if it happens in June therefore find out in July? Only time will tell.
Still no sign of that ticker Dory, I'm waiting patiently !
Take care ladies!
-
Hi Girls!
Thought I better get in to say hi, glad I did! So much to catch up on already! Quite the lttle thread we are hey...
Dory - Please don't thank me for my words - It is my absoloute pleasure to return the favour, you have so many times paid me ;) I hope the squirts have buggered off, leaving you alone you poor love. I remember taking DS to the vid shop once years ago when he was not 100% - While browsing titles I heard from the kiddy section, "I think I did a wet fart" loud enough that made me turn bright red! & exit the store rather quickly with poor little DS none the wiser about the fact that the whole world had heard him! Funny stuff really.
Yep, pullin the work pin @ 30 weeks! Have actually just decided to cut back to 2days a week now too. I'm just running on empty & really lacking drive (very abnormal for me) Pregnancy aside I just have my hands so full & I guess there has never been a better time to take a break. I have been back at work since DS was just tiny & worked really hard to get us by for a lot of years, so to hell with it - It's only money!
Great to see you have a vision for the baby room! Even if its not a work in progress yet, you know what you want & thats the hardest part I think! There is so much on the market to choose from?!? Oh, and can yousend me MIL when you have finished? Lol, I have some sheets I need hemmed & I'm hopeless with a sewing machine.
Baby Shower? YES! We have decided to have a co-ed BBQ at home with our best friends around us. You can certainly have both parties if you wish! Welcome parties are much more heard of now than previously & the taditional shower can be a lovely memory maker. Go for it Dorz!
Big milestones oming up for you too hey... Thinking of you all the time & hope you are filled with excitement & hope x
Gem!
Never mind about BF! Lol, all seems to be well atm. She is coping as well as can be expected and although there are still akward moments - I just deal with them as best as I can. Sorry to hear its not your month :comfort: I'm thinking of you love & sending all the best vibes i the world your way! I can't wait to hear of a BFP sometime really soon!!!
Fingers crossed it's June! & thanks for calling in - Its lovely to get your posts :)
AFM - 15 weeks, booking in appointment in the morning (12 hours exactly!) excited, nervous, nervous, excited. Belly quite noticeable :bellyrubs:! Lady at DS footy club actually asked me today of I was preggo! That's game I recon - I was almost tempted to say no - just to see her reaction lol. Na, lovely lady & I certainly wasnt offended at all.
Well hope life is kind to you all ladies! Thoughts are with those that we havent seen on the thread of late too x
Dex
-
Sooooo.....
ladies,
How's it all going?
Mrs Dex how did your appointment go? I'm receiving all those positive vibes and I am adding more and sending them to you and to Dory!
Hope everything is well for both of you and the ones close to you!
AFM.. I keep getting these sinus headaches, I never had them before a couple weeks ago. Hmmm strange.
I was meditating the other night, as I like to do whenever I can when it's quiet in the evening! The strangest things have been happening. I was thinking about Jayden and focussing my thought on the love I have of him and always will. I received a light touch on a little section of my lip. Was he giving me a kiss? I can only wish it was!! It was a pleasant surprise either way.
Take care, I'll come back again when I have a little more time, at the moment, I have to get to the doctor for another appointment for my daughter!
-
Dexy - how did your appointment go? 15 weeks is awesome.
Good idea to slow down at work. Not that I feel guilty about my work loads previosly, but in contrast to my experience now, I would have felt like I wasn't always running on empty if I had slowed down a little. Like you said, only money. Work will always be there.
Gem - I do honestly beleive it was Jayden giving you a kiss. I am not particularly spiritual but there are just some moments in life that are to special, and for you that was one. What a beautiful experience to have.
I was having a really tough time after Sophie died and one night I had a dream that I was breast feeding her. It was such a beautiful dream, and when I woke, for a while I didn't realise it was a dream, but then when I did, I was so touched with its beauty, rather than the sadness of the reality. The beauty of that dream helped me so much. I hope your Jayden's buterfly kiss helps you too.
AFM - very exciting developments here. On Monday night Dh felt the baby kick, not just move, for the first time in any of our pregnancies. It was just the most awesome moment. I had been waiting with a lot of anticipation of DH being able to experience it but didn't expect it until a bit later, let alone just before 20 weeks. His face was jus priceless - joy, wonder and completely awestruck. He didn't know whether to jump for joy and keep his hand on my belly for more. it was truly a magical moment. A really good lead up to the scan the next day.
Scan went really well. I was more anxious than I realised ( wondered if I had the squirts again, but the urge passed aftger we saw the baby in the scan....so anxeity it was). It was awesome. No bad news, all good. Baby was very active so the scan went for longer which meant more time to look at bubs. There was a big ole yawn, hands up to the face, kicking, turning, squirming and even a "kung fu panda" karate chop move. No waving, well not that we saw. It was so exciting for me to actually feel the baby moving and seeing the movements on the scan. The sonographer was really good too, she had had a loss at 19 weeks, so we were able to talk about it both of our experiences, which most sonographers don't want to do.
Baby has been moving fairly consistently since Monday, in more definite and discernable movements rather than just the flutters.
My mum has been visiting for a few days and hence my abscence from BB. It was so nice to have her visit, but I was so tired last night I was asleep by 8.30pm. Unheard of for me! I did wake at 11.30pm though and spent a few hours awake ( knitting - my mum taught me) but the sleep I had for the first few hours was just so deep and refreshing. I feel so much better today.
I am loving the cooler weather - cats are way more snuggly - and it is so much nicer to snuggle with DH under the blankets and make DH late for work by pleading "just one more minute...". Although the little heater inside means I hardly feel the cold and hardly need any blankets.
Anyway, I could go on for ages. It is so nice to feel some hope, just genuine hope and happiness rather than the stuff I force on myself to get through. I don't want to let these feelings go.
-
Dory, it's so wonderful to hear from you that everthing is going so well. I had goosebumps reading through your post. I'm so happy for you. I can imagine your Hubby feeling the bubs, awesome moment, i'm so happy that you have shared this with us. I really can't tell you how happy I am. I've never met you IRL, but... wow, just amazing!
I had a little giggle here to myself when I read what you wrote about the mornings. LOL My Hubby has to get up earlier than I do, and I like to get up with him so I can spend time with him before he has to leave, but I'm not really a morning person. If I am lucky enough to be awake before he gets out of bed, I am the same as you, I request the extra minute. Usually though, I sleep through and he will tell me once he is dressed that he has to go to work soon. I will moan at him, say NOOOOO, call out to him, then hold up my arms expecting a snuggle. Sometimes he says that I talk to him in the morning in my sleep, and I don't even know about it because I'm still fast asleep.
Sounds like you have been enjoying the time with you mum. I have been meaning to get my mum to teach my how to use a sewing machine. I use to work her old one but that was years ago and I have forgotten it all now. Be great to learn it all over again.
Anyway, I better go, Hubby wants me to move so he can do his footy tips, so I'll call in again soon and hopefully Dexy has been in and let us know how she is doin!
Take Care xx
