I think last week I clenched my teeth in my sleep for a couple of nights. Painful jaw, sore teeth and lots of pain... it seemed to ease and then the last few days the pain in about 3 or 4 of my teeth has gone crazy... MEGA sensitive... breathing hurts and don't even ask me to eat some thing hard or cold cause I'll scream.
Anyone else experienced this?
I will have to book an appointment with a dentist after payday but I don't think I will survive. Never had anything like this before.
I've had pain like this before but it wasn't from grinding. The nerves in your jaw are strange in that you can't always tell exactly where the pain is coming from.
FWIW I am a heavy grinder, I now have a mouth guard that I wear at night. I've never been aware of grinding but my teeth don't break now like they used to.
Hugs xx
I'm a teeth grinder too, back when I was mega stressed doing my PhD I did it so bad I cracked a tooth!
Could you borrow the $ and book in before payday? Putting up with dent pain is hard and it may only get worse while you're waiting
I grind too and it hurts I have to wear guard or i get headaches and a painful jaw, what you are describing the hurting when you breathe and sensitive to hot and cold sounds like a root canal to me.
It's probably just the one, the pain of a root canal makes everything around it hurt, it you tap on the teeth with the back of a spoon gently you might be able to work it out. Maybe try calling your dentist and see if they will see you now but let you pay later?
I recently had seven fillings including a root canal, as my former dentist never took X-rays of my teeth. By the time I went to a decent dentist, the X-rays showed significant decay.
My nerves have got to be shot, cutting wrapping paper this morning hurt as well... Two on my top (one either side) and one on the bottom.... All I can hear are $$$$$$ ringing in my ears
