The new week is the week I celebrate my 44th cycle around the sun!
Baby Tres
We are calling this baby ‘Tres’ until birth. It’s a nice feeling to give the baby a name.
I’m feeling a bit better, I don’t feel as full constantly as I have before. Still feel my digestive
system is really slow but it’s improving. I’m definitely feeling flutters-like movements. For me they
are. Having knowledge about when things are supposed to happen is just orientative. Don’t worry too much about what you’re supposed to feel at each stage. Some health care professionals say you can’t feel anything until a few weeks into the second trimester of pregnancy but I definitely feel the baby moving. I know it’s my baby, I know where I’m feeling it.
My daughters are getting more and more excited about the new family addition and how our lives
are going to get so much fuller soon. The youngest wants Tres to be born now and cannot
understand the wait. We’ve been having conversations about this. The wait is almost as important as
the event itself. Now, you just know baby is there. Wait and see when you interact more when Tres
starts growing and movements can be felt from the outside.
I’ve got a round belly. My uterus hasn’t come out of the pelvis yet but my belly is round and
beautiful.
People are reacting quite oddly to my pregnancy. I mean, compared to my other pregnancies. My
age makes them wary of an overreaction and most of them just wait to hear more info. I tell them
I’m so happy and over the moon but they’re still not too sure. They don’t want to be rude but I feel
their over cautiousness reveals they think I’m not young enough.
Ahh, society and their beliefs on what is right or wrong no matter what the affected person tells you
about it…
The batteries of the doppler arrived just a couple of days before I turned 11 weeks and my husband
and I listened to the heartbeat! It was there, nice and strong, just for a few seconds. We tried again a
little while after and we couldn’t hear it again!
It is early but I’m so glad we were both together. Not that I wasn’t going to believe what I heard if I
was on my own but having that kind of confirmation was very nice.
This has also been the first external confirmation we’ve had. I knew I was pregnant a few hours after
sex. I never took a pregnancy test so hearing that galloping horse sound inside my belly was so
reassuring!
We moved into our house but unfortunately due to an issue with a pipe leak, we had to leave after staying for just one hour in the house. A small leak means no water.
Luckily Jose managed to find an alternative for a couple of nights. Nothing fancy. Clean and comfortable is all we need for these two nights, as we’ll be here just at night and in our home during the day.
We’re exhausted. Just a bit more and we’ll be finally home… At least we can enjoy its wonderful
pool!
