pop some teething rings in the fridge - very soothing on sore gums, and no nasty taste!!

I used sm33 and around 4 months and it worked a treat. I only used a tiny bit and quite infrequently, but It did help.

Other options are to pop a wet face washer in the freezer and let them suck on it, or I also froze some grapes and put them in a mesh bag feeder and let DS suck on them. At 4 months he did not like the teething ring, although he now likes it (8 months).

    Good luck with it hun.

yeh it does HJ. I have only given it to her twice so i dont use it regulary. The affects seem to last for a while. U only need a real little bit. I just rub it on where Mia's teeth are trying to come through rather than alllll over the gum. I do try and use the teething rings tho, but shes not overly interested. She does love chewing on her bib tho, so i might try the fashwasher idea.

Im going to get her some teething rusks this week so ill let u know hw they go.

Hollye - Again, my DS didnt really take to the rusks till close to 6 months, but I did try earlier... One thing he did like was the link rings from his baby gym playmat. He could get a good chew on them.

There is the brauers teething relief too. Works well. I gave DD pieces of cold apple to chew on ( under supervision of course) the coldness and the added flavour worked well)

Hollye - B loves sucking on her bib also - so yep i think the washer idea just might work

Rufalina - thanks for the washer idea - i will be trying it today if needed! B isnt interested in teething rings for some reason so the washer just might do the trick!
i was also thinking of grapes, so im glad u suggested it - i have grapes and one of those mesh bags - so i might freeze a few grapes for her!

Jess - im acutually heading to the chemist today to look into those Brauers creams and stuff - cause apparently there is a calming one??? which is good????

we tried the teething ring, the teething relief (bruers I think) and cold facewashers etc but nothing worked so we used the curash teething gel (basically bonjella) from about 3.5 months. It helped a bunch I have heard wonderful things about the teething tablets but am yet to try them.

Brauers are GREAT. everythign ihave tried has worked well with DD.

Also was going to mention the chewy net things. You buy them from woolies, coles Big w etc. Its a net that you put food in and bubs can chew on it through the net (so they dont choke) I put frozen watermelon or grapes in DD's or fresh fruit pieces of veges partialy cooked etc.

Harms, I brought a bottle of that Brauers Teething Relief last week for Kye. It seems to help him when I give it to him, settles him down. He has been quite irratible the past couple of days and is constantly rubbing his mouth with his fist and just yesterday started tugging at his ears, poor fella must be so horrible.

I've also got one of those mesh bag things, havent used it that much but I put some cold pineapple in it one day and he loved sucking on it hehe

My poor DS got 4 teeth all at once last week. I think it was good to get so many out of the way at once... But it was nasty for a couple of days... Hang in there.... Teething pain passes...
