Well done Trish. It is hearing about these positive calm births that really encourage me to keep going forward with my VBAC. Thank you so very much for taking the time to share. And a woo hoo to DH for being such a great part of your birth too.
Great to read your Calm Birth served you so well under the circumstances (sudden invitation of a doctor, being told you only had two positions 'allowed' to you!)
I wouldn't call the midwife a 'no-nonsense' midwife - what is 'nonsense' about a woman wanting to move around to find her own comfortable birthing position? I'd say it's nonsense to be so prescriptive about it for her own convenience!
Nice work on birthing a 'large' (humph!) baby with no trauma
You must be so proud Trish....well done. A positive birthing experience is very empowering i think...you seemed to have accomplished this. Enjoy your little girl....
Trish, I'm in tears... That was such a beautiful story, thank you so very much for sharing it with us all. You owe yourself a lot of that credit for having so much faith in yourself to get through it all drug free. I am so inspired by your story, I will definately be doing my research over the coming months in regards to breathing, etc in order to have (hopefully) a similar story to tell when the time comes.
You have definately been blessed with a sweet, caring (and understanding) husband and an absolutly beautiful family. Alana is one very lucky girl to have you both as parents and have those two hansome boy for brothers.
Thank you so much once again for sharing that with us. Congratulations once again on the birth of your beautiful, precious little gift from above, Alana.
I wish you all the happiness in the world, enjoy your babymoon!
Congratulations and in no way too long...nothing like an inspirational birth story. I am very happy that you had so much faith in yourself and you got a lovely birth, that was much deserved after all the work you put in.
