    Toddler sleeping bags

    Hi,

I have a 16 month old who, at night time sleeps in a grobag sleeping bag and has been doing so since he was about 6-7 months old. He's now in the summer one (TOC 0.5) although it still cools down during the night. What I'd like some advice on is, the sleeping bag is sleeveless and I worry that he'll be cold if he's in a short sleeve top underneath yet I CANNOT find any thin long sleeve tops, pjs or anything just to keep his arms covered at night. I've tried putting a blanket over him during the night as well but that lasts 5 mins until he rolls over. Does anyone have a solution, or know where I can get some thin long sleeve tops from?

    Cheers, Bec

I got DS some long sleeve cotton pj's from Big W. He also has a set called Snugglebums which I got from the Bambini Pronto website.

when my DS was in his sleeping bag & that was up til round 16months (so not sure this will help)...but I would put him in the bonds suits. Not the warm ones, the ones with stripes & funky patterns etc with no feet in them. That way arms were always covered & legs, feet out for comfort...then the sleeping bag as the comfort of a rug & that worked for us. This way I was ok with leaving his fan on also....we lived in remote WA & it was HOT!!
Even now at 2.5 as he never keeps under covers I still like to keep his arms covered, so I use just plain long sleeve tops, just whatever I can find & don't use a singlet underneath. I got some really nice plain coloured thin ones just a couple weeks ago at cotton on for kids.

I 2nd the Bonds suits. The ones with the long sleeves, no legs are great for summer nights. I'm not a fan of the so-called 'Easy suit' but they are fantastic for summer as they are cotton and very light. My DD sweats alot and these are the only ones she will comfortably wear during summer. Good luck!

I forgot to add that my DD also is in the Grobag 0.5 tog for summer...unless of course she escapes it which has become her favourite thing lately!
