If you've ever thought about fostering, volunteering to help a child or young person in need, or just want to make a difference, then maybe this is for you.

Dates for foster care information sessions in Melbourne's Eastern metro region this year include:

Wednesday 11 February, 7.30pm, Alvie Hall, corner of High Street Road and Alvie Road, Mount Waverley.

Thursday 12 February, 7.30pm, The Avenue Neighbourhood House, 87 Eley Road, Blackburn South.

Tuesday 17 March, 7.30pm, Anglicare Knox, 666 Mountain Highway, Bayswater.

Tuesday 28 April, 7.30pm, Memorial Hall, corner of Bell Street & Anzac Avenue, Yarra Glen.

Wednesday 29 April, 7.30pm, Kallista Community House, 2 Church Street, Kallista.

Wednesday 27 May, 7.30pm, Anglicare Box Hill, 7 to 11 Shipley Street, Box Hill.

Thursday 16 July, 7.30pm, Anglicare Knox, 666 Mountain Highway, Bayswater.

Wednesday 5 August, 7.30pm, South Warrandyte Hall, 66 to 68 Hall Road, Warrandyte South.

Friday 7 August, 7.30pm, Kew Library - Phyllis Hore Room, corner of Cotham Road and Civic Drive, Kew.

Thursday 8 October, 7.30pm, Anglicare Yarra Ranges, 47 to 51 Castella Street, Lilydale.

Wednesday 11 November, 7.30pm, Anglicare Box Hill, 7 to 11 Shipley Street, Box Hill.
