Griffith University BMid 2010 hopefuls

Hi I just thought I would start a thread for those of us hoping to be able to study midwifery soon at Griffith University.

Here's what I have found out so far . . .

The course convenor is hoping for the BMid to be offered from 2010 but has said that they might be cutting it fine to get it through by then, but they should know either way by the end of September.

They met up with the Gold Coast director of Nursing back in May to start the process of securing clinical placements.

The BMid course will be based at the Logan Campus, however they would like to offer blended learning - face to face intensives (eg: block sessions on campus, every day for 2 weeks, twice a year) and web based live sessions as well as interactive but not live web based modules (so students don't have to be on campus all the time). They would also like students to have continuous clinical experience in a variety of settings.

The course will most likely be available both part-time and full-time. . . YAY!

And how good is it that they will probably offer it part-time too!
Now we just have to get in . . .
