Okay this whole applying for uni thing is doing my head in!
Basically i know before i apply im going to need to do something to help me get in!
So..... i was wondering which one of the following will be the best bet?
A Tertiary Preparation Program thru USQ?
or
Adult Tertiary Preparation Course thru TAFE?
Are they the same or is one better than the other? which one will i benifit more from?
Some Unis look more favourably on their own prep packages... but it also depends on so many things - work experience, application as a mature aged student, any previous studies etc etc
I haven't been much help but it might help to contact the Uni and see what info they have for potential students
u have been a help - i didnt even think of contacting the uni i wanted to go thru and see what they had to offer to help me get in! i will do that on monday! thank you
They are going to have pretty much the same content I suspect...it is really down to the hours and which one is easier for you to attend. TAFE is looked on very favourably at most universities anyhow so go with your personal choice and good luck!
I looked at doing some courses through Open learning Uni, but found that I couldn't then use that combined with my stat test score. I wanted to make sure that I could do that with whatever prep study I did to give myself the best chance of the best entrance score! The ATP is correspondance and you hve 6 months to do the units in, but you would have to do the language and learning module first and then the biology. Each unit is approx $150 in cost. I guess it depends with the Uni prep course through the Uni's whether or not it gives you more of an advantage doing it through them!
I know it's really overhwleming trying to know which path to take, but you'll get there in the end and be glad at how well prepared you are!!!!!
