Something I need to look at doing, only have 4 subjects left of my degree so I have to see if I am able to retake it up with the same uni (distance learning) or if I have to swap to the local campus, that is assuming they have a similar degree. I was doing accounting, but am happy to swap to more of a general business one. I haved not wanted to be an accountant for years, but am happy with general business stuff.
I think I will take the opportunity to apply next year. I'll be on maternity leave and after the drama's I've had at work the last week I don't feel motivated to return! My perspective on work life has changed and it has given me the motivation to just do what I want to do instead of trying to please everyone else.
I've always wanted to do Nursing/Midwifery so I think I will be enrolling in that![]()
I applied this year to do Masters degree, but then I found out I was pg with #2 and thought uni study might be a bit much with a new born especially as bubs is due right around exam time.
So I after pestering the uni I was lucky enough for them to defer me, otherwise I would have had to reapply again. They will send me some info sometime mid 2008 they said, but being a university we will wait and see, I might still have to re apply.
Still wondering what it will be like with a 9 or so mth old and Uni, although its part time distance, it's always hard to find the time you need to do things you would like to do.
Good luck to everyone applying in 2008!
I'm not sure yet... DF wants to go back to uni as well, so we're thinking we'll accomodate that for 2009 - bubby will be 12 months old and i can probably work full time.
I think i would like to enrol in something part time by correspondence. I just don't know what. I am interested in so many things, but i don't have anything specific i would want to make a career out of.
Does anyone know anything about OpenUniversities Australia? From my understanding you enrol in four units, and then you pay to continue the degree??? I'm confused.... Can anyone enlighten me?!!!!
Hi!
I have applied for Bach of Mid through UniSA. Still yet to hear if i have got in or not. Don't like my chances though.
I also added Bach of Nursing as my second prefernces and think the might offer me Nursing rather than Mid.
I have also got the opportuntiy to accept an offer from James Cook University here in Townsville for my defererred Bach of Nursing from last year.
A few choices but still up in the air about it all!
Hello everyone!
I have applied for a double degree through Griffith. 'Bach of Business (HR)/Bach of Psychological Science'.
I find out on Thursday if I have been offered a position in it though!! I have both of them as single degrees as my 2nd and 3rd pref's.
Good Luck everyone waiting for responses!!!![]()
