    ARGH really bad reaction

My DD1 is anaphylactic to eggs and nuts so we dont keep them in the house and carry an epi pen everywhere we go. Tonight whilst at home she said to me Mummy my face is sore so i looked over to her sitting on the couch- i was preparing dinner. Her face was swollen welted and she was starting to have trouble breathing. Now i am petrified i have no idea what she has come into contact with. I asked her if she ate anything (i hadnt given her anything) and she said yes but then when i asked what said nothing. SHe is 2.5 so getting a straight answer can sometimes be hard iykwim.

Now i am petrified that its going to happen again as i have no idea what it was. Luckily i got to her in time and she didnt need the epi pen just a dose of steroids. She is now asleep on the couch as i am too scared to put her to bed.

Thanks for reading i dont really know why i am posting but needed to de brief iykwim.

Thats so scary Hoody! Lucky she was quick to tell you. Maybe you could play a kind of guessing game to try and get the answer from her in a fun way.
Big hugs for your scare you poor thing.

    Hoody,

That would have been really scary. Are you able to see a doctor and get some more testing to eliminate other possible things?

I hope you get some answers soon.
