    no/low carb

Ok, decided I need to cut down the amount of carbs I eat... anyone got some suggestions as to what I can have for breakfast and lunch that is low/no carbs? Preferably easy and quick to prepare...

    TIA

Just pulled out a couple of bits from some books i have.
breaky - fruit (not tin fruit), grainy/low GI bread/musli. Eggs maybe. Yoghurt.
lunch - vegetables, salads, fish, chicken, fruit. Basmati rice is ok, as well as pasta cooked al dante (sp).
We swapped our breads for low GI, white for DH, grainy for me- i quite like the 9 grains one. Great with Low GI jam, and also just for normal sandwichs.

    Lunches I'm good at

Salads are fantastic, just pop anything you would on a sandwich with extra lettuce instead of bread. I make a big bowl of hummous at the start of the week & dip carrot sticks & celery in throughout the day as my nibbles.

Sometimes I buy heaps of chicken wings & marinate them & pop them in containers to have for lunch etc with fruit during the day.

Vitaweat crackers with avocado, cheese and lettuce or other toppings are a lower carb options as well. Sometimes I top them with tuna...

Brekky I would just suggest eggs, fruit & yoghurt.... smoothies with some LSD powder. So banana/strawberry smoothie with a little milk or rice milk & protein powder...

Low carb muffins are good, just bake up a batch and freeze them. For recipes have a look at the Empower Foods and Pinch of Health sites, they are Australian so the recipes will tend to have ingrediants you can get.
