    Coconut Flour

    Hey ladies....

I was in our local organic shop this morning cause we are thinking of giving it a go and I was just wondering what you would use coconut flour for?? Is it the substitue for plain flour, what does it taste like??

    TIA

Coconut flour is 100% Gluten free, so if you need a gluten free diet, it is fabulous.
It also has a much higher fibre content than gluten-based flours. You can sub it in recipes for about 30% of the normal flour content, or you can use it 100% in many recipes, just a matter of fiddling and testing for yourself
The flour itself is generally made from the fibres left once coconut oil has been extracted, or simply from the dried and ground meat of the coconut. It is an awesome flour and perfect for people with allergies, gluten intolerance or if you are looking for a healthy alternative to heavily processed white wheat flour.

Google and you will find more info and some ace recipes too

    HTH!
