    Two year olds Teeth

My little boy just seems to keep face planting and hitting the same tooth...a while ago he went over in woolies and hit one of their fridges and and chipped it it now looks remarkably like a sharks tooth. Anyway the other day he had a collision with his friend and face planted the floor his tooth was loose for a while and then seem to stabilise again, his gum was pretty bruised and a bit of blood and since then it has hurt him to bite on it. Which is the same as when he first did it, it took a while for the sensitivity to go down. Anyway we went to the dentist and because he is only 2 they can't do much as it was hard to get him to even open his mouth, he said to see how it goes...
He now has an abscess on the gum, it's swollen and sore... I'm doing the salt thing until I can ring the dentist on Monday but who knows how long they will take..

Has anyone had any experience with a 2yr olds teeth???? I get that he may have to lose the tooth and just be goofy till his adult tooth comes in.. I'm worried that there might be damage to the adult tooth already and if not whether the abscess can cause any damage.. It's soooo hard to see him in pain and not be able to do anything and then to think he may have to have one out which will have to happen under a general my heart hurts..
Please does anyone have anything they can tell me or just share

you certainly need this delt with, he needs a polpotomy or baby root canel, the nerve is treated as it has died causing the abscess, he may also need ab's. the abscess is draining the infection away which is a good thing!

    sorry BBl baby needs feeding..

Thanks so much for your information and concern.. we managed to go to the dentist and he said it was more a waiting game to see if the tooth went grey. It all seems to have calmed down at the moment, so fingers crossed. He does at least seem to be biting on the tooth again which is a positive sign
