Does anyone have a skate or a bebe care rverse?? I am looking for a pram suitable from newborn and the convertible bassinet in both of these really appeals to me but I'm not sure which would be best. The skate is more than twice the price of of the rverse but I'm not sure what you get for your money for the difference?? I can't find any reviews of the rverse so wondered if anyone has any experience of it and would recommend it.
Any help navigating the confusing world of prams wold be gratefully received!!
I was considering both these prams for the same reason but choose the Joolz Bloom instead because of the extendable footrest that neither the peg or bebe have.
I think the peg is very good quality and was quite disappointed with the flimsy feel of the bebe. Basically the Bebe is a Childcare brand and I had a Childcare pram for DS who is now nearly 5 and the pram is still good. I think from my looking and fiddling with the Bebe for a while ( a couple of visits to the store!!) it feels far more rickity than the older childcare prams. Also, each time I asked for a demo of the bebe each of the store ladies had to get help and the instructions and it took ages for all of us to work out the different ways to collapse, convert and opperate it. And it pinched my fingers three times! Oww.
I would have bought the skate over the bebe as it was a well made and simpler design - but found the Joolz more suitable.
I have the Skate and well I LOVE it !! Yes, it was pricey (mind you we got 300 knocked off the price as we bought all our nursery/baby stuff from the one place so it only ended up costing us $900) but i think it was money well spent considering its an "all-in-one pram. - the only downside for me is that there is no toddler attachment so if i happen to fall pg before DD can walk i might be in a bit of strife...BUT....i'll worry about that if/when i have to . A huge drawcard for me with the Skate was the fact that i didn't have to buy any separate bassinette or seat, everything is in the one pram, that and the fact that it was the only "big" four wheel pram that would fit in my boot without having to remove any wheels or anything ( i have a corolla hatch). Some ppl have said they find it heavy, but i don't think its any heavier than some of the 3 wheelers i tried out and in terms of "driveability" it is fantastic both on smooth and rough terrain. - Also, you don't have to worry about not being able to fit through some checkout aisles as you do with some of the other big prams (eg. the Stryder)
Also one other downside is the storage area - not sure how much weight the netting thing would hold, but its ok for short light trips to the supermarket
anyway, HTH -PM me if you want to know anything else
Goodluck with the choice!

OOh, I had a play with the joolz and it was so light and easy to push I LOVED it. Price is even more of an issue there though as with bassinet as well it came to 1200 ish- although I guess that;s not much more than the skate...
Glad to know you like the skate Ella bear, I agree it's heavy but doesn;t really feel it when you push it. Also the rverse seemed quite low, but I didn;t really get a chance to play with it properly. Not an issue for me as I am 5'2'' lol but maybe for hubby!
Thanks for your comments! I will have to go and have a play with all 3 sometime!
