    Question eye troubles in pregnancy

Just wondering if anyone had change in vision during pregnancy and how long it took to go back to normal after birth.
My vision has changed in one eye, enough to be noticed but not enough apparently to change my glasses' script. (I'm very short sighted in both eyes.)
I understand that the change in vision can be normal in pregnancy. (My obs and eye specialist confirmed this in the past 2 weeks).
I'm interested in how long (if it did) before your eyesight went back to how it was pre-pregnancy. Or if you had to get a different glasses/contacts script (or even if you got to get rid of glasses altogether).

My eyesight improved! I went back for a retest when bubs was 2 (I was busy ok?) and my weaker eye was stronger.

So needed a slightly less strong prescription...

any one else? I like the idea of my eyes being a little better than they were - might mean some cheaper lenses

mine got marginally worse - that is, I assume it was pregnancy - I had to get a slightly stronger prescription when I went back for an eye test about 3 months after DD was born. But they didn't get any worse during my second pregnancy so perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to blame it on pregnancy! Maybe they would have been worse regardless. Although the optometrist did agree with my assumption that the change in my eye sight was probably attributable to my pregnancy. Who knows?
Hopefully pregnancywill improve your eyesight - ooh wouldn't that be nice!

My eyesight got worse as well, I had to get new glasses at about 8 months last time. This time I haven't noticed any change. But I was told by Ob, Dr, and optometrist that it does happen and normally changes back... Just get them checked again when bubs is about 3 months old... if you have time!

I got my eyes tested when I was only 4 1/2 wks - hadn't even told hubby yet and the optomitrist asked if I was pregnant as there had been such a huge change (for the worst) unfortunately in my vision.

As for it after birth - I was told to wait until after you finish BF for all the hormones to go back to normal - which I have only just done and haven't had my eyes check since.

Fingers crossed you get better vision out of it!
