baby has so much wind, wakes hourly - desperate for help

It seems my baby has soooo much wind. he farts so much and so loud. When he sleeps, he starts to squirm and cry a little then farts and goes back to sleep within the hour, happens like 5 times, about after an hour he does a massive fart which wakes him up and cries.

What can I do? It's driving me crazy, I can't sleep. Even when he is asleep I can't sleep for fear he is just going to wake up again any minute and no point to try to sleep as by the time I have fallen asleep he is crying again

He is also so tired he can't even finish 60ml of the bottle. Goes to sleep then wakes hungry.

My baby used to have THE nastiest smelling farts and green evil poo. And he farted constantly.
We switched his formula to goats milk and he is heaps better, no farts and mustard poo with virtually no smell.
You could look into your feed, maybe he has an intolerance to something, or needs something that is more easily digestible.

Bella had terrible wing to begin with we got some infacol drops that you can give young bubs and they worked so well! Bella would burp really well and didnt have wind between bottles.

We changed formular but it did not help with the wind.

We have started using 'Infant's Friend' and it has worked a treat with burping and gas!

Sounds like my DS. We use Donnalix for his colic and it seems to help. I don't know why, but he is so windy as well, and his farts hurt him too He will just cry and squirm all of a sudden and then fart. I keep getting told "he'll grow out of it" - I hope for both of us that it's soon!

Don't know about switching formula because we b'fed but DS was very similar and we also had success with Infants Friend.

Baby massage can help too, as can a nice deep warm bath.

Hope you both get some relief soon, we found that DS grew out of it within a few weeks.

I found that the Brauer colic drops helped Tom's explosive wind immensely. Also, try different flow teats on the bottle. Is he gulping air if the flow is too fast? Are you able to get him to burp each time he feeds?
