Hip Wearing of a much older baby

I have just made myself a no-sew ring sling
I am always carrying B around who is almost 22months. All it is is two rings (I bought these off a woman who got them on the net for about $6) then bought 2.5 meters of a decent non-stretch cotton fabric... then I searched youtube on how to thread it and voila

So handy when trying to cook tea and you have a toddler wanting your undevided attention! Plus I think she is learning to cook

That's great Tanya. I had a ring sling with the boys and used to carry DS1 on my hip right up until DS2 was born and I was wearing him instead (DS1 was 19 months). Sadly DS2 didn't like being worn much after about 12 months or so. But for most kids I think it works really well.

I tired that, but I am so hopeless, that even with youtube I could not make the rings work... Must lookinto it again as DS is getting very heavy to carry round...

I know Jazz is a lot younger but I don't know where I'd be without my ring sling! (having an 11.5kg 10 months old means carrying her for 10 minutes makes my arms ache!) So handy! WTG with making one!!
