    Soooooo tired!

I'm starting back at work this week, 3 days a week, and whilst I am excited about returning to the workforce after a year, I'm freaking out because I'm so TIRED! DS just turned 1 and usually sleeps well but he has been very unsettled for the last couple of weeks and has been waking at night again, sometimes up to 6 times and just for quick resettles, not for food. I'm not the best sleeper so it can take awhile to get back off when this happens. This is leaving me exhausted during the day and by around 2pm I feel "foggy", or as if I'm really spaced out.

Does anyone else feel like this? Is this just part and parcel with being a mum? And how do you get through the day? I am starting a new job with a new company so don't want to be zombie like all day! I was almost anaemic a few months ago but my iron levels are back up.

Just wondering if other's feel this "out of it"?

Oh you poor thing. My girlfriend told me to allow two months to get into the swing of working again, she now enjoys working but goes to bed at 9pm every night now!

My only answer is COFFEE! It gets me through.... Give it time it's a big adjustment.

I am having the same problem, and really need help. The worset thing is when I am waking up during the night, I just cannot go back to sleep at all. I am a very light sleeper. when I got home from work the end of the day, I don't even remember how did I drive home, it is really scary.

Is your DH able to help out? Maybe you do one night when you get up and and he does the next.

You need to find out the cause of these recent night time wakings. Does the dummy fall out, the comfort toy get lost, too cold/hot etc? There are numerous books out there preaching all types of sleep techniques.

It does take a while to get into a routine and at the same time your bub will be finding his own sleep pattern.

Good luck both at night and back at work.
