Opinions on a few boys names?

Since I'm certain I'm having a boy this time, I'm trying to think of some names. With DD, before I knew what she was to be I was think either Xavier or Tobias for a boy. I still like Xavier but I'm hearing it everywhere lately so it's lost its effect for me. So far I am tossing up between Tobias and Lucien. There are a few different spellings to Lucien, I'm not sure the one I use is the correct one. Lucienne? That looks a bit too feminine for a boys name. Luciene? Lucian? What do you think? We're pronouncing it Loo-see-en rather than Loo-shen.

I personally like Lucian - and I think the spelling's up to you! But Lucienne does seem a bit feminine

Yeah, I would imagine it being pronounced something like Loo-she-EN, y'know? I would probably spell it Lucian.

The only change I might make is e instead of a - Lucien. May make people more likely to sound it out rather than saying it the lazy way, KWIM?

I like Lucien. Or Lucius or Alucius?

i think the A makes it more of a SH sound and looks more girly (lucia) so i'd go with an E.
i also like Ettien/Etienne or Bastien

If you 'are' to pronounce it Loo-see-en then i would think it was the spelling of " Lucien "

Just throwing my honest opinion into the mix.... I think Lucian is a cool name but sounds very girly, like 'Lucy'. I personally don't rate it as a boys name.

I LOVE Xavier though and Toby, but not Tobias.

Good luck with the decision. I'm surprised how difficult choosing a name is!!

i love tobias ! i considered it for my little boy, but dh didn't like it . Tobias Lucian perhaps ?
