Heya Kate good on you for doing what makes you happy . In the end you need to do what you want and what you want for your kids. I wish I could just work part time it would make life so much easier than fulltime. But I might be fired at the end of the year with new bubs so we are going to try and save up as much as we can till then.

Hows everyone else going? Looks like they caught us, nearly got to 20 pages in the last thread hehe

Morning all! I hope you all had a great weekend

Ours was spent at home, DH getting things ready for a caravan trip next weekend (I'm not going) and me nesting. I managed to reorganise the bookshelf in the boy's room and finish off everything I wanted to do in their room. Then yesterday I rearranged all the stuff stored in our garage, it was a huge job and my back is paying big time for it. I love how DH was in the garage the whole time I was in there doing his own thing, then at the end of the day when he saw how much pain I was in he said "You shouldn't have done that stuff in the garage" . Funny he didn't mind at the time, nor did he lift a finger to help me! If I didn't do it, he wouldn't have and it really had to be done. Anyway...

I went to yet another baby market on Saturday and got a gorgeous bassinette, I was going to use a wooden cradle, but as soon as I saw this bassinette I had to have it! It's a Mothers Choice Coco bassinette and has a wooden frame and calico-type fabric. I want a bassinette so bub can sleep in our room for a little while.

Paycyn - I'm glad Kaleb is getting better. I hope your eldest recovers quickly!

Kim - Glad you had a nice time away

Celtic - Yay for seeing your happy, healthy bub! Does your work know you are pg? It must be so tiring to be pg, working FT and looking after Ryan .

Kate - I hope you are enjoying being a SAHM again!

Mo - Poor Maddi, I hope she is feeling a bit better today. I hope she slept OK last night.

Amber - Aww , I hope you feel better soon you poor love.

Saffi - I hope you are feeling a bit better. Did you end up going to the expo? How cool to know your bub has lots of hair! I didn't find that out with K until he was actually born LOL! Joel was a baldy so it was a bit of a surprise when K had lots of hair.

Kaz - Woohoo for seeing a little heartbeat! Good on you for letting yourself get excited . I know how you feel, I've had two m/c's and it definitely makes you feel nervous until you see your bub on the u/s. Here's hoping you have yourself a little blue bundle

Amelia - I have had loads of crazy dreams while pg! And yep, I can be very spacey at times, I definitely have pregnancy brain. It can be so embarrassing at times LOL!

Julia - Oh my goodness, are you moving to Singapore today?! If so, GOOD LUCK!!! Can't wait to hear how it all goes

Willow - I hope you had a nice time on your "day off"! Did you get your nursery all finished?

Kellie - I'm glad Tahlia is enjoying DC, it makes it much easier on you!

Well, I'd better go and give some boys some breakfast. Have a great day all!

Trish - We got the same bassinette for bubba h on layby!! I love it. Dh was going to get me a Boori Cradle cause I love tem so much and we couldn't afford one for Rhys but I was the same as you and saw the coco and wanted it!! Lol. How much did you pay for it second hand??

Well we are just so and so here. Massive fights between me and DH at the moment. Just sick of being used and nothing being appreciated at all. Just over it in general really!!

    Have a great monday everyone!!

All I can say is that I am glad you guys are at the end of a computer and not here with me. I am so blah..................... Have taken the day off work as they'd will only send me home if they see and hear me.

We both ended up going to the Expo yesterday. DH wasn't going to go but I guilted him into it. We have found a few prams that we like. The one we were very keen on was the P&T Vibe. It is a new one but when DH went on-line to look at reviews they were very mixed. Those with 2+ what are you doing/going to do about a twin/double pram/stroller?

Kim - how lovely to have a weekend away by yourselves.
Kate - good on you for making the decision to stay at home. In the end it comes down to deciding what works best for your family. How's L going?
Mo - its actually 7 weeks now. Off to the OB this afternoon so we'll see what he thinks about everything.
Hope Maddi gets better soon. It always amazes me how the little ones can have a high temp, no food in their bellies and still create chaos.
Trish - do I have to come down there and forcibly stop you from doing all that heavy moving?
The bassinet sounds lovely. Our bassinet is currently at MIL's being all made all girly. I can't remember if I told you it is the same one that DH was in when he was a baby (plus generations of family and friends since).
Speaking of MIL she made the most beautiful little dresses. One is pink with little flowers (and matching pink socks with a flower sewn on them and the other is white with a lacy overlay. They are so gorgeous. Not the type of dresses she will wear everyday, so I will have to find an occasion for her to wear them.

Anyway to everyone that is sick - hope you are on the mend.
To everyone else - I'm so jealous. Come here so I can cough all over you.

    Have a good day.

A new thread ... yay! Well I am feeling pretty good today and I brought some mints last night and they are doing wonders for my constant indigestion! I just need a plug to stop me going to the loo a million times a night and I will be happy.

We had a great weekend, out to lunch with friends yesterday and then dh took me to Richmond and we had a look at a couple of outlet stores. Pumpkin Patch is huge there and I could have stayed and spent a bucket load of money. In one way a boy would be nice, so I can go on a shopping spree!

    Amelia
    - hope things improve for you and your dh soon, probably doesn't help that you have been sick. Everything seems to get on top of you when you are not feeling 100% !

    Trish
    - you need to start taking it easy! Why do we all think we are supermum's? The bassinette sounds great! We have shared one between my sister's and I, only one of the bubs hasn't use it. So it is kinda sentimental.

Paycyn - glad Kaleb is better, bugger though that one of the other kidlets has it now. Speed recovery to him x

    Kim
    - sounds like your weekend away was just what the doctor ordered, half ya luck! Always appreciate the kids so much more when you have had a break huh

Kate - well done on becoming a sahm again! I take my hat off to anyone who is a working mum, you must be great at juggling that is for sure!\

Celtic - not much difference between us in dates, and I think I might get pushed back to my orginal edd again as well. How are you feeling?

Amber - feeling any better today?

to everyone else I have missed, I was planning on doing heaps of personals, but then I forgot what everyone had been chattiing about cause we have a new thread. So my apologies. Still love you all xx

Misskate - good news about being a SAHM again! I wish I could be one again too!

Celtic - i dont know how you do it working full time! I struggle enough with 3 days a week!

Trish - please take it easy! The bassinette sounds adorable, I will definitely have to get some shopping tips from you when its time for no 2!

    Amelia -

Saffi - hope your feeling better soon and that your ob appointment goes well. The dresses sound gorgeous, you will have to show us some photos

Kaz - glad you had a good weekend. I know which outlet you are talking about, its a great one!

Not much new with us, home today, so trying to catch up on some housework.. boring!

Now I'm feeling very told off for moving stuff LOL! I can't help it, I am a bit stubborn like that. My mum is exactly the same, it's genetic . We work until we are literally falling apart!

Amelia - Wow, you have great taste LOL! It's such a gorgeous bassinette isn't it? I paid $75 for it and it came with sheets and a gorgeous pink blanket. It seriously looks like it's new . I had the Boori Matilda cradle for K, and although it is lovely, I didn't like the fact that it rocked whether you wanted it to or not! I found it really hard to pat him off to sleep in it because it constantly swayed, so after a day I put him straight in his cot and sold the cradle.

Kellie - Yuck, housework! I'm trying not to look at mine atm, maybe it will just magically get done by itself? I'm more than happy to share my baby shopping tips LOL!

Kaz - Yay for the mints helping! They only make things worse for me . I've heard fruit tingles can work wonders too because they get fizzy.

Saffi - Aww you poor thing . Don't cough on me, I've had my fair share of sickness lately . We have a Phil & Ted's E3 pram which is the older one. It seems pretty good, it's nice and narrow and not to heavy to lift. It's going to be a pain that I can't fit shopping underneath though. The dresses your MIL made sound so lovely . I bet she loved making them!

Trish/Amelia - we have the same bassinette!! How beautiful is it?? I brought mine brand new on sale for $125. I was the same, saw it and had to have it! I love that it's bigger than average so I'm hoping bub will stay in it for longer. I've had three different bassinettes for each bub, hoping this will be the best. DS hated the last one which was a beautiful antique wicker one, but not very practical it turned out so I sold that ages ago. Made lots of money on it though cause we had repaired and resprayed it etc.

DH set ours up in our room on the w/end just so we could see where it fit etc. Going to wash all the bassinette sheets (are you guys using cotton or flanelette sheets??) etc today or tomorrow, crappy weather today so might wait till tomorrow when it's supposed to be sunny. $75 is a GREAT price Trish, I was watching a few on ebay and they were holding their value pretty well, most selling for around $120-140. I have NO idea why people were buying them second hand for that much when they retail for around $150 so I just went and brought a new one!

Saffi - wow, I didn't realise how close behind me you are!!

Trish - nursery pretty much done for now. After boo arrives we'll decorate it properly. A friend returned 3 boxes of stuff yesterday so I went through that last night. So have another load of clothes, sheets, wraps etc to do and also have to wash the car seat cover, rocker cover and bouncer cover...then I think that's pretty much it! Going to make a start on packing my bag this week too. I was a bit worried we wouldn't have enough winter/long sleeved clothes but there were heaps in the stuff I got yesterday so we'll have plenty now. If we have another boy, we have sooooo many clothes that I've already told my mum to tell people no clothes if they ask what to buy the baby as a gift...I'm not expecting many gifts actually for bub #3 but mum thinks I'll still get plenty

Hope all the sick mummies and babies are feeling better soon

And great news on all the tiny bubba scans

Kim glad you had a nice time away.

Kaz Glad you starting to feel better, & also glad you had a great weekend.

Kate yay for being a SAHM again.

Trish naughty naughty, Hope your feeling slightly better today,

Willow can't believe how close you are to your due date, i'm so looking forward to your BA.

Saffi hope you feel better soon. We have the Vibe & i love it.
Only downside is when they're both in the pram there is no room for bags etc & it can feel heavy.. Overall it's a smooth ride & both my girls love it.

Nothing new here, seems all of us have either a cough(Kodi & I), a Temp & the sniffles(Maddi) & just the full on flu (Phil). The joys of winter!

kim, that sounds like a lot of fun, the couple of times i have left lochie overnight killed me too....

trish, thats so cute that you were nesting.... i was big on the nesting with lachlan, i detolled his entire room about 3 weeks before he was due, lol.

amelia, no good about the fights, especially with new bub not far off.... hope it gets better

nerida, i was at the baby show yesterday aswell. i bought 12 new nappies so i more than doubled my mcn colection while i was there, was a whole lot of fun hehe... Lachlan is really good, he is so so so much fun at the moment. i hear a new word every day and he continually does stuff to impress us, we are laughing all day. he has a big range of words now too... its so much easier than guessing what he wants. im starting a little play group too for all those brisbane girls if you are interested. give me ideas and days if you want.

Kaz- congratulations on your pregnancy, sorry ive been away and just seen your ticker!

Saffi- we bought a phil & ted whe i was pg with Tyron. Seeings Nixon was only 18months old when Ty was born he was still in the pram all the time. its good because its not a side by side so fits everywhere, it does baby & toddler or 2 toddlers. Doesnt have a stack of storage though when u have 2 toddlers cause the basket becomes feet area.

    Willow- wow 35weeks for you!

we went to melbourne for a trip, just me and the boys. I drove down on my own and all! it was great i caught up with lots of friends, went past my old house we built, went to my gf baby shower was the starting reason why i went, caught up with my old mums group and prem playgroup, an old neighbour etc. it was exhausting at times but i feel i accomplished a big acheivement!
my mum went down for a few days so actually drove back with us so was good to have someone else or i prob would have split the trip into 2 days.

kate- thats great u guys are talking ttc again! and 12months will come around pretty quick im sure!

kim- thats aweomse to get some help to have a weekend away how nice!
