    Drawer Liners??

    HI,

Just wondering if anyone uses drawer liners in their timber drawers to procted their MCN's or baby clothes linen etc. If so where did you get them from?

I have seen some cute pink teddy ones on ebay they are scented like baby powder just wondering if the fragrance would be over powering or is there unscented stuff available?

    Thanks

    hey nae
with my dd i got some from bigw, pink with flowers. They were only cheap, like $3.50 from what i recall. Because our drawers were new, they really smelt of the varnish and i'd wash the clothes, and a day later they'd smell gross.

I found that they lost their scent very quickly, maybe after 2 weeks??

I see in pillow talk they have nursery scent pouches, but i've been told their smell gets reallly over bearing after a while.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks TT,

Our stuff is second hand so the drawers don't smell like anything, we have soe drawers in the cupboard that are very old and normal stuff catches on them so I don't want to ruin anything by it being caught. Baby stuff seems so delicate.

I think baby powered smell would be ok and I spose if they loose their scent quickly then it should be fine by the time bubby comes, I have just never used drawer liners before so have no idea about them.

MIL gave me some frangipani ones and they absolutely reaked I threw them out after a few days they gave me such a headache.

I use brown paper - I'm not keen on scents going through the baby clothes.

For drawers where I'm keeping other stuff (not clothes; eg. bottles, lotions etc) that I don't want to roll around, I put a layer of brown paper covered by a layer of this rubber stuff from Big W - it comes on a roll in various colours, specifically for putting places to stop things rolling. It's a mesh, you can cut it with scissors.

You can also buy those liners that are like actual boxes so you can seperate things like socks nappies and bibs, these are great you can get heaps of different sized ones from Ikea!!!
