    Dumb Question here but .....

... I was wondering whether or not you can use your monitor (with pads like the Angelcare ones) with the baby hammocks?

Clearly I have no idea this may seems to "common sense" to some ... I did have another dumb question but preggy brain has got the better of me

Not a silly question! But no, you do need a flat surface. Also, the hammock constantly moves, even slightly so it wouldn't be able to accurately gauge your bub's movements.

ETA - I feel ditzy every day LOL

You can get a portable breathing monitor called, respisense, which clips into the top of the baby's nappy. If you google it you will get all the info.

OK I remembered the other dumb question -

Can you use the Angelcare monitor without the pads at all? I know it sounds silly but I was thinking of using a hammock but forgot about this when I brought the monitor BUT the monitor will be handy for when bub goes into the cot.

Makes logical sense in my mind but then I do have a preggy brain tee hee

Yes you can, Nae Nae. We still have DD's hooked up without the pads (and have done since she could get up and move around). It works with sound same as any other. Once bubs can get up and down on their own the movement/breathing ones are a bit pointless, since the pads don't cover that much space.

    yeah you can
at the back of the angelcare base monitor (the one that you put near the baby), it has a switch behind it, you can flick the switch to "sound only". You can do this if the pads are connected or not, doesn't matter.

does that make sense? i'm feeling a bit ditzy today too
