I need a baby monitor that has flashing lights

I'm doing some research on what I'm hoping is not a tricky issue.

My parents are both Deaf - Dad profoundly, mum around 70% deaf with hearing aid on. At their home (where I was a baby!) they have a full system rigged into the roof so that they put a microphone into the cot and a light in their room, the lounge and the kitchen will flash. The baby crying bit has been disconnected, but the lights still flash when the phone rings or someone is ringing the doorbell.

The monitor I'm looking for is really only for when they baby sit at my place.

I'm keen to keep it small if possible as we are in an apartment. To be honest, I probably wouldn't buy one for our house unless I needed it for mum and dad.

Has anyone seen something like this? Suggestions on brands would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Fiona

We have one at work with blue lights on the main unit - not sure about the remote unit - I will have a look at it when I go back later in the week for you.

i've got the fisher price sound and lights monitor (i think that's what it's called). it lights up with noise (has five lights that light up according to how loud the noise is - kind of like a noise-meter IYKWIM). it was about $50-$60 from memory. the receiver can be battery powered too. i got it from k-mart when bub was first born and it's still going strong.

I googled it and yes the FP is the one we have - and the lights are on the remote unit, has one big light on base unit. It is very good - I'd go for that one. I think it cost about $60.
