How did you know when enough was enough?

    Hi Girls,

I've just started on the cloth nappy journey & I am already experiencing how addicitive it can be. So far I have 12 in my collection but I am definitely getting more.

How many do you have in your stash & how did you know when enough was enough? There are so many cute designs out there I want them all ha ha. I know that once I get around 20 nappies that ideally thats all the nappies I should need in regards to numbers but I don't think I will want to stop buying.

Also how often do you ladies wash yours? Every day? Every 2nd day?

I haven't started using mine yet but I have 24 BG (it was their full time package) and I have 10 Pop-in's (starter pack from memory) so thats 34 which I have no doubt will be MORE than ample.

I'd get more than 20, more like 24-30. But my stash will never be 'complete' . If you want another child you might consider more like 40.

It really depends on how often you want to wash, and remember that some take 2 days to try.

Do you know what? I thought 24-26 nappies would be enough for me too but you have to allow for drying times on bad weather days too!!! And bamboo takes longer to dry for example that's why I have a mixed stash.
    I have over 50 but i'm addicted. !!!!!

Oh good, then I will most definitely be buying more than 20 nappies. Ha ha, I get so excited waiting for the mail to arrive each day knowing I have fluffy coming.

I will not disclose how many I have

But I do have more than enough for 2 in full time cloth - and I wash every day, not because I run out otherwise, but because my kids have toxic wee that likes to eat the bamboo

Ah well I have... um... 60ish ... BUT lol that is spread over different sizes, and we've used them since she was only a week or two old (bit hazy LOL) so thats not too bad i don't think.

I'd say 20-30, depending on how often you want to wash (we wash usually every 2nd day) and taking into account bad weather and all that.

    Hey Leigh

I am a 2 - 3 month newbie - I have around 25-30 (with 4 CT couture in the cupboard hoping he is gunna fit into them a bit further down the track ... not a good fit right now).

I have a mix of half OSFM, and half sized.

I live in a cold winter place so with pockets like greenkids and snap ins like Ittis - have bought a couple of extra boosters as the shells dry quickly - this is how I get over the drying issue. I wash about every 1.5 days - but do wet down the booster when I take them off.

I find pop-ins take so long to dry inside on the airer - same for bubblebubs .... 3 days for real dryness.

    Good luck hun

I haven't even started using mine and I can't bring myself to state how many I have

I keep thinking... have I got enough... and I think the answer is you can never have enough fluff!

I have around 80 for 2.5 in cloth. I wash every day, and I STILL run out!! I have a big pile next to me now being folded, and the change table is empty at the moment. I have been told by non cloth users that I have too many
