3-7-09: For those who have followed, Inertia is an Aunt.. again and again!

Well as some of you may have read, we recently moved my heavily pregnant sister back to my dads place. This morning SisL, who has precipitous labours went into labour. She called SisM to come look after the kids but dad came home from the doctors after a short while and called an Ambulance, which took 15 minutes to get there after a brief argument with the lady that her having just gone into labour is an emergency.

They got there and asked about the contractions - now 1 minute apart after just 20 minutes labouring. The guy said "Woah, we were told 15 minutes!" ... No, she was told I have 15 minute labours!!!

They rushed her there under lights and she managed to get to delivery in time to birth a very healthy 3.5kg baby boy - no name just yet. L 52cms, HC 34cms. Just a couple of small grazes (she is stoked). However she has retained a little bit of placenta and they have her monitored right now. Hoping it doesn't cause any problems.

And just to add excitement to the day, SILN has been labouring at home since 4am. So we will no doubt have 2 little mens with the same birthday in the family! Will update with Little Man number 2's info when I have it.

So happy for them, but patiently waiting for my turn seeing how I was due first.

Aww, congrats on becoming an Aunty again! For a second there I thought you were posting your own BA . Wow, if you have your bub today that would make three in the same family!

My sister and her SIL birthed their bubs on the same day too, exactly 2 weeks to the day after I had DS2. Lots of new bubs for our families

    Congrats Aunty Inertia!!!

There are still enough hours in the day for there to be 3 family birthdays today (no pressure though ). It would be exciting to say the least.

Will they be in the same hospital?

Will they be in the same hospital?
Yes they will. I am hoping quite badly that they will find a way to put both of them together in a room as they have the same support network. If they don't, my poor brother is going to be so torn between his first DS and our sis who needs her family.

Hoping for the trifecta myself by my labours are so long I figure that even if I did start properly now, baby wont be born til the 4th. The only time I have ever had a baby the same day labour started was with Sam. I remember watching the breaking news on the waterfall train smash before leaving for the hospital and he was born at 11:48pm.
