    I'm just not sure...

    Hi there!

I'm about to BURST! I've just tested positive on a HPT and I know don't know what to do with myself! My husband is out of town on business and I'm all alone.. I've called him and sent him pictures and he's ecstatic, but I'm still in denial!!

How possible is it to be a false positive?? Does that happen???

Arrrgh!! I'm so excited, but so scared that it's not real!

My GP said that false positives are very unlikely (false negatives are more likely).....

    So good luck :-)

Hi & congratulations. I don't think false positives are common, I think you are more likely to get a false negative. So... sounds like this is it. YAY. Enjoy every moment.

    oooohhhh kkaaaayyy... i'm calm

I've done 2 more tests and, while not as dark, the line definitely came up!!!

You know.. I've had little to no symptoms this cycle.. my BBs are not that tender, but usually they are.. and i'm still feeling like AF is coming.. is this normal???

I guess it's different for everyone, but i just don't FEEL pregnant, y'know?? It's early days, and 11DPO may even be too early for symptoms.. so I'm going to wait and see and not get my hopes up..

thanks for your responses girls! puts my mind at rest at least for one more night... and then first morning urine!!

i did 2 tests, before going to the doctors, then when i did go they didnt even bother testing me again, my doctor said home tests are so reliable.

I was like you...found it hard to believe at first....but home tests are very reliable. Early PG symptoms can be similar to AF, at least for me, even had some early AF-like cramps with all my PGs, thought it was on the way, but no.And I also went to the doc for confirmation & they just did another home test

    Congratulations!!

I felt like AF was coming right up until around 9-10 weeks. BB's were not tender at all until 3 days post birth when my milk came in. I didn't 'feel' pregnant until 19 weeks when I felt him kicking for the first time. It's hard but try not to panic, stay grounded (which it sounds like you are) but you have every reason to be positive and excited too.
