ABC Everest Buggy with reclining baby/toddler seat?
Hi there,
I know I keep posting about tandem/double strollers - bear with me, I cannot make up my mind!!
Does anyone have an ABC Everest (single) buggy with the reclining newborn/toddler seat on top?
I am interested in this option because a) I can have the newborn facing me, b) it will only take up the width of a single pram - good for shops etc, and c) the pram will still be suitable for lots of walking on outdoor terrain.
I am however, a little concerned about the stability of the baby/toddler seat on a pram with only 1 front wheel (tipping etc). Have any of you encountered this? Apparently it is possible to purchase a 4th wheel to attach to the front - but I'm wondering if this is necessary?
Also, how do find the pram manouvers/steers with the infant seat on top?
Checkout their website JB - the demos are well worth seeing. I had a look before we bought our pram and wasn't impressed at how difficult they seemed to be to fold. In the demo I watched recently, you had to remove the wheels to put it in the boot!
It would be interesting to see one IRL but we couldn't find one over here in WA. We ended up getting the Baby Jogger City Elite but the toddler seat doesn't recline. We don't plan on having our second bubs for a few years anyway so it shouldn't really be an issue.
Thanks Taurean.
Checked out the vid. I love the pram but it does seem rather long folded...
I have a Camry station wagon (the car in the vid is a regular sedan) so hopefully I can fit it in there without having to take the front wheel off...
So far Baby Expo in Balcatta is the only outlet I've found that stocks this pram, but in limited colours. Otherwise it must be ordered from Melbourne.
Baby jogger looks like a fab pram - the best sun canopies I have seen yet, in fact. If they had the ability to reverse the seats/handle so my newborn could face me, I would have bought it in a heartbeat!!
Ah, you should have no probs with a wagon. They are a great pram, it was just the folding that we didn't like - hence why we got the Baby Jogger My sister has an Adventure Buggy (it's 4 years old now) and it really is a top pram. Glad you got to see it IRL too. I didn't know they sold them in WA!!
