Flu Across the Desk From Me

Hi Everyone, Just turned up at work and my co-worker who I sit very close to has the chills and says he is getting a cold (he's obviously already got one, he looks like total crapola!.) I went to see my boss who suggested I move seats and wear a mask. Im mad because shouldn't he be responsible enough to wear a mask also? Why turn up to work when you are obviously so sick?. People are offering him cold and flu tablets. I am a shy person when it comes to confrontation but I don't think I have a choice here... I can't go home to work there, I work in TV and work on air, right next to mr virus!. any suggestions?. OMG as I am writing this a lady 2 metrs away just told someone they are getting sick with a 'flu' ahhhhhhh am I going crazy paronoid people?.

ide leave.. go home. If u cant, get a mask. They shouldnt be there if they are sick. Thats what they tell everyone about the swine flu to stop it spreading. If u are sick, dont go anywhere! me and DD have horrible head colds, but we arnt risking it and have been housebound for a week now.

I would say, to your boss:

"I know this is awkward, but please either send him home sick, or I am going to go home and get a dr's certificate, as swine flu (which this man may have) is extremely dangerous to pregnant women."

Do you have an occupational health and safety person in your workplace?
