    Chest of drawers for nursery

    Hi Ladies

How essential is a chest of drawers for baby's room, when you already have built-in wardrobes with shelves? What would typically be the neccessaties kept in a chest of drawers, keeping in mind that we are also purchasing a changetable with 2 shelves.

    TIA.

Our chest of drawers has change table on top. 2 small drawers at top 1 has nappy sacks and samples creams etc and other has nappies and wipes.

1st big drawer has singlets and tshirts
2nd long sleave all in ones and um cant think sorry
    3rd pants and jammies
    4th jumpers

We have a wardrobe in DS room that one side has toys that hes to little for and other side has 2 shelves with cloth terry nappies from when a litle bug and chuckky and grobabgs. Then it has drawers 1 has bibs, 1 has socks other 2 have stuff LOL

We've got built ins in Nate's room with shelves but no dresser. I do have a low unit with 2 shelves in it to put 'stuff' on - lamp, toys photos etc. In there are spare nappy inserts, blankets and wraps. His clothes are all in the wardrobe shelves/hanging.

However, when Darcy was born, she had a wardrobe twice the size of Nate's and still had a full chest of drawers.
I just learned with Nate not to buy so many useless clothes. Plus being the second you hardly receive any gifts....

We have both - drawers and shelves in wardrobe.

In baby's room we have nappies, socks, singlets, growsuits, wraps, cloth nappies etc. in drawers and proper clothes, blankets and just stuff on the shelves.

In DD's room we have all "small" clothes like singlets, socks, Pj's, hats etc. in drawers and other clothes on shelves.

You could prob do without shelves if you had to but as they grow older they will need more space for more and bigger clothes!
